Sometime later.
Ruthless was what everyone would describe her action, but people like White would only describe it as necessary.
Having finished absorbing the primal seeds, Aizu looks at the kneeling group on the blood-stained ground with complex emotions. She turned to White, who was with the golden-haired girl and seemingly remained undisturbed by the scene. In her thought, these two people were of the same species; she didn't know where they originated to possess such ruthlessness at their age.
"Yellow-head, which family are you from?" she turned to Frez and asked.
"Ah… I can't say or she may punish me." Scratching his head, Frez replied in slight fear.
Aizu didn't insist on the question and only looked at him in pity, sighing, she went toward White.
"What did you give them." White curiously looked at the bunch of people who were showing a miserable expression after drinking something given by the gold-haired girl.
"Poison." the golden-haired girl responded, turning the people's faces blue upon hearing. She continued, "If they didn't take the cure within ten days they would die extremely painfully."
White had an expression of realization and nodded. They do need something to control these people, and currently, this is a very effective method.
"We will set out now, and it will take some time to reach that place." She said turning to White, before signaling the people who had just fallen into slavery, as she slowly headed out.
White looked at the sky that was nearing evening and followed suit along with Aizu and Frez behind him.
"White here," Aizu handed over a black sword belonging to the slit-eyes swordsman White had killed. "It's a magical one. That person was too stupid, he didn't even use its power."
"You can't blame the guy, he really didn't expect to get killed then and there." Frez glancing at the unassuming figure of White, saying. "He did deserve it though."
The additional people didn't know what they were talking about but looking at the white-haired youth with the blood-stained robes, who was the centre of the two' speech, they knew he wasn't as ordinary as he appeared. Before when they were fighting, he was still absorbing the fifteen primal seeds but not even fifteen minutes had passed and he had already finished absorbing them!
Not to mention his relationship with the golden-haired girl; the demon in their eyes, seems to treat him like a friend, even different from the other two in their original group.
White looked at the sword and nodded, it was a good sword so, he decided to keep it. He wrapped it with a piece of clothes and hung it on his back. Now, people who don't know any better would think that he was a sword carrier slave of the group with his sickly appearance and his torn robes.
The golden-haired girl glanced at him sideways and couldn't help but look at him properly. She didn't care about his appearance, but it would be very wrong if she said she didn't care or could remain indifferent toward this mysterious youth.
Different from any youth her age, this person was the most abnormal she had met.
Looking at him, she didn't feel like she was looking at a youth her age but one of the old monsters from her family, and for some reason, there was a sense of familiarity between them.
Although curious, she didn't ask him about his background knowing he possessed a top-tier Blessed bloodline, and once he awakened, she should be able to recognize it.
Catching a glimpse of the beautiful girl's eyes glancing at him, he looks at her with a questioning look. "Anything you wanna ask me?"
"Yes, which Blessed family do you belong to?" since he had taken the initiative, she curiously asked.
"Family…" White confusedly looked at her, the family she asked him about wasn't the ordinary family, but rather the Blessed Family which he didn't know anything about. He was thinking of asking Aizu later.
Shooking his head he replied, "I was raised in the Desolate Plane and have no idea of such."
The golden-haired girl didn't doubt his words and nodded. "Although you are from there, you may not have been originally born there. You should have a top-tier Blessed bloodline in you, which is why you could control primal energy like me. But in the Desolate Plane, people may awaken their Blessing upon becoming a master but never have a Blessed bloodline."
As she said this, many of the people in the back heard it and couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
Greenblade, Greenleaf, and Ironblood look at each other in shock.
Top-tier Blessed Bloodline?
Can control primal energy?
Just like Aizu at first, disbelief filled their eyes. Blessed bloodline was a huge deal even from the land they came from. Having a Blessed bloodline means having a Blessing in them, and it was set in stone that they would become the most powerful of masters; the Blessed master!
But they also heard something they couldn't ignore no matter what.
'Both of them could control the primal energy? But only people having a top-tier Blessed bloodline could do that; meaning both of them had the top-tier Blessed bloodline!' The three and some others thought in unison.
At this moment, they suddenly realize something was off in the place where they fought with the golden-haired girl before.
At the place, the ground had been cracked and some carter had been created.
The winds were in disarray there and dust also flew at that time.
Most importantly, the White hair haired youth had been recuperating from an injury then.
Now, everything was starting to make sense, and deeply retreated their actions there. And to make things worse, the golden-haired girl had been playing with them before!
Frez and Aizu seem to already guessed it but hearing from the golden-haired girl, they looked at the visage of White with curiosity and awe.
"What exactly is a Blessing?" White didn't care about the secrecy of the matter nor did the golden-haired girl seem to.
The golden-haired girl looked at the person who had no clue about the most important aspect of oneself, this also further made her convinced that he was raised in the Desolate Plane.
Taking a breath, she said, "Some say Blessing is a gift from the world, some believe it to be a trait of the soul or even pieces of gods, but in actuality, nobody knows because they come in all forms of things."
White listened closely, some of the slaves who were from the Desolate Plane had no idea just like him, so they listened with awe and wonder.
"For example, a sword, or an ability, or maybe even things like a tree or river, or elements such as fire, water, etc. It has no fixed properties and can take the form of anything. It is ranked according to the level of power; such as its destructiveness or in terms of healing, if it is related to the field. This is all that I know of," finishing, she looked at him.
Although the blessed bloodline explained many things about him, it still didn't explain why he had such great battle experience, instinct, and as well as his unusual level of calmness. If he had been trained by a great family since childhood, then she could've understood it but he shouldn't have received such privilege.
'So it's like that,' White has some idea at this point, he couldn't help but be fascinated by her explanation and this Blessing.
'I wonder what my Blessing will turn out…'
"Friend, it may be too late to say this now but, I hope friend didn't get offended by our first meeting," Frez walked up beside White.
White remembers their meeting very well, and he was talking about the time he secretly disregarded him, learning he was an ordinary person from the Desolate Plane. But White didn't think anything of it, if he was offended and held a grudge for something like that, then he wouldn't be him.
"Also, I didn't ask the friend's name at that time," Frez knew what he was calling from the girl with him, but didn't directly call him and was asking it from himself, as a show of respect.
"White. You can call me that," said White, he looked at this person, who the golden-haired girl treated him as if he was an air. He thought there must be something between them but he wasn't gonna inquire about their business. He turned to the golden-haired girl. "How shall I address you?"
She remained silent for a moment, before saying,
"Golden."
'Golden…' White repeated her name in his thoughts. But unbeknown to him, this was a name he would remember all his life.
All the people itch her name into their memory but wouldn't dare call her by it. Frez yet again, looked strangely at his sister and Aizu on the other hand felt silent upon hearing her name.
