The Halt

"I don't think you need this drink anymore." With a smirk, Drelduin took the glass from Ghilana's hand and placed it on the passing-by waiter's tray. "One night with me will give you more than a hangover, you don't need that alcohol. I will show you such a nice time that every human, lycan, or vamp will be ruined for you." He winked at the gorgeous girl.

"So confident in your skills," she smiled at his confidence. He elegantly took her hand in his and walked away from the party.

"I am the Alpha after all." They turned into a corridor, and he pressed the button of the lift. "I assure you, you won't be able to walk the next morning, baby doll."

The lift arrived, they entered, and he pressed the button for the top floor. "Well, I have heard a lot about your skills. You are the talk of the nation." The girl winked at him.

"Well, I am famous. Girls want me, bad," he said with poise and attitude. The lift started climbing.

"So where are we going?" She placed her hand around his neck and stood close to him.

His hands caressed her back. "To my office, I have the world's most comfortable couch there." He mischievously pinched her derriere.

"Ow! You are naughty, aren't you, Alpha Finrandir?" she asked sensuously.

"Call me Drel, baby doll. My friends call me Drel." He placed his mouth over her neck and licked it. She smelled marvellous. She was a bet but after smelling her he wanted her bad.

"I like your full name better, Drelduin, I love the way it causes my tongue to twist." She licked her lips.

"I will show a real tongue twister, real soon," teased Drelduin and pointed toward his ladyness.

"I can't wait," she giggled.

"Hope you are not a furry," mocked Drelduin.

"No darling, I enjoy muscular men."

He grabbed her face, and she leaned in. He placed his lips on her lips harshly and kissed her. She moved her legs over his thighs showing her bare thighs in a silver, high-slit dress. He ran his hands on the back of her thigh and pulled her closer without breaking the kiss. Slowly he placed his hands on her ass and lifted her up. Her legs were wrapped around his waist. He placed her back on the wall of the lift and deepened the kiss.

She was moaning loudly and was completely under Drelduin's charm. He was smiling devilishly. He won the bet he had with Talindra. A gullible girl was ready to sleep with him within five minutes of the meeting. Everyone wanted to sleep with the rich, handsome Alpha.

On the other hand, Talindra was angry at the girl. Who says yes to sleeping with a stranger just five minutes after their meeting? How naïve can one be? It should not matter whether the man is human or a werewolf or a vampire, rich or poor, handsome or ugly. It felt wrong to her to sleep with someone without emotional attachment.

The lift opened. Alpha Drelduin had his hand inside her dress slowly climbing to her back. He moved towards his cabin while working on her bra. He crossed the conference room on the way to his cabin where he halted after seeing two silhouettes. His actions stopped mid-way.

"Oh Drelduin, don't stop," moaned the girl.

He looked at her seriously and said, "I am sorry, Rilana. I need to check on one thing."

"My name is Ghilana," she shouted.

Drelduin pressed his tongue between his teeth and lowered his head. "Ah, shit," he mumbled. He immediately looked at her, "Ghilana, I meant Ghilana," he corrected himself.

"PUT ME DOWN, RIGHT NOW," Ghilana shrieked.

"Oh shit! I am an idiot!" he murmured.

"You don't even remember my name, and you wanted to sleep with me, you asshole!" She slapped him and started walking away.

"Come on, baby doll! What is in the name? You get to sleep with an Alpha," he called after her.

"Go to hell!" She turned back, cursed him, and went away.

"Uhh…" he moved his fingers over his hair and groaned. "Who the hell dared to disturb my conquest? I threw a gorgeous party, and these idiots instead of attending my party want to get their freak on. No, not in my office. If I can't get any action, no one can. I am the Alpha, after all, I am the CEO. Nowadays no one has any respect for the Alpha. I will show them."

He kicked the door open. His jaw dropped, and his eyes widened, he couldn't believe his eyes. A beautiful girl and a sweet boy were kissing each other. They were so into each other that they didn't even realise that Drelduin entered the conference room.

"Talilia! Othorion! What the hell you two are doing here?" he shouted.

"Drel Bro!" shouted Talilia.

"Nothing we were just… just," stammered Othorion.

"We were just kissing, so what?" said Talilia with confidence. She was tired of hiding her relationship with everyone. Though a relationship between a vampire and a human was frowned upon she had had enough. She was ready to tell the world that she loved Othorion.

"Does your sister know you are with him, does your brother know you are with her?" Drelduin placed his hands over his waist and gritted his teeth.

"No one knows, you know our families are rivals. They will separate us if they get to know," said Othorion.

"Why stop there? Be more dramatic," mocked Drelduin. "Yes, they are business opponents. They compete in everything, every department. But no, no, your families are not rivals, you are not Romeo, you are not Juliet, grow up," he scolded them.

"We love each other, Bro," pleaded Talilia.

"You are kids, try spending your time studying. You are the next generation. You have to look after VRIK. Moreover, what do you know about love?" screamed Drelduin.

"More than you, more than our families. All they could do is kill each other every time they see each other," said Othorion with disgust.

"Well, some of your family know what love is, better than you, and also know what happens when heart breaks." He stared at a wall and spoke.
