I am the best of all

"Unfortunate. From your looks, I knew you don't have the temptation of power… but what if we share?"

I faced him again, still unconvinced.

"You get your strength that no man will ever be eligible, and I will have my chance to explore again. Anyway, your imagination is powerful enough,"

"What the heck is this imagination, then? Was is so important that you may not have any ideas?" I taunted him as I approached him.

"I am the soul of deception. I copy anything that anyone thinks, I can transform, I can copy skills, I am the master of disguise, and I can form anything that you want, or be a weapon of anything you imagine. I just need your deepest thoughts, and I can fulfil your wish,"

My eyes lit up, thinking of the outstanding power that I will receive. I can form anything… that was amazing! But what happened if I received this?

No way! My friends are in danger! Think, and I will be the best!

"Then let's sign the contract," I told him confidently, I touched his hand, and-

BOOM! A powerful sensation made me about to burst. I was returned to my world, and it was so painful that my veins were about to burst.

"Aargh!" I screamed as loud as I can as a powerful burst of energy spread across the Earth, shaking it with earthquakes. A green pillar of light cut through the ominous sky, I tried my best to keep myself in shape.

The serpent jolted wildly, shocked of the effect, as my friends stared at the pillar with such confusion. Was that me? Probably that was what they thought.

There, was me covered in an aura of deception, I was staring at the monster. A green sword which was so light like a feather was in my hands. I grinned as the serpent lounged to attack. I took my first strike.

I swung the 'sword' I was holding, and it smoothly cut through the thick scales of the serpent, like soft beef. Fresh blood poured down, as the monster shrieked in terror, roared as it plunged down the murky waters.

I was not finished. I forced my entire body to be a supersonic arrow, and struck the falling serpent like a bullet. BOOM! The recoil was strong enough to plop the serpent into the water, a large impact was formed. I had to cross the waters with dangerous hovering as I landed beside my friends. They were just very amazed.

"Remember, I also have limited stamina from now. I will become weaker if hit by a powerful object. But not the stamina that you will expect, my friend. I will train with you so my powers are effective of holding all attacks, and to heal and recharge faster as you fight," said Deception in my thoughts.

I just nodded lightly as a response. So it means not unlimited 'power' yet. I glanced to the skies, to see something smoking… what was that?!

A falling bird… no, it was a plane! A cargo plane with half of its engines were burning, falling towards the ground close to us. It was coming fast, must I act?

I stared at my friends, and they just nodded lazily.

Do it!

I ran across the water with speed, as I took a leap up and grabbed on the falling plane. The winds were raging, as I muttered some words of encouragement.

"You can transform anything I imagine, right?" I thought as I could hear Deception's 'yes'. A rope went out of my hands, wrapping the tail fin. I forced the entire energy to swing the fin, sending it to the right, forcing it to land by our ground.

With my hands in the controls, I steered the plane to a soft landing. Adam and Akiff dodged as the plane went skidding along the ground. I would have to check the men inside.

It was long enough until the plane come to a complete stop. I leaped off, and barged in the door with my sword. What unfolded before my eyes was shocking!

My two friends, Salahuddin and Shyfil, were standing there proudly. Amongst them were boxes full of supplies and other equipment.

"We meet again," Shyfil said as we shook hands. I then took a look at the interior, and it was oddly futuristic. Salahuddin, who have noticed my bewildered look, approached me and smirked.

"We stole it, from a country called Nepal. We have some important pictures inside," he said as I went into the control room. It was very complex and I really did not like such complicated stuff.

Shyfil pulled out his phone and let me scroll through his pictures. In one of them, a tall tower was standing right in the middle of the skyscrapers which looked small to it.

"I can't believe this is Nepal which is close to the Everest," Akiff muttered.

"It was surely terrifying, Reishan. I have no idea how did the world did not notice this," Shyfil commented. My expression suddenly changed. Wait… what flag was on the commander's chest when we meet? I really have a great memory, and it surely like a flag of…

"Wait, Reishan, what is that opening?" asked Akiff as he pointed down the cockpit. I glanced down, there a neat hole was there, tempting us to go to it.

Is that a cave? I might not want to go to dark places, but somehow an unknown aura is tempting us to go in.

"Get in. I smell fortune," muttered the soul in my mind.

"This must be one of your deceiving tricks, right?" my thoughts fought back.

"No, I'm serious. I can detect an unimaginable aura from that cave - I mean, good aura that might be beneficial for all of us," Deception defended himself. I huffed a bit as I stood up.

"We're going through it," I declared as my friends just nodded. We were then busy repacking our supplies, thanks to the cargo in the crashed plane. We also brought torchlights to explore the dark. I also refilled my energy by eating what was available, sharing the McDonalds.

"Let's move!" I said as we leaped off the plane, and into the unknown.

It was a dark one, so we take turns turning on the torch, to conserve on our batteries. The cave was wide enough for two people to pass through, and it was strangely neat and straight. No hard obstacles as expected, though. Whatever fortune that Deception has smelled out, I hope it might me good, or else…
