Chapter 85 Final Battle V A Grandmother

Midoriya watched the blood drip down into Tomura's mouth as he felt Float disappear from his body. He knew at once that he is never going to see Nana's vestige again.

Midoriya may seem Naïve to some people with his mentality of saving everyone he comes across, but even with that, he is a person with a high IQ honed by his relentless research of quirks he had done all his life. He knew there was only one reason that they will deny him the knowledge of the plan they are taking.

"Stop this, we can save him there's still a chance" Midoriya screamed and tried to activate One For All to break out of Inazuma's hands, but he felt disconnected from his quirk.

He can hear the vestiges left inside him asking forgiveness, but that did not matter to him at all. He kept on trying to push Inazuma so that he can move. Inazuma was slightly surprised as he felt pressure from what Midoriya was trying to do but remembering that the Kid's body he is holding has been broken down and remade countless times made him see why he was strong. Izuku Midoriya even without his quirk had become strong. But right now, it was not enough.

Inazuma vibrated his hands, shaking Midoriya's brain to disorient him. He can still feel Midoriya trying to fight back, but the disorientation was highly stressful that he was unable to do anything properly other than lay on the fleshy limb where Inazuma placed him.

Inazuma looked at what he had done. He knew that even if he had done nothing, Shimura would have died in the cannon. But even then it left a bad aftertaste in his mouth that he had to resort to this option at the end even after all that he did till now. But even then the chances of it ending in a distasteful end is very high. He had almost accomplished saving the kid from the shackles that had been put on him all these years. But at the end, he had to give all of it up to chance with less than 2% chance of the kid surviving at the end.

Inside AFO

"So, you're my Grandma" The kid asked as he was sitting on the woman's lap.

"Yes I am" She replied with a smile as she hugged him close as if she were afraid he will disappear.

"My sister wanted to meet you" He said and suddenly a picture of his past formed in front of him. About the time where his sister had sneaked in and found the picture of their grandmother.

Nana watched the image silently with a smile, but her expression stiffened within moments as she watched the subsequent acts of her son as he physically harmed his own children.

"I am not angry at you, you know" Tenko started "Before I never thought about you and after when I learned about the truth of why you left, I understand why you did" Tenko said as the memory disappeared.

"I know why you are here now" Tenko said as the image of Inazuma outside came in front of them. "My quirk had managed to create new quirks based on what I want, and I wanted to know what that man was thinking and a quirk formed for reading minds and memories."

Nana's eyes widened slightly as she did not expect such a mature thought from the child. Tenko turned towards her as if he can hear her thoughts, no he was hearing her thoughts she realised.

"He lied when he said that the only option for me was to die" Tenko said that immediately froze Nana.

Before coming here, the plan Inazuma told consisted of Nana convincing that Tenko Shimura cannot live in the world and therefore must disappear. If Nana convinces him that it is the optimum choice, the adapting quirk will make him completely disappear. This was the only way out of this according to him. Even if they managed to stop Tenko from causing further harm, the victims he had created till today will ask for retribution for the pain they felt because of his crusade of destruction that he committed. Even if it was revealed that he was brainwashed, the people will still have a lot of hate for him, leading him to have no hope in living a peaceful life in society.

The other problem was the now newly created adapting quirk which can create quirks simply because of the needs of Tenko and therefore will elevate him into the strongest being in the world within hours and the people will have a hard time trusting something that powerful existing in the world.

"He does it because he has no choice in the matter" Nana tried her way to console him "He does not necessarily want your end, he was just not able to see a way for you to be safe after this" Nana's heart broke as she said to her grandson that the only way this can end is for him to die.

Tenko shook his head "When I looked into his mind, unlike the other's in One For All and Izuku Midoriya, something prevented me from seeing his deeper memories. I felt like increasing my strength, but something told me that doing so will end with me facing something I won't be able to fathom, so I only read the surface thoughts he had when he told his plan to all of you."

Nana was confused as she did not know where Tenko was going with this. Then Tenko turned towards her and this time he had a small smile.'

"What I meant was not him wishing me to die, he wanted me to live, and the way was also in his mind as well. He only felt that there was a 2% chance of it succeeding, but I can make sure it does."

Nana was still unable to understand.

"This is goodbye in a way, but make sure to watch over me when I wake up" Tenko said.
