Chapter 36: Revelations

Having her sister on the opposing front, certainly made the Matriarch feel betrayed and unhappy, but that was all.

The fact that her son's opportunity was being taken from his hands, that was what made the Matriarch feel the need of killing everyone on the opposing side, even her own sister.

It was precisely for that reason, that she couldn't allow the Sect Master to lose momentum at the moment, so she immediately made a move herself.

Out of everyone's expectations, a purple hue started slowly spreading with the Matriarch at the centre, and slowly making its way towards the Elder's Council.

Of course, the main target was F1 and then the rest of the Elder's Council. It was clear that the Matriarch thought that her own and the Sect Master Domain could fight against the Grand Emperor's.

Totally different from what the whole Yin-Yang Prairie Sect, and everyone else expected, the Matriarch wasn't just an early, or a 6th level Yin Queen Realm powerhouse, but a quasi 8th level one.

Just like the Sect Master, the Matriarch had already started to create her domain, and she seemed a bit more proficient than the Sect Master as well.

Her movement caught the Grand Emperor by surprise, as who was now facing 3 experts that could actually give him a run for his money.

Of course, the Matriarch's movement wasn't enough to push the Grand Emperor back, or to actually exert pressure on the Elder's Council.

But that was until the Ancestor got involved as well. Even though the woman was a bit reluctant at the moment, knowing that the rest were watching as well, she would still help them out.

Even if two brothers were fighting to the death, the moment that a stranger appeared in their territory they would join hands and kill him.

The most important part though, was that with the Matriarch's movement the upper echelon of the Sect seemed to be of the same mind.

This was a scary thing to happen, because according to the rules of old, the moment that both the Matriarch and the Sect Master were of same mind, they had the power to overrule the Sect.

This was a rule upon foundation left behind from the very first founders of the Sect, something that no one dared to oppose.

Even the Grand Emperor couldn't help but feel that he had lost at this moment, but it was the Vice Sect Master who wanted to give it one last push.

"Hhehehehhe~!

Everything seems like it has been decided, but your Excellency the Sect Master wants that disciple for yourself right!?"

While most of the Elders had thought that it might be the case, and even the Sect Master didn't refute that statement, the face of the Matriarch turned ugly.

This was also the reason why she had first thought of not involving this bastard in the mess, as he wouldn't just do something it didn't benefit him.

While the Matriarch was thinking like that though, she couldn't help but falter for a moment, and it was at that moment that the Vice Sect Master made a move.

Just like a cobra snake attacking all of a sudden, the Vice Sect Master's aura soared for a moment, as a grey spike appeared to have pierced through the Sect Master's stomach.

"This…"

The whole crowd was left speechless at that moment, not knowing what to think, or what to make of it.

After all, no one seemed to understand how the Vice Sect Master who was supposed to be but a 4th level Yang King Realm expert solidified a domain in a moment and then injured the Sect Master.

Of course, knowing that he wouldn't have a good ending the Vice Sect Master immediately brought out a talisman and then ripped it in two, as he disappeared from everyone's sight.

Just a voice lingered behind,

"Do you think you won!?

This is just interest for disrupting my plans, soon I will return and make you all regret it!"

"Bastaaaarrrdddddd~!"

The Sect Master could only scream to the top of his lungs, as it was impossible for himself or for anyone else on that matter to catch that bastard.

What he had just used was a teleportation Talisman, something that people couldn't even buy with rare materials as it was almost impossible to find.

Yet this bastard had such a talisman which made the Sect Master not only angry, but also jealous to not have had such a trump card.

Of course, now that the donkey had escaped the Sect Master wanted to vent his rage on its backing, but he was stopped from the Ancestor,

"Youu… AAARRGHHH~!"

Before he could say anything he would regret it, he was picked up from the Ancestor and pulled in a specific direction, while a voice lingered behind,

"This meeting will be adjourned!

It's clear that we need to think things further!

In the meanwhile, Grant leave the Yin-Yang Prairie Sect, this is the decision of all the old fogies!"

The Grand Emperor was unhappy, extremely unhappy!

Despite the fact that the pillar of opposition had been close to destroyed, his plans had still failed.

Forget about the fact that he hadn't been able to throw the Yin-Yang Prairie Sect as a cannon fodder in front of his Empire, the face he had lost was something he would never forget.

At the same time though, he didn't dare to stay behind any longer, as he had no intention of fighting all the old fogies of the Sect by himself.

The Imperial Tutor, the Crown Prince, and his entourage were left behind though, as no one would dare to touch or anger them.

In fact, the Empire would more than be happy for something like that to happen, because they would finally have a reason to make a movement.

While the Gathering seemed to have been turned into a big mess with Elders and Deacons not understanding who to follow, I was pondering on everything with a smile.

While things hadn't gone exactly as I expected, and there were a lot of turns and twists, it was still a rather acceptable end for myself.

After all, there was no clear winners, the Sect was divided into multiple factions, and most importantly I learned more about my opponents and enemies.

Things were bound to become even more interesting after everything that happened, as it looked like even the Ancestors couldn't stay back any longer.

F1 and the rest immediately made their way towards their backers, and even though I was a bit worried that they might find my Slave Seals, I had no other option but to let them go.

After all, even though the Sect Master had been injured and was in danger for his life, there was still a vengeful Matriarch behind.

Leaving them with the Imperial Tutor wasn't a solution, as at that moment they would truly be branded traitors, but most importantly the Ancestors might unite the Sect.

At the same time, I didn't forget to spread my tentacles around the Sect a bit more, as more and more inner court disciples were becoming my slaves.

Of course, in order to reduce the burden on myself, I allowed those inner court disciples to 'enslave' the outer court guys.

Instead of wearing and tiring myself out, I decided to create some kind of a machinery like system that would help with the most efficient use of my slaves.

After all, the memories of that otaku guy that I devoured seemed to be coming truly in help at times like these.

Basically, I was trying to corrupt and corrode this Yin-Yang Prairie Sect from below and above, not allowing even the slightest mistake.

While I was thinking like that, I slowly decided on the next target of my attention, and of course as many would have expected it was the Sect Master himself.

At first, I thought of concentrating on the Matriarch, but beside the fact that she seemed more mysterious, and stronger than I initially thought, she was in pristine conditions.

On the other hand, the Sect Master had already suffered a big blow, and was now injured with an unknown fate.

Of course, at the moment it was logical that he was going to hide in seclusion trying to recovery, but the moment I found him, it would be easy to deal with him.

With those thoughts in mind, I decided to extend my reach a little bit towards the Core Area, and especially the disciples of the Sect Master.

After all, in order to recover that guy would most probably need quite a bit of Yin Qi and who would be a better choice than his own maids and disciples.

I had to be swift and untraceable!

I only had one shot at this.

The Sect Master had a full courtyard within the Core Area, a place that was filled with some of the best beauties of the Sect, and some of the freakiest ones as well.

The male and female disciples stayed on the same place, and they would organize some of the biggest and loudest dual-cultivation parties.

Of course, the invitations were sparse and only disciples of high stature would receive one.

To me it felt like these guys were trying to copy the parties of those Imperial Nobles, with the only exception being the fact that they started the 'fun' from the very beginning.

Besides dual cultivation though their 'fun activities' also involved mocking and playing with inner our outer court disciples.

This time they had luckily 'invited' some famous figures, like the famous trio of the Punishment Hall…
