Chapter Thirteen

Ava has two hours before her business meeting with Seth. When she woke up, he wasn't there anymore and the storm was gone.

Ava closes her curtains, so she can shower and get dressed without the fear of someone watching. Even though it is the top floor planes, window washers, etc. Can sneak a peek and try to get pictures.

She may clean up after celebrities, but Ava is an Ex Victoria's Secret model. She was young and was offered a ton of money and travel costs. She took the offer so she could pay for college. Even though her parents are loaded and she had a boyfriend, she didn't want any form of dept. She didn't need loans or anything. Her Ex-husband didn't mind, because of the outfits, she would bring home.

Every once in a while people bring her up and talk about how she was a talent in the making. Ava hated the attention, but the attention helped her business later on. Men are very gullible and after seeing her 2011 issue of Vouge people recognized who she was. So when she started her business in 2012 men were very fond of her looks and smarts, so they ended up hiring her.

Ava sort of fell into the job. She loved helping people and wanted to be there for the girls. They were getting screwed over left and right due to publicity stunts, their bosses would cause. Ava was protected because, she had a boyfriend, but articles still came out saying she was cheating and then being an underwear model was a form of cheating. To her, it was a way to make rent and pay off loans.

In 2011 slut-shaming became very popular and all the girls were getting targeted left and right. Ava was pissed, she saw how hard all the girls struggled to stay thin. They also had to give up so much time. Ava took it upon herself to speak up. So at a show, she walked out and spoke her mind on the situation. That made national headlines and Ava got fired. The girls thanked her, so did the media. Slut-shaming became a bigger awareness campaign for girls. You are not a whore just because you shave above the knee and if you chose to dress the way you want to or feel like yourself.

Ava takes her clothes off and looks in the mirror she isn't that twenty-year-old that could wear a negative size. She isn't the girl who couldn't stand up for men and women, but when it came to the important people in her life, they treated her like a doormat. She can't believe she let them. A single tear falls down her face.

She wipes it away and looks at her tattoo, it's a symbol that means strength.

It's small but it means so much to Ava. She got it when she finally found the strength to leave her deadbeat ex. It's a constant reminder that she is strong enough to fight anything. No one has seen it unless Seth saw it and ignored it. But they were focused on pleasure, not tattoos.

Ava hops into the shower and runs her hand over the shower button it turns on along with her shower playlist.

The tiles begin heating up making her feel all warm and cozy. She then washes up quickly.

Ava is not really into doing her makeup every day. She only wears the minimum. Mascara and gloss, nights she doesn't sleep, she may need a little concealer but that is it. Since this is a business meeting she wants to look hot, but professional.  She slides on a robe and begins getting ready. She starts with her makeup because if she were to get dressed and then did it she would probably get makeup on her clothes.

Ava puts on her moisturizer and then some chapstick. She then puts on one coat of mascara, just enough to give them color, and then she puts on some lip tint. It is a brick red color that brings out the honey color in her eyes.

She walks over to her closet.

"Maybe I can do business but keep the pleasure to myself, Bear." Bear could give no fucks about this situation, so he starts chasing after his own shadow. Barking and growling at it like it is an intruder.

"Maybe I can show a little cleavage. Oh yes, with my gold bear pendant. I love that necklace, Taylor got it for me." Ava walks over to her jewelry box and pulls out that necklace. She quickly puts it on and then she looks over at Bear.

"So, bark once if you think, I am stupid for trying to look nice. Don't bark if this is a good idea." She gets no response as she puts on her navy blue two-piece undergarment set.

"My legs have been waxed so we are showing them. Oh, I've got it, my red romper. It's business with just the right amount of sexy." Ava says this as she searches for it. Once she finds it she slips it on and then looks for her diamond stud earrings. She may have before the divorce took her ex's card and she spent a bunch of the money. The retail therapy helped a lot and she more than put a dent into his bank account.

He deserved it for being such a Dick. Ava wouldn't have been surprised if he was having an affair. His long trips left her in radio silence. He never called or texted.

Ava looks in the mirror as she flattens out her outfit a little. Ava looks at her phone and realizes the time. The butterflies start again, she is a little nervous. She was intimate in more ways than one with him. Ava is affected by him right now even though, he is not even in the same room as her. He isn't even on the same side of the city as her.

Seth gets ready at his house, he had his assistant buy him a golden tie. He also had his suit pressed and a new pair of shoes delivered. He is currently trying to figure out ways to wiggle into Ava's huge heart. All he hopes is maybe there is enough love for him. Seth never thought in a million years he would meet a girl that could only be dreamt up.

They both head out of their places on time, ready for their meeting together.
