Vol4: Alliance against the Heaven's ( End )

Hours passed, and Alex mainly stayed in his room in silence.

All preparations that could be done had already been done.

Soon night engulfed the world, the moon rose up to its highest position and illuminated the world in its shine.

Alex had used Daze to put both Charlie and Bella in a deep slumber.

Looking at the time on his watch, Alex nodded and his body dispersed into dark mist.

The mist headed to the window and using the small cracks of the wall and passed through to the outside.

It headed into the forest behind the Swan house at immense speed.

As soon as it arrived at its destination in the woods, The mist converged quickly once more and turned into a human shape.

Thump

Alex who had returned to his physical form landed on the ground.

His hair was silver that seemed to reflect the very moonlight and his eyes a deep crimson with feline-like pupils inside.

Turning around he headed toward a tree and punched it.

The tree fell down instantly though Alex held it so it fell gently without causing much noise.

Sitting on the newly created tree stump, Alex waited.

A few minutes passed before all sounds in the forest disappeared.

True silence had appeared in the forest.

At that moment in front of Alex, merely a few meters away.

A new figure appeared instantly.

It was Amon, with his black curly hair and the crystal monocle hanging over his right eye.

The man bowed to Alex before lifting a palm toward the ground.

In the next instant, two chairs and a table appeared in the forest.

Alex nodded before getting up and dragging a chair to sit down, Amon following swiftly behind him.

"So we meet again, Alexander," Amon said, his voice sounding just as mischievous as all the other times Alex had met him.

"We do, I'm sure we both have questions, how do you say we deal with this situation?" Alex said as he crossed his arms whilst looking at Amon.

Amon nodded before giving Alex a smile.

"How about we each ask the other one question, since I came so abruptly I'll allow you to ask the first question?"

"I'm fine with that, then my first question is..." Alex said before turning silent for a few moments.

"What's the purpose behind seeking me out."

Amon nodded his head, the smile never leaving his expression.

"I wanted to form a contract with you, I need your strength to help me rise up in the underworld."

"I see, you may ask me the question," Alex said, While he had no trust that anything that Amon said was real, Alex still took it into consideration, now was not the time to question Amon's truths and lies.

"Are you the real Alexander or are you that being," Amon questioned, his eyes gleaming in curiosity.

Hearing the question, it was Alex's turn to show a shallow smile.

"I'm both and some more," Alex answered, he hadn't lied to the being, he was being completely truthful.

The current Alex was an amalgamation of the past Alexander, the Alex of the other world who had combined and then resulted in a different being.

So in a sense, he was both Alexander, Alex, and the new being that was created from their union.

"Why precisely do you need my power, from what I could infer you are already stronger than Lucifer who stands atop all," Alex questioned, he had found this quite intriguing.

When he faced the old demon in the library Alex had clearly felt Lucifer's weakness, if he had wanted then Alex had a high chance of killing the man however the same couldn't be said for Amon.

Amon hummed and rubbed the edges of his monocle.

"It is because of his backing, whilst you may think that Lucifer is an eternal enemy of the Angels, he is in fact not. They are both cooperating to further the goals of 'that being'. I alone do not have the power to defeat them, however with your help, we stand a chance, even then it is a slim one." Amon said as his smile turned into a devilish toothy grin.

His words resonated through Alex's mind, was what this man saying true?

Then wasn't their discussion and meeting right now blasphemous? They were actually here talking about turning their backs against the so-called god of this world.

'This guy.' Alex thought before a light smile broke on his expression once more.

"I'm quite interested in that proposal of yours Amon, you see I don't quite like that particular 'devil' either."

At his words Amon's eyes shined.

"It's good that we agree, now then for my next question. How did you manage to survive that 'devils' as you call him, arrangements." Amon asked, his voice clearly showed by its tone that this was something Amon was very curious about.

"I didn't in a sense," Alex said before releasing a long-winded sigh.

"That's right, you said that you aren't exactly your past self," Amon said as he hummed, waiting for Alex to explain further.

Nodding his head, Alex continued.

"I am not Alexander in a sense, that being is also the current me, 'I' was from another world entirely, and in a sense 'I' didn't have a choice in this arrangement either. When I came to, I was already Alexander, and at first, I thought that 'I' was just that being however later 'I' found out that I'm actually a combination of both, and this was due to Alexander's schemes." Alex said before stopping for a moment, letting his words resonate in the eternal silence of the forest.

"He implanted most of his memories and emotions into this body physically, when 'I' came to, those shards of who Alexander was combined with me fully and transformed me into an entirely different being, I suspect that the fusion is still ongoing and there is always a chance that the past Alexander will fully take control." Alex fully explained before stopping.

This had been his main concern over the three months of summer.

Alex knew that Alexander couldn't have failed that easily, even if he was against a supposed 'God', and thus he had formed a detailed description of who he was.

What he found was horrifying in a sense.

In merely three months Alex had changed more than what should have been possible, his thoughts about certain things and scenarios that he had answered at the start of the summer had completely changed and so had his emotions regarding them.

At this point, Alex had thought back to when he had first entered this world and found out that he no longer resembled even a shred of who he had been.

He didn't enjoy playing pranks almost at all anymore, every hobby that he had enjoyed had lost its meaning, leaving only an enjoyment for bloodshed and battle.

He was slowly being eaten by Alexander in a sense, and no matter what Alex had tried until now, he couldn't find a way to stop it or even slow the process down.

Amon looked at him strangely for a moment before nodding his head.

"Let's suppose that we do initiate this heavenly betrayal plan of yours, what will my role be and how will we fight beings that should be around our strength but in much higher numbers," Alex questioned as he placed an arm on the table and held his chin on his palm.

Amon nodded his head before starting to explain his strategy.

"The first thing we must achieve is a complete upheaval of the underworld, by managing to gain control over the creatures there, we will gain strength both physically and spiritually, that is the main reason that defeating Lucifer is usually merely an unachievable dream to most demons, Lucifer grows stronger the more the demons under him do. When we usurp his spot, that strength will be given to us." Amon said before entering a silence of a few moments and starting once more.

"You mean it's like a boost in power correlated to the amount of beings under your command?" Alex asked, interested in the idea.

"That's right, I managed to weaken him and gain strength surpassing his by using a loophole in the system and managing to sever my connection to the underworld, later I found a way to form a connection with the underworld once more and even grant it to others, we will do this once we gain control of the underworld so that we can reap the rewards," Amon answered with a slight grin.

"And you're saying that the boost in our strength will be great enough to where this plan of yours against God will turn from pure insanity to actual reality?" Alex asked.

"That's right, however, we would still lose against 'him' and thus to close that gap we will usurp the powers of the angels under him as well, by drinking their blood or stealing their powers in my place, we will gain their authority over certain laws. At that point, we will have around the same authority as God if put together. After which all that will be left to do is the final battle against 'Him'" Amon finally finished explaining his blasphemous plan to Alex.

True silence once more engulfed the area as Alex started thinking.

'This could be a way to stop the fusion, if I gain enough strength.' Alex thought before he turned his gaze to Amon once more and nodded his head.

Lifting his hand, Alex extended it to Amon.

"All right Amon, I agree," Alex said his smile turning almost completely bloodthirsty.

Amon himself shared a similar expression as he grasped Alex's hand and shook it.

An alliance between the strongest Devil in existence and the Strongest Monster had been made.

An Alliance against 'God' himself.
