Chapter thirty seven

The grand hall echoed with footsteps as Lucian and his cousin strode in, commanding attention. Fifty men in black overalls with purple hoodies stood in neat rows, heads bowed. Lucian and his cousin took their seats on the gold throne, its intricate designs shining and symbolizing wealth and power.

Lucian, with his striking blue eyes and flowing white hair, looked out over the assembly with an air of icy detachment. His voice, when he spoke, was both chilling and resonant. "Steven, come forward, please."

Steven stepped forward, his nervousness visible. "Your lordship Lucian, just as you instructed, I gave them the warning," he said, stuttering.

Lucian's gaze hardened. "Steven, is that all? Won't you tell us in detail what they said and how your meeting with those animals ended?"

Steven swallowed hard. "Well, it ended well," he stammered. "I... let them have it."
