I'll teach you what you need to know," she said, her features shifting until she looked like a mirror image of the stunned Wu Ling. "As long as you follow my arrangements and learn my techniques, it isn't impossible for you to reunite with Meifeng..." 

"But you should consider Young Lord Liang carefully," the Hall Master added. "His affection for you is genuine. Perhaps, one day, you'll even feel the same for him..."

<p>In the days that had passed since Wu Ling and his companions left Bufa City, the group worked to adjust to their new circumstances following their trip to the dangerous city. Wu Ling had originally intended for the visit to be a useful stopover to sell off some of their gains and purchase new supplies to continue their journey. Instead, almost every member of their small group had experienced noteworthy changes. </p>

<p>Though Wu Ling quickly shed his guise as 'Sister Hua Qianhu', Su Xiang and Yu Jinqi continued to lead the team for the next several days. With so many recent breakthroughs, the group's current leaders felt that it was best to head directly to Jade Wind Peak and test themselves against the spirit beasts that gathered at the foot of the mountain. </p>
