Breaking Point

Alina stared at Marcus, her heart hammering, her chest tightening with every breath.

She had seen it.

She had seen Kendra's lips on his.

And now, as if to twist the knife deeper, Kendra huffed and placed her hands on her waist, smug and unapologetic.

"Alina, it's exactly what it looks like," Kendra said, rolling her eyes. "Why are you even here? You should be at home. You're a danger to everyone. No one wants you around."

Alina sighed, shaking her head in disbelief. How is she even real?

"Shut the fuck up, Kendra, and leave," Marcus snapped, his voice sharp with fury as he turned on her.

"But Marcus, she needs to know the truth!" Kendra whined. "Everyone is scared of her!"

"Get. Out. Now," Marcus said through gritted teeth.
