Exposed...

Seraphina admired the Duke's practical solution. Locking the unused rooms reduced labor, but it wasn't a long-term fix. People were not as enduring as iron. Hiring more servants was essential for emergencies.

"Do we have any surplus in the current budget?" Seraphina asked the butler.

"Yes, we do."

Seraphina then faced the duke, as if asking for permission.

"You don't have to ask me for anything. You are duchess, my wife. Of course, I won't antagonize your decision. At least not when it's just some Minor things."

Raven chuckled and allowed her to do anything she wanted.

"Then let's hire a few more servants. Not many, just enough to handle the mansion's specific needs." Seraphina, who was happy to hear Duke's words, readily commanded the butler to hire some maids...she didn't want to see the mansion like this... although it was grand and good. It resembles a horror house with locked rooms, spider webs, and dust everywhere.

"Understood."
