Chapter 34: Are you seeing this?

Edward recently dispatched five newly summoned two-winged Angels to join the Angel squad.

As of now, Edward has a total of fifty-eight two-winged Angels.

Among them, Virginia and Janet are the highest level, in the late stage of level seven.

Carolyn and Ruth also reached level seven after last night's battle with the undead army.

The Angel trio, along with Pamela and Nicole who were summoned later, have advanced to the mid to late stage of level six.

Several other Angels also reached level six last night.

The battle yesterday yielded greater gains for the Angel squad than for Edward himself, as they were the ones who defeated the undead monsters and received the majority of the original power rewards.

"Four at level seven, eight at level six..."

"Plus dozens of Angels and two hundred elite Goblin followers, that's enough to conquer the Goblin Tribe."

Although Edward was unable to summon four-winged Angels to lead the attack on the Goblin Tribe, the current strength of the Angel squad is sufficient to take it down.

Edward himself feels some regret, however.

Without the [Fences blueprint], he can't upgrade the Territory and thus can't summon four-winged Angels.

He has enough wood, stone, and iron ore resources stored in the Warehouse to upgrade the Territory to a [Medium Village], but the lack of the [Fences blueprint] prevents the upgrade.

He even considered spending hundreds of gold coins to purchase it on the trading platform.

Of course, Edward is not the only one troubled by the Territory upgrade.

Other Lords with the Lord profession are also unable to upgrade their Territories.

To upgrade the Territory to a [Medium Village], three prerequisite buildings are required: Warehouse, Watchtowers, and Fences.

Edward already has two of these, while other Lords might not have any, indicating that his development speed is still very fast.

...

Outside the Lord's Hall, Edward saw over a hundred goblins gathered in a nearby small square.

These were ordinary goblins, generally level one with very low combat power, suitable only for logistical tasks.

Currently, they were busy dissecting the bodies of monsters left from the previous day.

Hundreds more monster corpses remained undecomposed.

Lifting his gaze to the battlefield of last night, Edward saw an area about 656 feet around strewn with stark white bones and numerous ghoul corpses, which were of no use and thus left on the battlefield.

However, there was no need to worry about these remains breeding malevolent undead forces, as the Angels had purified them with holy light early in the morning.

They were so clean, you could even make bone broth out of them without a problem.

Then, Edward moved towards the Spirit Fields just outside the Territory.

Seeing the Spirit Fields, spanning about 328 feet, still enveloped in a faint halo and unaffected by the nocturnal battle, he breathed a sigh of relief.

For a Lord, the Spirit Fields were incredibly valuable.

Edward hadn't utilized them yet because he lacked seeds.

Once he had seeds, he could plant Spirit Grain to improve the food situation in his Territory, ensuring meals weren't just fruits and barbecued meat.

Moreover, consuming Spirit Grain regularly could enhance physical fitness.

For instance, the ordinary goblins in the Territory could potentially break through their limits and become Goblin warriors or even champions by eating Spirit Grain regularly.

Looking ahead, once Edward's population under his command grew—say, over a million residents—all consuming Spirit Grain would significantly boost the development of the Territory and the overall strength of its residents.

Not just Spirit Grain, the Spirit Fields could also cultivate demonic plants and Magic Potions.

Yesterday, Edward had a chat with Goblin Frank about demonic plants and Magic Potions.

Demonic plants, simply put, are plants that have become sentient.

Their primary function is to guard the Territory.

A Territory guarded by demonic plants would make ordinary wild monsters keep their distance.

Magic Potions, on the other hand, are ingredients for concocting potions.

In the world of professionals, potions are consumables similar to the red and blue potions in games, and they are extremely important for professionals.

In battle, a professional hopped up on potions is formidable.

Like crafting equipment, if a Lord wants to concoct potions, they also need a specific building called the Apothecary Mansion.

The Apothecary Mansion is more advanced than the Blacksmith Shop for crafting equipment, and its blueprints are harder to come by.

Equipment merchants and potion merchants are major money-makers in the Worlds' Floating Isles.

If Edward could monopolize the equipment and potion business on the Worlds' Floating Isles, he could be raking in billions of gold coins daily, easily summoning a vast army of Angels.

Of course, that's the dream.

To make it a reality, he still needed to work hard.

...

The Goblins Tribe is located about 2.5 miles west of Edward's territory.

Don't underestimate this distance; there's no highway, not even a road in between.

What lies there are dense forests and territories occupied by wild monsters.

Most Lord professionals are still busy clearing wild monsters within about 0.6 miles around their territories.

However, Edward's troop types have already crossed several miles to attack the strongholds of native intelligent creatures, marking a significant gap in capability.

After a grueling two-hour march through the jungle, during which countless wild monsters were slain, the Angel squad finally reached the Goblins Tribe.

Upon arrival, the Angels did not hide their presence.

They hovered in the air, about 328 feet high, with their snow-white wings spread wide.

Each Angel was fully armed, clad in silver-white armor, wielding swords ablaze with golden flames, and radiating an immensely holy aura.

This sight alone was enough to intimidate the Goblins within the tribe.

"What kind of creatures are those outside?" asked the tribe chief.

"Could they be the legendary winged beings?" wondered another.

On the wooden walls of the Goblins Tribe, a group of high-level Goblins led by the tribe chief stared in awe at the Angels hovering in the distance.

Beautiful and holy—that was their first impression of the Angels.

"I don't know," the tribe chief shook his head.

He was the oldest and most experienced Goblin in the tribe, but even he had never seen the legendary winged beings up close.

It might be them outside, or it could be another race.

But one thing was certain: the newcomers were not here with good intentions.

Friends would not approach with weapons drawn.

With this thought, the tribe chief tightened his grip on his staff, the source of his power.

An Elementalist without his staff would see his combat effectiveness reduced by at least thirty percent.

"Everyone, be on your guard. These are enemies trying to invade our tribe. They may not be high-level, but do not underestimate them," the tribe chief said sternly.

"Yes, chief," responded the Goblins warriors.

Meanwhile, the Goblins Tribe was also preparing for battle.

The remaining 300 or so Goblins, regardless of their combat ability, were all rallied.

Protecting the tribe was the duty of every Goblin.

No Goblin would abandon their tribe and flee unless the enemy was overwhelmingly strong.

Just then, a series of strange noises erupted from the forest outside the tribe.

Listening closely, it seemed to be the sound of orderly chants.

Moments later, a large group of Goblins, all fully equipped and led by several Goblin warriors, emerged from the forest.

The rest were all Goblin soldiers, totaling about 200 in number.

Soon, this Goblin troop appeared near the Goblins Tribe and formed an attack formation.

Seeing this, the Goblins on the wooden wall, including the tribe chief, were stunned.

"Are you seeing this?" they exclaimed.
