First Trial

"They are fl-flying!!!"

"Masters!!"

Numerous voices that were filled with disbelief resounded looking at the two people in the sky.

Master!

For most of the people here, this was the first time they had seen a genuine master. They felt extremely lucky and fortunate that they got to witness them, but what a pity, they didn't get the chance to express their excitement and joy due to the problem with their bodies.

At the time a voice thundered down from the sky.

"Listened, you have all come for the master trial, and you all are in a place called the 300th Boundry. I am Watcher Mountain and will be the overseer of your trial," said the old man in the sky.

"First of all, although it is named the first trial, it is only a test; determining your talent and adaptability. This determination has already begun the moment your feet land on this place. In the next five hours, we will open the second trial, by then, if you can stand then you will pass, but if you can't adapt to this environment, you will with no doubt fail." The old man looked at the vast field with indifference announced.

The two masters in the sky remain still, as if unbothered.

The people below realized their predicament and started using various ways to stand on their feet.

Meanwhile in the sky,

"Old Mountain, there are actually twenty-four freaks this year!" The younger man was in slight confusion saying, "That's ten more than last year!"

The worldly auras were ten times more massive than any other places in the world and to remain unbothered in this environment was really…

"What is happening these past few years?"

"There are few from the established force, but the majority of them are unknown," replied the old man, his expression slightly sifting,

"I just received some news. So, there are actually hundreds of them in Watcher King's designated boundary…"

"Hu-hundred!!" the younger man exclaimed in shock.

"That's not all, four top-tier descendants of the Seven Colored Firmament also seem to be there." The old man declared.

"..."

Silence fell upon the sky.

The people panicked after hearing the announcement, they became frantic, trying their hardest to themselves or their comrades who had fallen unconscious.

"Close your eyes and meditate, you may feel better," said White casually.

In front was Young Ju doing as she was told. She sat with her legs crossed and eyes closed.

White didn't plan on interfering but the little girl Airi said otherwise. So, he taught the girl some things that could reduce the effect on the body. But he didn't expect it would attract some attention.

"Fellow friend."

Suddenly, a voice resounded from behind White, which made him turn with raised eyes.

Unknowingly a person had appeared behind him.

The person had golden hair, clear eyes, and clear skin that would make any woman jealous, he had an amiable expression with a slight smile looking at him.

White looks at the person who is well-dressed in simple robes.

Airi beside him also gazed at him curiously.

"Friend, may I inquire if you are from a prominent household?" the stranger asks looking at the ragged robes of the two.

"Prominent households?" replied Airi in confusion, she never heard this term before.

"Who are you?" White asked.

The stranger seems to be in thought but upon hearing his question he smiles embarrassingly, saying, "Oh, allow me to apologize for the late introduction. My name is Frez, I came from the United Star Province in the Southern Mainland."

'United Star Province, Southern Mainland…' White contemplated whether he had heard these names or not.

"Friend are you not from any prominent households?" seeing the girl beside him confused, he knew his initial judgment was right.

"We don't know anything about a prominent household, we came from a village some thousand kilometers from here," White replied, his eyes shining with some interest.

"No way! You are from this desolate continent! But why aren't you affected by this environment?" Frez, looking at them confusingly said.

One has to know that, this was an environment even people from the mainland couldn't adapt to immediately and only some members of prominent households with immense talents have immunity against it, much less a person from this desolate continent.

Desolate continents?

"Friend Frez, what do you mean by this desolate continent? Are there others?" It was now White turn to call him 'friend'.

Upon confirming their origin, Frez was slightly disappointed and lost his interest, but he still answered.

"You see my friend, the world isn't as small as you all think. We came from the mainland and are currently on one of the numerous continents that exist far on the outskirts of the mainland. These continents, as the name suggests are desolate and there was nothing compared to the mainland; it was also the reason for the named desolate continents."

"But still, all the younger generations taking the master trial need to come here for the master trial every year because The Boundaries was situated in these continents." He sighed at the vastness, and added,

"Also, because of the numerous desolate continents, people from the mainland called it all together, the Desolate Plane."

White raised his eyebrows hearing him, Airi on the other hand had her mouth wide open; enough to fit a whole egg.

One of the many desolate continents?

Desolate Plane?

Airi's head became a mess. Any bumpkin who heard that would also be in a mess, fortunately, although White is also one, he was a different kind.

"Friend, farewell, let's meet again in the second trial."

Before White could ask any more questions Frez, sensing an opportunity, bidded farewell and went to the wench he came from.

"Big Brother, is what that guy said true?" Airi couldn't help but ask; unsure.

"Probably, he had no reason to lie," said White looking at the back of Frez.

Frez didn't go far.

He approached a place that was less crowded with miserable people, toward a person sitting on the ground.

That person's whole body was cloaked, making one unable to distinguish the appearance.

"So?" an elegant and pleasant voice resounded under the hood, from the sound of the beautiful voice she was a female.

"Sister, my guess was true, he and that girl are both ordinary people from the Desolate Plane," said Frez, his voice containing some level of satisfaction.

"Those who could withstand the aura of The Boundaries on their first time here are no ordinary, especially one with no background," she said lightly,

"..."

"What's his name?"

"Umm, I didn't ask." Frez had an embarrassed expression, he couldn't help but curse at himself.

The girl inside the cloak didn't say anything, both became silent except for the noisy masses.

Time continued to pass and the time limit was approaching.

Many people had woken up; much more than half of the several thousand and some still continuing to awake. They also started adapting to the new environment but it seemed time wouldn't wait for all of them.

"Where is White?" Young Ju who could walk normally now, asked.

Airi, on the other hand, was freaking out, her small head turned left and right to look for him, "I don't know… Ju, B-Big Brother is gone! What do I do…"

Young Ju, seeing her, knew what was coming. She hurriedly said,

"Airi, calm down, he is definitely not lost, he must have gone somewhere and I think he will be back in no time. So, we should wait for him ok?"

Hearing her words, Airi cooled a little, but she was still worried.

"Let's help the villagers who just awakened," said Young Ju pulling Airi with her.

If she didn't, she knew this girl would definitely do something crazy, she had seen enough since she was her friend.

The majority of the villagers they came with were still unconscious, some fit boys such as Leiju were not doing badly.

Ru and Luu were also suffering but they were manageable.

They were suffering before to noticed anything that happened previously, and upon seeing Airi and Young Ju, they were shocked. They had suffered enough to want to go back home, yet these two were fine.

"You two! Y-you are not affected?" Ask Lu weakly,

Ruu, Lenju, and the other people awake looked at them in surprise.

"We were at first but not like you guys, it was manageable," Young Ju lied. She knew White and Airi weren't affected but she didn't want to talk now so she lied.

"Lu, do you need any help?" asks Airi

"We will be alright, but help the people who recently woke up." shaking her head Lu replied.

Ruu, on the other hand, didn't say anything, she frowned slightly as she glanced at the two, and thought, 'Am I inferior to them..'

Nodding, the two girls went to the others.

What they failed to notice was that the village chief son was seated nearby and was looking at them with a peculiar expression.
