The Bet

Talindra rolled her eyes as she was getting annoyed. She looked at him as if she was ready to eat him alive. "Sorry, drink whatever you want," he immediately shouted.

"Why is he letting her drink?" Baraion gritted his teeth. He was concerned about Talindra. He had never known her to drink and now she was gulping alcohol as if it was water. The very next moment he realised that he was worried about her.

"Why am I concerned about her? She can do whatever she wants, I could care less. She can drink as much as she likes, huh!!" he thought to himself. He was angry at himself for constantly listening to their conversation. He made a point to stop using his power on them.

"One beer, one wine and one scotch," Edhelriel placed the order.

"Where is she?" asked Talindra looking all around for Talilia.

"I saw her with a boy," said Edhelriel.

"Excuse me!" shouted Talindra.

"Maybe they are just friends," Drelduin tried to console her.

"Don't you start with me? A boy and a girl can never be friends. Period," said Talindra angrily.

"Talking from experience?" asked Edhelriel.

"You know I am."

"Right, sorry."

"Find her," said Talindra to Drelduin.

"I will. Chill. I will bring her before you. First, have a drink with me."

"Fine."

The waiter brought drinks for them after some time. They were standing near a standing table and enjoying their drink. Suddenly a girl in silver walked in. Her pixie-cut hair was complimenting her small face. Drelduin choked on his drinks as his eyes fell on her smooth thighs. From certain angles, one could look at the silver panty. She looked like a sexy fairy.

"Wow!" exclaimed Drelduin after coughing.

"What?" asked Edhelriel, annoyed, she knew why he exclaimed. He must have seen a new girl to prey upon.

"Who is she? She is beautiful," bellowed Drelduin.

"Oh no, not again," Talindra too was annoyed.

"What's that?" Drelduin cupped his outer ears and moved closer to Talindra. "You want me to go and talk to her?"

"Really!" Talindra gave him a dead stare. She looked at him without blinking, with an expressionless face. "I want you to do nothing."

"Oh, don't worry by the end of the night she will sleep with me. You know my charm," said Drelduin.

"Your charm?" Talindra raised one eyebrow and stared at him.

"Yeah, me being an alpha is my charm."

Talindra closed her eyes and shook her head in disbelief. She exhaled loudly and said, "I am not playing 'WAISW' again with you."

"The what?"

"Who am I sleeping with," replied Talindra. Edhelriel sniggered at her reply.

"Ohh!" exclaimed Drelduin. "You don't like it when your brother is happy?" pouted Drelduin.

"No, I don't."

"What happened to you, you used to be so fun," complained Drelduin. Edhelriel was sipping her wine and kept looking to and from both Talindra and Drelduin and enjoying their conversation. She was happy that someone was there to scold Drelduin.

She was happy to see that the alpha who made everyone shiver with fear was afraid of a tiny girl. She was being rude and arrogant before him, and he was trying to make her laugh. He was alpha for the world, but his sister was alpha for him. Whatever she said he would do in a heartbeat.

"I am still fun just don't understand your level of fun. How can sleeping with someone be fun?" asked Talindra, exasperated.

"Try it. It will refresh your mood," smiled Drelduin mischievously.

"My mood does not need refreshment," Talindra smiled back, sarcastically.

"Hel, why is she being a spoilsport?" shouted Drelduin.

"That's between you two," Edhelriel accepted her defeat and went back to gulping her wine.

"Fine, go do whatever you want, she is going to kick your ass anyway," said Talindra looking at the girl in silver.

"And if she sleeps with me," challenged Drelduin.

"Whatever you say," Talindra accepted the challenge.

"You will come and live with me," Drelduin announced the bet.

"What? That makes no sense. I am living 15 minutes away from you," contrasted Talindra.

"I don't care. Just shake hands on the bet," said Drelduin and moved his hand forward.

"What if I win?"

"I will give you the largest cabin that is next to mine," smiled Drelduin.

"I am in."

Edhelriel instantly put her glass down and said, "okay, the wager is set, the bet begins. You two have until midnight."

For minutes he kept looking at the girl and observing her. She was not talking to anyone. He called a waiter close to him, handed him two thousand bucks and asked, "what do you know about her?"

"Oh, she? She is Ghilana Misr. The daughter of the CEO of Misr Textiles. She spent her whole life in Aranorin. She is here to take over from her dad. Have heard that she was a model in Aranorin," the waiter gave all the information to Drelduin.

"Ghilana Misr, what a woman? And she was a model." Drelduin winked at Talindra. She rolled her eyes, hard.

After a few seconds of observation, he moved toward the lady, "Ladies! Wish me luck." Both Talindra and Edhelriel started sniggering. He reached toward Ghilana. "Ghilana? Ghilana Misr?" He acted as if he knew her.

"Yes!" she answered.

"Oh, my god, I have heard so much about you," complimented Drelduin.

"Really?"

"I am Drelduin Finrandir," he shook hands with her.

"I know." She smiled.

"Woah! I am famous?" Drelduin faked his surprise.

"Yes, very much." She sipped her drink.

"How am I famous?" asked Drelduin.

"Being good in bed." She winked.

Drelduin was happy to hear her answer. He didn't have to work hard to make her sleep with him. "I don't think you need the drink anymore." He took the glass from her hand and placed it on the passing by waiter's tray. "One night with me will give you more than a hangover."

"So confident in your skills." He elegantly took her hand in his and walked away from the party. He looked back at Talindra and smiled.

"Ahh…" Talindra groaned and growled at him. Both Talindra and Edhelriel followed Drelduin.

Drelduin and Ragini turned into a corridor and he pressed the button of the lift. "I assure you, you won't be able to walk the next morning, darling."

The lift arrived, they entered and he pressed the button for the top floor. "Well, I have heard a lot about your skills." Drelduin looked at both the girls and winked at them. Talindra knew she lost with Drelduin. Now she will have to live with him. She shook her head in disbelief while biting her lower lips.
