Jade

The group had travelled for about three hours and the sky was turning dark as the night approached, but they continued and had reached the edge of a massive trench that extended far into the distance.

They were all shocked to see such a scene and wondered what would happen if they accidentally fell into it.

They all knew the answer of course, and it was as simple as death.

"White I sense a place with primal seeds." Aizu turned in a certain direction and said.

"Oh, Is it far?" White said following her look. She was looking in the direction of a twin mountain that existed in the eastern direction.

Greenblade and Greenleaf look at Aizu with some surprise, both thinking. 'She can sense the place with primal seeds?'

"No, it's near that twin mountain."

White contemplates and looks at Golden, saying, "We can go check it out, it shouldn't take too much time."

The golden-haired girl fell silent and seemed to be considering, "Are you sure? I don't want to waste time if possible," she curiously asked Aizu,

"I have a special method to sense it if it is near." 

At that moment Greenleaf stepped forward, saying,

"Miss, what she said is true. I have a magical one that would react to primal seeds if it senses it within a certain range." Greenleaf joined in to make a favourable impression as her life was in the girl's hands.

Next, she brought out a thing that looked like a compass, showing her.

This was a magical one from their clan that they used to navigate their way to primal seeds.

The others in the group were surprised; including the miserable Ironblood, who had been treated like trash by the entire group for his disgusting behaviour toward the golden-haired girl. But for some reason she had yet to punish him, seeming as if she didn't care.

"Why don't you tell me of this sooner?" she asks her with a look.

"Miss, we planned to, it's just that, I was waiting for a perfect timing but this girl beat me to it." Greenleaf tried to explain.

Aizu looked at the duo in disdain, the girl was too crafty, and she didn't like her one bit.

Golden gave White a look before nodding and moving toward the twin mountains.

It didn't take them long to reach the range of the twin mountains.

And, by the time they reached there, the sky was already dark and the only source of light was the faint desolate moonlight shining down from beyond the sky.

As they were walking through the rough lands, the footsteps of White and the cloaked Golden suddenly paused, looking at the area illuminated by a soft green colour light not far away.

"There are people there." she quietly said with her beautiful yet cold voice.

The others also stopped, and the atmosphere suddenly grew solemn.

At the next moment, they all drew their weapon and approached the area.

In the place where a group of primal seeds remained afloat, a group of three people were sitting cross-legs and absorbing the seeds through their tokens.

Of the three people, one was a girl with green hair and emerald-coloured eyes that matched them together and she also wore a beautiful robe of matching colour. The other two were both men with black attire and an emblem of an old mirror on their shoulders.

The surroundings had been peaceful but they suddenly became alert looking in front. 

Just now they felt a huge intimidating aura, and they were not wrong as a group of people had approached them.

The three stood up. "Brother what are we going to do?" one of the men with an old mirror emblem asks the slightly taller man beside him.

The other didn't respond immediately and looked at the incoming people. He first saw a cloaked figure at the front that caught his attention and a white-haired youth with one sword in his hands and one on his back.

As soon as he caught their figure in his eyes, he knew they weren't ordinary because of a very special trait he possessed.

"Miss Jade, what will you do? Since we are travelling together we will respect your opinion too." The man knew the reason for the group approach was the primal seeds and they had only two choices either to fight or give up this spot. This was how the trial worked; the strong had the right to take everything from the weak and they didn't have any right to complain about it.

The girl had also already seen the group as soon as they made an appearance.

"It is not an ordinary group; especially the leading cloaked figure, to fight for the remaining fifty or so primal seeds with them is not worth it." she squinted her beautiful eyes a little saying.

The two nodded in her response.

Looking at the three people who had moved aside from the group of primal seeds, Golden stopped.

"You are giving up the place?"

"The strong has the right to take everything. We had already absorbed enough, as for the remaining, Miss Group can have it." hearing the beautiful voice, the man instantly knew she was a girl.

