White looks at the desperate person who proclaims himself to be his friend from the Moss village. He didn't think the man was lying about coming from the Moss village but as for about being friends with him, that was utterly impossible.
"We may be from the same village but except for some people, I don't remember anyone." White calmly declared and It was the truth.
Although he was in the village for fifteen years or so, he didn't put in any effort to know the people there or befriend them, and this was not because he was shy or they all jeered or made fun of him, but just because he didn't care enough.
The people he still remembered were few and due to circumstances.
"White! You still dared to say that even now?!" The man yelled angrily; overcoming his current reasoning and fear. He seethed, saying, "See– when I get out of here, I'll tell Little Chief everything about how you tried to get me killed and let him punish you. At that time, even that little girl wouldn't be able to save you!"
With that, he turned to the murderous girl and kneeled pleadingly, "Great Lady, please spare me, I didn't tell any lie and I truly know him, but for our little grievance of the past he is trying to get me killed using you. Please don't fall into his trick Great Lady!"
"And if you let me join your group, I promise I can provide more usefulness than that useless bump."
Everyone watching the scene in those short moments was flabbergasted and caught the slight gist of the situation. It seem he wasn't a friend of White but only knew of him but didn't know everything. This made them slightly disappointed in the scene and went back to trying hard to increase their ever-slowing speed in absorption.
Golden also stopped observing the interesting event and gave Aizu a look before going back to doing the same as the other.
"Usedless bump…" Aizu felt a slight feeling of shame bringing such waste in front of everyone and even defaming White on top of that.
"Who did you just call that to?!" unconsciously, her right leg lifted and kicked at the man's abdomen due to the anger that emerged within her.
Boom!
The man's body flew in the distance, his face still sighting confusion that turned into that of shock and pain. Blood sprayed from his mouth, his body fell into the distance while grimacing, and he fell unconscious right after.
Aizu's strength couldn't be underestimated at this point, after reaching High-level Unity. Although she acted in a feat of anger, just that little strength she exerted on her leg was enough to kill anyone in the Low-level Unity.
But she didn't want to kill the person so as soon as she snapped out of her state, she freaked out and tried to explain, but seeing White untouched by the incident, she slightly felt relief and went to check on the person's condition.
"Still alive..." She sighed in relief. Although this person with his sharp tongue was asking to be killed, in the end, no one wanted to kill him even though White seemed to not care at all. So, she just tied his body to a tree and returned.
White saw how the man was handled and a slight smile formed on his face. He truly didn't care what happened to such a figure he didn't even know of but he also wasn't going to deliberately order them to kill him, since he survived today, then that was his luck and fate.
"White do you know him." Aizu gently asked.
"Not an idea, I have no time to remember every person that appeared in front of me or knows me."
Aizu slightly absentminded nodded and seated beside him, she thought back to what he said and fell silent.
White didn't think about anything anymore as only half a day was left before the trial ended, so he focused and concentrated on reaching 99% Unity, with his absorption speed the fastest in the group.
…
Somewhere far away a group of people with red hair and luxurious battle attire were traveling in a certain direction.
The group consists of three females and five males possessing a great aura that could disperse the clouds with their mere glazes and shake the lands with a wave of their hand.
Before long, they had reached a place with the familiar massive ethereal wall that extended throughout heaven and earth; not leaving even a gap opened.
They all stopped and marveled at the wonder of the heavens without any words with pure flavor. After a moment, they snapped out of their revere and started heading for the ethereal wall.
But at that time, a mighty pressure descended from the skies that forcefully made them stop in their tracks and shock them to the core.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud…
One by one, all of them were forced to kneel from the unknown pressure. Their four limbs were pressed to the ground; somewhat deforming the land, and their head were made to bow; making them unable to even lift their head to check their surrounding.
"L–Leader, what is this?" the youngest girl in the group with a red ponytail and an elegant figure asked the man at the frontmost of the group in trepidation and fear.
The other's eyes turned serious but seemed to come to some sort of realization and kept silent, their head difficult to raise.
The one which the young girl called leader was a man who seemed to be in his late thirties with a slim build and had the visage of a handsome mature man, he also gave off a strange aura that made other people apprehensive of him.
But now, the man was also in the same situation as the others; his head stayed bowed in respect and fear.
None of them dared to take their time to answer the young girl's confusion and uncertainty.
"Why are all of you here?" At that time, a beautiful feminine voice descended from the sky.
Up above, without anyone's notice, a figure had appeared with black thin robes and a shawl dapping down from the top of her head. The figure was tall and beautiful to look at, she also had slim and graceful curves that would draw the attention of anyone along with her form-fitting elegant dress, she was stunning, but for some reason, her face was blurry and couldn't be seen properly.
Right now, she was holding onto an ancient black token that gave off the pressure that made them kneel.
"Great one, we are from–" the leader tried to respond but was cut off.
"I know where you are from. But what I am asking now is why you are here?"
The leader felt silent and didn't respond for some time, but eventually, he said, "We received a message that some member of our family is in a dangerous situation, so… "
"So you come to secretly assist your faction?" the woman in the sky intervened and finished his obvious lies, continuing intentionally, "Don't you know that intervening during the trial is forbidden and is punishable by death?
"We– are aware, but we– " the leader tried to explain but was interrupted again.
"I don't care, the current Lord of The Boundary doesn't doesn't want anyone near here again, so, before I change my mind and kill all of you, scram!"
As soon as she said her last words, the token in her hands emitted a bazaar force that slammed into the bodies of the people and sent them flying forcefully into the distance.
The girl looked at their miserable figures and snorted, she knew why they were there and couldn't be bothered to listen to any of their lies.
Putting the old token away, she glazed at the ethereal wall and disappeared from the place.
'Empress.'
…
Far in the distance, the people who had been tossed away like useless trash all had a pained and serious expression as they sprawled on the ground.
They couldn't move their body as soon as that strange force touched them.
"Who was that?" the girl with the ponytail asked.
The leader remained silent in thought and a man from the group hardly glanced at her saying, "It must be someone under the current Lord of The Boundary."
The girl with the ponytail fell silent upon hearing.
The Lord of The Boundary was an extreme figure of the world that was stationed on the Other Side, they were the last line of defense and guarded The Boundaries both from the inside and the outside. Their names resounded like explosions of thunders in everyone's ears in the world upon their emergences from the Other Side.
In this world, there were numerous Lords of The Boundaries, their individual power was unmatched and enough to shake the world. They were honored and respected throughout the whole world for the strength and title they held. So, when this unknown group heard the Lord of The Boundary mentioned they knew they wouldn't be able to complete the mission they were given.
"Leader does this mean we have to abandon the southern border and look for it in the other border?" one of the men lying unmoving asked.
"Although they are far, if we request help we could go there as soon as possible."
The mature and handsome leader thought for some time, saying, "No, numerous peoples have already been dispatched for the others parts, we can't go there."
"But, that man told us we can't return without bringing one of the persons…" the other elegant girl on the ground next to the girl in a ponytail reminded and voiced.
"Who said we are returning there?" the leader unmovingly said.
"But we can't enter the southern border…" the others voice out their concern.
At that, something clicked in the heads of the people as they meaningfully gave glances at the leader after coming to understand a plan that was worth trying.
