Chapter 6 Bury her alive

He responded cruelly, winning back the window glass up, completely ignoring my existence. I frowned, knocking on the car window several times. I won't give up! Never!

"Would you just stop," Collins yelled, frustrated that I wasn't going away. In annoyance, he wined down the window, furrowing his brows. " You are attracting attention, stop this or you'll get us all killed!"

"Yes, let us all die!" I spat, still forcing the door open. It was either I get in and leave alive or we all die. Besides, he was the one who brought it upon himself. Who asked him to be chased by serial killers and involve me?

As I kept on struggling with the car handle, the glass door behind me opened with a loud bang. Its noise diverted my attention as I stared at it, wondering who might be the crazy person who doesn't know how to open a door properly.

Before I knew it, two hefty men stepped out, creating space for the real boss. I blinked, trying to recall where I had seen this face before.

Wasn't he a shareholder at Rodriguez Group? Why was he here and more so, in only towels?

My brain was completely blank.

'Why was he here?' I didn't quite understand what was going on, as I didn't remember asking him to meet up with me in any way.

Awkwardly, I took my eyes down to his towel and saw something bulging out between his legs. I gulped in, my face turning red. I cringed at the sight, and then returned my gaze to the car, covering my eyes, embarrassed for him.

"Where do you think you are going? Did you assume you could punch me, and go scot-free?"

I flinched at his words and shifted my gaze to him. I realized the deep purple fist-sized mark on his right eye.

"Be obedient and come back to the room. Didn't you want my favor? I can help you be the winner tomorrow."

Winner tomorrow?

'What was all this about?' Somehow things didn't seem fathomable to me. I didn't want to think twice and ran to the other door where he was seated.

I knocked on the door, my legs weakening as he instructed his two boys to come after me.

As they approached me, I became scared, and banged on the door multiple times. My hands clasped together in a pleading manner. Whoever they were or whatever plan they had was not what she signed up for.

Coldly, he pulled down the window from the inside, smirking at me and then looking at the men who were walking at their pace.

"You have your own problem to settle, how nice. This time around, I didn't bring those guys." I seethe in anger, knowing he was only there to mock me and nothing else.

"You will pay for this…"

"I will pay for nothing!" I balled my fist at how ruthless this man was. And as soon as I was to continue, I felt a hand on my shoulders, gripping tightly to my collarbone.

I winced in pain, as the clutches only got tighter with every second.

"Be obedient, Big boss spent a lot of money to have you. It ain't right to run off after pocketing the money." I cringed as he whispered into my ears, nibbling on my earbuds.

I grasped onto his right arm, twisting it to his back and kicking him to his knees. I heard his hiss, and felt satisfied that he was feeling pain.

I threw off his arms to the air, and dusted any ugly thing from my shoulders. I returned to the car door, knocking again.

"You have company Miss…" He retorted, pointing to the parking lot full of men, with a stick clutched behind their back. I gazed at the one on the ground, slowly regaining his strength. I knew that there was no way I could fight off all these bad guys all alone.

In defeat, I looked at Frank, the person who started all this, about to negotiate with him when I heard him speak.

"Get in," He waved his hands, pointing at the opened door. Immediately I ran to the door, entering in and slamming the door shut. I exhaled loudly, hitting my chest to calm down.

I fell on the chair, as the car swiftly reversed and drove off at ultimate speed. I tightened myself, clenching to the seatbelt and wearing it immediately. When I did, I sighed, gulping in.

Maybe due to my reaction, he noticed I was a bit thirsty.

"Collins, give her water…" I heard his instruction and Collins glanced at me, handing over to me a bottle of water.

My lips twitched, gazing at the water bottle. It was kind of them to give me water after putting my life at great danger.

'Fake hospitality!' I scoffed, as I rejected their water just in case they poisoned it. From now, no collecting of things from strangers, Melissa taught me well!

Collins tossed the bottle rudely beside me and continued driving. I took the bottle up from the chair and returned it back to him.

"Here you go, I am not thirsty." I said, standing beside him and going back to my seat. There was unexplainable silence in the car, I wished it would stop.

Cutting the silence, I heard him speak,

"I was right, you were a slut after all." He sneered, redirecting his attention to his tablet. Slowly, he closed down his tablet, drawing nearer to me until there was no escape route for me.

I hitched under the closeness of our body, and in terror, I felt his cold finger falling on my jaw.

"How much do you collect for a night? I really want to taste you and see if you were worth the whole chase." He grinned, caressing my jaw like it was some freshly found gem.

I threw his fingers off, and humphed.

What sort of teasing technique was that? Did he know how badly I am fidgeting just knowing that I escaped narrowly from being slept with?

"You've succeeded in drawing my attention now, Miss. What do you want from me exactly?" He said, clutching to my jaw harshly. "You are in my territory now and if you don't comply with me, I will make you regret ever knowing me!"

"Sadly, I regret ever meeting you. Can't you be nice, at least start from an introduction. Hi, my name is....rather than launching an attack at me? I muttered.

"Whoa, really?" Sarcasm was written in both his voice and his looks. He let go of me, and played along. "You must be kidding, right?" He chuckled, his indifference choking me up.

"Just drop me off at this address." I responded to his sarcasm with a roll of my eyes, and pointed at the map on the screen of the car. If I was reborn, then there was one person I needed to see to confirm everything.

That person was Jeraldine.

The tension in the car escalated, as he narrowed his eyes, showing he wasn't happy that I was commanding him. I didn't care at all. All I wanted was to be free from this living nightmare next to me.

"Who do you think you are to command me like this? Is it because I am too soft on you?"

I turned to him, irritated, and laughed, pointing furiously.

"Soft on me? You literally said you wanted to bury me alive!"
