The Inevitable

The restaurant decor was just as lavish as the bridal boutique. Soft golden lighting casted warm glow over the marble floors. Flowers adorned the tables amidst the scent of expensive wine and spices. My mother and Don’s mother sat beside each other with Tee quickly taking the seat beside mum and leaving me with no choice but to sit on the one beside Don. Their excitement filled the space. Tee was beaming as she flipped through a digital portfolio the event planner had sent.

"So," my mother said, taking a sip of her wine. "We have narrowed it down to three possible venues." She said.

Don’s mother nodded. "They’re all excellent choices, but we want both of you to decide together."
