Chapter fifty nine

Alina found herself in a very dark room, the blackness swallowing her sight entirely. She could feel her pulse quicken as a wave of panic began to rise within her. Just as she was about to call out, she felt a hand gently grasp hers.

"Don't worry, I'm still here," Dana's voice vibrated in the room, its calmness immediately soothing Alina's nerves. "Follow me," she urged.

Alina, feeling reassured, followed Dana's lead, her steps echoing softly in the void. After a few seconds, Dana opened a door, and a brilliant ray of light pierced the darkness, hitting Alina's eyes. She instinctively covered them with her hands, shielding herself from the sudden brightness.

"You can open them," Dana said gently.

Alina slowly removed her hands, her eyes adjusting to the light. She found herself in a vast, elegant decorated hall. The air was filled with the soft strains of slow music, and the floor gleamed under the gentle illumination.
