Chapter fifty one

As Sasha returned to her old school, resolute in her intentions, the morning sun cast long shadows over the familiar hallways. Despite pondering it all night, she couldn't fathom why Evan would consider betraying her. Determined to make him change his mind, she planned to declare her love for him, aiming to make him fall so deeply for her that betrayal would be unthinkable.

If that failed, she had a backup plan; no one would harm her and get away with it. She had already called her dad to send some of his men. Her grandfather feared she might turn dark, but what he didn't realize was that she had never been pure-hearted.

She waited until the break period before she walked through the gates of her old school, the familiar sights and sounds flooding her with memories. Her heart pounded with a mix of excitement and nerves.
