CHAPTEL XVI : COOPERATION X REGRET

Chapter I: Conversation at the Main Headquarters

After receiving information from Sugi about the remaining police officers, General Sulaiman immediately contacted the Chief of Police. The phone rang, and shortly after, a police administrator answered, "This is the police station, how can we assist you?"

General Sulaiman cut to the chase, "I'm General Sulaiman from the Indonesian Army. Connect me to the Chief of Police right away."

Within seconds, the call was connected to the office of Chief of Police, Rezki Natan. Rezki answered the phone, "Hello, General..."

General Sulaiman spoke firmly, "Did you send your personnel into the Samarinda forest? That poses a great danger to everyone, you know. We've received information that only three police officers remain. I hope this won't happen again. If you need information about the forest, I'll send what you need via email. Come to headquarters immediately; we'll arrange to retrieve your personnel from the forest."

General Sulaiman promptly hung up without waiting for a response. Rezki was left speechless, feeling the weight of the situation due to the decisions he had made. He contemplated resigning from his position as Chief of Police but realized there were still unresolved issues that needed his attention before he could leave.

Chapter II: Reflection and Responsibility

After the conversation, Rezki reflected on the events that had unfolded. Guilt haunted his thoughts, knowing that his decisions had led to the deaths of many of his subordinates. However, he also understood the responsibility he still carried and the importance of resolving existing tasks before making any drastic decisions.

With a heavy heart, Rezki decided to continue fulfilling his duties as Chief of Police until all outstanding issues were resolved. He prepared the next steps, including ensuring the safety of the remaining personnel and collaborating with the military to address the threat in the Samarinda forest.

Chapter III: Coordination with the Military

Several hours later, Rezki arrived at the main headquarters to meet with General Sulaiman. The meeting was serious and focused on finding the best solutions to the current situation.

"I apologize for the incidents that affected our personnel," Rezki expressed with regret. "We will collaborate with the Army to secure the forest and ensure no more lives are lost."

General Sulaiman nodded, showing understanding and empathy. "The most important thing now is to work together to resolve this situation. Effective coordination between the police and the military will be key."

With renewed spirit to cooperate, they planned the next steps to ensure the safety of everyone involved and restore order in the area.

Chapter IV: Request for Assistance

After concluding the discussion with Chief of Police Rezki Natan, General Sulaiman continued the conversation with a serious tone. "Mr. Rezki, since we have called almost all of our troops into the Samarinda forest, I'll delegate the responsibility for raids and securing vehicles and individuals entering the forest to you. Can you assist with this?"

Chief of Police Rezki Natan nodded firmly. "Certainly, General. We will mobilize all our personnel to assist in securing the Samarinda forest. We will ensure that no unauthorized individuals enter and maintain security around the forest."

General Sulaiman smiled faintly, feeling relieved by the support given. "Thank you, Mr. Rezki. This cooperation is crucial to ensuring everyone's safety."

Chapter V: Preparation for Raids

Following the meeting, Rezki promptly returned to his office and summoned all officers for briefing. "We have received a critical assignment from General Sulaiman. From now on, we will be responsible for conducting raids and securing the area around the Samarinda forest. Prepare all personnel and ensure strict implementation of all security procedures."

The officers quickly mobilized, organizing raid teams and assigning duties in the field. They established checkpoints along the main roads leading to the forest, ensuring thorough inspections of vehicles and individuals.
