In a far-off distance, there exists a land very special to the people.
This land was where people gathered once every year for a chance to become the almighty master. It is also a gateway to a place called the Other Side.
This year was no different as people from other different places were heading there through a mysterious black space.
This place was one of the collective places of The Boundaries, known as the 300th Boundary.
In a vast field where one couldn't tell north from south and east from west; a place where directions seem jumbled, floated two men with black robes wearing serene expressions.
One was an old man with grey hair and the other was younger with dark hair. The two seem to have been here for a long time and had their hands behind their back as they gazed into the distance.
"Watcher Mountain, it seems we are about to have company soon," said the younger-looking man with dark hair, looking contemplative.
The old man stayed silent, he turned to the sky as if looking for something.
Little later, he had an expression of thought, saying, "They will be here in a bit, there are quite a lot of them as usual."
'As usual…' A curtain glint flashes through the younger man's eyes as he thoughts this word.
"Are there any other unusual things?" the younger man couldn't help but ask.
"I don't know. Things have been too strange these past decade, I can hardly tell anything apart," the old man replied in an ancient voice, his face shifting showing an interested expression. "Hehe, those old watchers on the other boundary must also be having headaches."
The younger man seems to agree with a smile, he looks at the massive ethereal wall at their back whose width was unknown and its height extended beyond the skies.
This massive barrier was white colored and made up of some type of energy that was separating the world from coming in contact with whatever was on the other side of the wall.
They have been here for a long time; overlooking this place and also overseeing the trial of a master.
While they were in thought, the sky noticeably darkened as though dark rain-carrying clouds were gathering and a great rain was about to pour.
"I can't help but always feel awed by such an amount of people bringing them to The Boundaries." the younger man sighed looking at the sky.
"That not a thing people like us could talk about,"
Whom!@!
As the old man finished, the sky went completely dark. The all-encompassing lights were forced to hide from coming in contact with the massive pitch-black hole that had appeared above without notice!
The thing in the sky was extremely intimidating and seemed to threaten the world; falling silent.
Upon its appearance, both the old and younger man bowed their head in reverence toward the sky, their body was tense as sweat covered their back.
This was not only happening in this region but in many other places as well.
The world seems to tremble from just their sear appearance.
Fortunately, it didn't exist for long as numerous lights descended from within and disappeared the way it appeared.
…
Looking from far away,
In the vast plane, numerous dots appeared among the green.
White and the people who had been in the Moss Village appeared in the green plane.
For a moment, he was still looking at the sky.
"..."
The next moment, he turned to the unfamiliar lands and the people that had appeared in surprise.
'Black hole..?' Just now he had been at the village! The time it took to reach here was just an instant. He looked at the several hundreds of people in the field in slight surprise.
But a moment was all it took for him to calm down as he gazed at the massive white barrier in the distance that reached above the sky and beyond the horizon. Immediately, the word emerges in his head, 'The Boundaries.'
The hundreds of other people realized their situation, they were in an unfamiliar land and looking at each other in shock and surprise. They were just in their homeland, and in an instant, they arrived in an unfamiliar place with people like themselves numbering thousands!
But before they could feel more shock and realize where they were, a sudden feeling of weakness and powerlessness overpowered their body, causing the majority to drop to the ground; many of them fell unconscious, some energy drained, some had headaches and some even vomited.
Most of them fell into various symptoms, the vast plane was filled with different suffering and unpleasant sounds.
"The hell is this? Ah.. I don't feel good," a weak-looking youth couldn't help but howl.
"F*ck, why is this happeninig to me. My uncle told me I can't fall unconscious no matter what, but, this–" another youth cursed; his body, was on the verge of giving out but still held on.
It wasn't only the two, the majority affected by the strange phenomenon was cursing, screaming, and howling throughout the field.
The two men floating in the sky didn't say anything and just looked at the mayhem; they seemed to have expected such an outcome and were amused.
Surprisingly, amidst the chaos, many still stood firmly but their facial expression was struggling, they were struggling to overcome the abnormality in their body. Among them, Young Ju and the village chief son were also present but the rest were in miserable condition.
The most abnormal thing was that some people weren't affected a bit and were doing fine! The most eye-catching of the bunch was a redhead youth with a spear, he stood straight as a pole looking at the miserable crowd, his eyes reflected indifference. He didn't look like he planned on helping anyone and just stood there unbothered.
There was also a youth with black hair and a sword strapped on his back, his slit dark pupils were like snakes and looked extremely sinister. Besides him and the redhead, a lady with slim green robes, green hair, and eyes like enchanting emeralds was sitting calmly among the masses and was very difficult to notice if not for her eye-catching features.
At first, she didn't seem to have any weapon, but two short swords that were made up of special material and giving off an emerald hue were on her waist; perfectly blending in with her robes.
A moment or two have passed since they arrived.
White had been marveling at the unworldly barrier that stood in front, this was the second wonder he saw and had his interest piqued. He looked around the environment for some time and at the mess with a thoughtful expression, noticing some people who remained normal under such circumstances, he knew they weren't ordinary.
White knew of the reason everyone was having this abnormal reaction.
The bodies of these people were used to their normal environment and when came into contact with this place that wasn't normal and had an otherworldly aura mixed into it, this caused a change to their body and soul.
As for the people who could resist meant that the talent of the body and power of the soul were monstrous.
Upon noticing them, they notice him too, and check up on him.
White remained unbothered as his skinny face and body made the people unable to distinguish his looks properly. His pale white hair, eyebrows, and eyes that seemed mysterious and calm, at all times added an air of unpredictability and mysteries.
These people just glaze at each other for a while before returning to their way, none said anything to the other and minding their situation.
White looked beside him searching for the little girl that was always beside him. What he saw made his eyebrow raise a little.
Airi was running here and there on the field, from one orphan to another. She seemed unaffected by the pressure but her expression was tense as she saw the orphans and villagers suffer.
'Natural endowment in sword and talent of body and soul,' thought White looking at her weirdly. Only the girl Young Ju And the village chief son were doing barely alright.
Lu, Ruu, Leiju, and some of the villagers' youths were barely hanging on.
"Attention!"
At that time an ancient voice resounded from the sky. This voice seems like a command from the sky that couldn't be disobeyed no matter what.
The surroundings turn silent and people's voices cut abruptly.
Most people who didn't notice the two people in the sky at first couldn't help but exclaim in shock.
