Soul Space

Chapter 141 Soul Space

Aleshia urgently ran to the door and opened it. She expected to see an empty blue-white sky; instead, she was greeted by a vast expanse of land—much more ground than sky than she had previously seen.

In confusion, she exclaimed, "Huh?" Looking left and right, she observed the familiar woods and shrubs surrounding her. Remembering her meeting with Dahdin and the events that followed, her mind couldn't help but conjure an unfortunate ending. Aleshia briefly looked away but hesitantly returned her gaze, searching for a way into Kailey's soul space.

Aleshia could only guess Dahdin's fate, but she reminded herself of her current goal and pushed all thoughts of him to the back of her mind. As she walked deeper into the forest, she wandered until a path slowly began to reveal itself. Without realizing it, she found herself walking along that path.

Aleshia stumbled upon small snapshots of past events shown through the leaves. Intrigued, she paused her walk to understand this phenomenon. However, as more leaves began to display these past events, she noticed scenes that did not match her memories.

As Aleshia continued to walk, watching the leaves, the visions they contained became increasingly unsettling. Initially, the scenes varied only slightly from her memories, but eventually, they began to distort entirely, depicting events that Aleshia remembered differently. Eventually, entirely new images emerged that bore no resemblance to her past experiences. She saw scenes of battles, with people fighting against the green wolf. There were images of humans discovering her secret and fearing her for harboring and consorting with a demon, even attacking her as a result.

Aleshia couldn't bear to look at the silent images surrounding her anymore. They depicted her worries: a fear of being discovered and of persecution. Aleshia desperately wished to avoid such outcomes, but her anxieties continued to torment her mind. Overwhelmed by the picture in the leaves, she felt unable to confront them directly. Instead, she hurried down the path, rushing past the scenery while focusing on the ground, deliberately avoiding the leaves.

As she walked, it felt as though she was avoiding her fears, unable to confront the haunting visions around her. Finally, Aleshia arrived at a large rock adorned with numerous etchings and talismans.

Strangely feeling at ease in the familiar surroundings, Aleshia almost let her body drop to the ground. However, she forced herself to stay upright, knowing she shouldn't rest until she returned with the knowledge.