Golden looked at the two emblems as certain thoughts seemed to come to her mind, "What are two Destiny Protectors doing here alone?"

The two men's bodies immediately taunted upon hearing the words of the cloaked figure. They were surprised as she instantly recognised them and this also further shows that their assumptions were right and that she wasn't an ordinary person.

"Um, Miss, the two of us got separated from the group after facing off against a powerful group, now we are searching for the princess group to regroup with them." The two men took a step further back and were getting slightly scared since their identities were exposed. It would be their end if she was an enemy. 

"I know your princess so relax, I wouldn't do anything to you," Golden said seeing their cautiousness.

Her statement made the two men sigh with relief, but the next words made them lose the colour of their faces, "If you silently agreed to follow my group that is."

"Follow Miss Group?!" Both were shocked and their relief vanished on the spot. "Miss, we have to be on our way to find the princess group, I'm afraid we can't stick with your group." The taller man said as both started to take larger steps backwards.

They knew she shouldn't have any good intentions when she said about following her group. In this trial, there was only one purpose for recruiting, and that was to fight! Both were at the mid-level Unity and weren't afraid of battles now, but they didn't want to fight or get involved with someone who claimed to know their princess and was mysterious; as nothing good will would come out of it.

"That wasn't a choice given to you." Golden coldly said, she glanced at the emerald-eyed girl before giving White a look and started walking toward the two.

The two men finally couldn't endure and fled into the distance and Golden after them.

White witnessed the scene that escalated too fast and understood the meaning behind the last look she gave him.

He turned to the girl with emerald eyes and said, "I'm White,"

"Nice to meet you Friend, I'm Jade." The girl named Jade replied immediately and glazing at the direction the three disappeared, she asked, "Is she going to kill them?"

"I don't think so, she seems to have a use for them," White saw two daggers with a similar colour to her robe on her waist and it was difficult to distinguish them, "You are the girl from the first trial."

White memory suddenly clicked, he remember her at the first trial as one of the conspicuous people along with the slit-eyes swordsmen and some others.

"I remember you too, and my name is not girl, it's Jade." She indifferently said, glazing at his average yet mysterious visage.

White knew this person wasn't ordinary, she didn't seem intimidated seeing the group or didn't seem to care about the other two. Golden's eyes gesture only told him to watch the girl and nothing else so, he stayed put as he didn't want to get into a fight with another person whose power was unknown.

"Oh! I also remember the girl you were with. The last time I saw her she seemed to have a fight with her group and stayed back at the place where the second trial began, there was also another girl with her." she seemed to remember certain things and spoke.

'A girl with me? Airi!' White immediately knew who she was talking about. 'Stayed back…'

"She stayed back?" White asked again, he thought that the possibility of that happening with that girl was very high.

Jade nodded confirming his question, "But, I don't know what happened after I left; she may still be there or may have left." she added.

"White, is that one of the friends you came with?" Aizu asked, she remembered him mentioning that he joined the trial together with some people from the same place.

"I guess," White answered a little differently as though his mind was elsewhere.

'That girl… isn't becoming a master important?' By now there was nothing he could do, as there wasn't enough time nor does he know the way…

"Well, guess they are gonna have to try their luck next year." someone from behind casually said.

'Next year?' White looks at the source of the voice. It was the girl with strips of green hair cascading down her beautiful figure. Greenleaf.

"They can take the trial again next year?" he asked.

Greenleaf knowing she had attracted his attention, slowly replied; "Yes, as long as they are below eighteen years old and have resources."

Her words caught White attention now, saying, "Greenleaf right? Let's hear everything you know."

Hearing his words she smiled happily, which was beautiful enough to entranced anyone. Then she approached him and started to explain.

Greenblade, Iironblood and the other only watch. They could only curse themselves for not having the ability to be with the friend of their master.

'I should have informed him of this before,' though Aizu, she really didn't like seeing the girl acting cute and useful in front of White.

'He has me and you don't need to teach him anything.' She begrudgingly thought and could only blame herself for being late.
