Tender Moments

Just after Raven had raised his voice, he suddenly stopped talking as his shoulders winced slightly. His impatient fingers kept tapping on the table, akin to the act of breathing.

"…I'm in perfect health," he declared.

It was an entirely different story, but Seraphina still gave a quick nod. Raven peered into her wide-open eyes for the first time in a while, feeling peculiar.

"I heard you have a lot of work to do, but you're back early," Seraphina remarked.

"That's just an exaggerated rumor. There's not much work to do, actually," Raven responded.

If Terrance had heard this, he would definitely be upset and heartbroken. He had already been scheduled to burn the midnight oil tonight on behalf of the Duke.

"You were very surprised when I suddenly collapsed before. I'll definitely be healthy from now on. You don't have to worry anymore," Seraphina assured him.

"You don't actually have to be healthy," Raven blurted out.
