EVERETT

I woke up early in the morning and went for a jog. After returning home, I freshened up and had some breakfast. I took out my phone and sat on the couch, scrolling through the information on Edwin Rodriguez. The article mentioned that he was the heir to a company but defied his parents to pursue photography. He earns millions from his work, has a passion for animals and nature, and recently visited an orphanage. His dream company is the KL Company. Yesterday, he collaborated with Parker's company for an experience but declined an offer to become a full-time employee because of his aspirations with KL Company.

I decided to uncover any loopholes in KL Company and its CEO. I smirked as I discovered several. I compiled all the information and emailed it to the CEO. As expected, within a few minutes, I received a call from him.

"What do you want, you bitch?" he asked, his voice tense and angry.

"Your company," I said firmly with a deep voice.

"No way! Why would I give you my company?"

"Is it really your company, Mr. Jameson? Come on, don't drag this out. I just need your company. It would be nice if you willingly gave it; I don't like taking things forcefully," I said, mocking him.

"Are you threatening me right now?"

"I will give you 2 billion for the company. You know it's more than the market value."

"What?"

"I said don't drag it out, Mr. Jameson. You are running out of time."

"Okay, okay, I will give you the company."

Just like that, I acquired KL Company. Later, I anonymously posted about Mr. Jameson's involvement in embezzlement and other illegal activities. I decided to address all the loopholes in the company myself. No one knew I was the CEO of KL Company except Jameson and me. I revealed that Mr. Jameson stepped down as CEO due to police allegations, but I didn't reveal my identity.

It's time for an interview. As the new CEO, I should be responsible for conducting interviews. I checked myself in the mirror one last time—black and white suit designed exclusively for me by Chanel's designer, hair let down, and heels from Gucci. Within the next 15 minutes, I was in the CEO's office of KL Company with my PA, Amy. I greeted every director, shareholder, and manager of the company and introduced myself. Everyone was pleased that Jameson had stepped down as CEO.

While strolling through the office and checking for hidden devices, I discovered a secret room. Meanwhile, Amy informed me that the person I needed to interview had arrived. Here he comes.

He entered the office with a nervous expression, dressed in Celine and LV.

"Nice meeting you, Mr. Edwin Rodriguez," I said as I sat down at my desk.

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Ms. Everett," he said after reading the nameplate on my desk.

"So, what makes you want to work with our company even though you are a photographer, Mr. Rodriguez?"

"Well, it piqued my curiosity."

"Curious about?"

"Curious about your company, but now I'm curious about you, Ms. Everett."

"Curious about me?"

"Yes. You acquired the company, which is ranked third in the global business world, just like that."

"Well, as you said, you were curious about me. I was curious about this company, so I bought it." He doesn't seem to remember me, judging by the way he talks.

"Wow, that's an unexpected answer from you, Ms. Everett."

"When you want something bad enough, you find a way to get it." we both fell silent after that until he broke it

"So, is my interview concluded here, Ms. Everett?"

"Yes, wait for the email from the company."

"Okay," he said, stood up from the chair, and was about to leave the office when I asked him something.

"Aren't you nervous about me rejecting you?" He turned around and replied,

"No, you wouldn't reject me, Ms. Everett." He winked at me as he exited the office with long strides.

I found myself both angry and amused by him.

As I watched him leave, I couldn't help but notice the confident way he carried himself, his charm undeniable. There was something infuriatingly captivating about him. I decided to take a risk and add a little spice to our interaction.

"Mr. Rodriguez," I called out just as he reached the door.

He turned around, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Yes, Ms. Everett?"

I leaned back in my chair, crossing my legs slowly, making sure he noticed. "Are you always this confident?"

His eyes flicked to my legs briefly before meeting my gaze. "Confidence is part of my charm. But with you, Ms. Everett, it's more of a challenge."

"A challenge, you say?" I arched an eyebrow, intrigued by his boldness.

"Indeed. I like challenges," he said, his voice dropping a notch, adding a layer of intimacy to the conversation.

"Be careful, Mr. Rodriguez. You might find yourself in over your head," I warned, my voice low and sultry.

He stepped closer, the air between us charged with a sudden intensity. "I think I can handle it."

"Good. Because working here won't be easy. I have high expectations," I replied, my eyes locking onto his.

"I wouldn't expect anything less," he said, a hint of a challenge in his voice.

"Then we'll see how well you do. Welcome to KL Company, Mr. Rodriguez," I said, extending my hand.

He took it, his grip firm and warm. "Thank you, Ms. Everett. I look forward to working with you."

As he left, I couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. This was going to be interesting
