Bite mark

Sitting inside the dining room, Mama Xie and Papa Xie was with Mingze and Fen Yichen. The both of them are not speaking, so silence enveloped them.

"So you're telling me, the two of you are now dating?" Mama Xie asked while raising her eyebrows. 

Xie Mingze gulped down feeling scared they would see through the lies. Also, what if they don't approve of their relationship?

"Yes, we just started dating today." It was Fen Yichen, who answered Mama Xie's questions

They couldn't gauge whether they agree or not because they have a blank expression on their face. Papa Xie just sigh before standing up from his chair. "I thought it was something important. Aren't you dating a long time ago?"

"That's right, we thought you've been dating since highschool and just too shy to come and say it. Turns out you're not even official."

How could they think they've been dating since highschool? Their relationship have always been clean and pure. It was only now that their relationship upgraded, although it was fake. A straight man and gay man dating, it was the biggest fake show in the century.

"Can't believe a day would come where you would come out to us. Son, I just want to tell you, you're too obvious." 

Obvious? What is obvious? Confused, Xie Mingze tilted his head. Mama Xie just rubbed her head at her son's reaction and then turned back to the kitchen.

"Guys do you want to eat? It's past lunch time, but you should eat something before going back to school."

The house wasn't that big, even if Mama Xie entered the kitchen they could still hear her voice in the living room. Papa Xie was watching television, he would need to go back to construction tonight since his shift starts today, this time he was just relaxing at the sofa. 

"Ma, we would be eating here. We don't have class today, but would be working on our project outside."

This is the day where they would need to meet Mu Bai again for their project. Since they already watched the movie, they should start with the technical staff. First step is to make a rough draft and talk about the music direction they would want to take. 

Xie Mingze already have some rough idea of the things he wanted to do. Despite all of his plans, he still have to consult his groupmates since this is not a solo project. If he was the past him he would just ignore them and do it on his own. 

They can free ride the project and he could do whatever the hell he wants, the only con is that he would be too tired after doing everything by himself.

Maturing is realizing he can't just do everything by himself. He needs to compromise on group works like this. 

"Yichen can you contact Senior Mu? I'll just go upstairs and get my stuff."

Fen Yichen was left all alone in the dining room, it wasn't that awkward since he always stayed there. He casually sat beside Papa Xie who was watching tv and started to text Senior Mu to meet up at the cafe infront of the school. If he is low on budget, working in the cafeteria could work too. They just need to meet up.

Papa Xie turned his head towards the person beside him, Fen Yichen was wearing a shirt with a low neckline. The bite marks on his neck was pretty visible since he was bowing his head while typing on his phone. 

Noticing the mark on his neck, that looked similar to hickey Papa Xie felt a bit speechless. Didn't they said they officially started dating today? What the heck happened yesterday night? He knew that his son was already an adult, he wouldn't stop him from engaging in those acts but he doesn't want to know about it either.

Looking at his neck, it looked like there are a lot of bite marks. Did he raise a son or a dog? Why is he biting Yichen too much?

Feeling sorry for Yichen, papa Xie walked towards the refrigerator and grabbed an ice-cream. He passed it to Yichen and continued watching soccer on the television.

"Eat it while waiting for Mingze."

It was decided in the groupchat that they would be meeting at the cafe in front of the university. While waiting, Mingze noticed the red marks on Yichen's neck. It wasn't known if he just didn't bother hiding it or was unaware of it.

"Oi hide those… I know what happened, but other people would get the wrong impression."

Even though Mingze bit him in an attempt to attack him thinking he was being kidnapped last night. It doesn't change the fact that it looked like he had a wild night. It looked like hickeys from a passionate night.

Xie Mingze removed his jacked and draped it over him. He can't exactly let Fen Yichen wear it because it would rip. Their physique is a whole lot different. Wearing the jacket draped on him it looked like he bought the wrong size.

Why is he needlessly tall? 

"What are you guys doing here?" Hanya appeared at the cafe with other member of the theatre club. 

"Can we join you guys while waiting for our order?"

Apparently the seniors are there to do their project. They are taking a break for a while and was ordering food and iced coffee for take out. 

"Sure you can join us." Mingze was the one who answered, Hanya and Yichen was not close. Although, she does like him.

Mingze froze remembering that they are now fake dating. Isn't he suppose to be the wingman for Hanya? Now here he is dating the person his senior wanted to date. It was totally awkward.

He even personally delivered the letter to Fen Yichen that one time in the car. It wasn't like they were spreading the news. Mingze could just pretend to be dead for a while, "I'll go to the comfort room first, you guys stay there."
