Chapter 23

Gojo breathed a sigh of relief. 'We have a chance now,' he thought, readying himself for the next phase of the battle. He looked up and saw Thor flying to their position, levitating gracefully in the air.

Thor and Carol landed beside him, their expressions determined. "You picked the right time to appear. We do need the help," Gojo said.

"It's good to see you again, Satoru, and you as well, Ms. Marvel," Thor replied.

"Where are the others?" Carol asked.

"They are busy rounding up escapees from the Raft and helping the people in the city. It's chaotic, with all the supervillains causing mayhem," Thor explained. As he finished speaking, Mjolnir, his hammer, flew out of the water and back to his outstretched hand.

Gojo squinted at the water below. 'I still can't get in; his powers are in the way,' he thought, while Thor and Carol discussed the situation in the city and surrounding areas, mentioning how other heroes were also aiding in the rescue efforts.

Suddenly, Gojo said, "Get ready. He's coming back, and he doesn't look happy."

Carol turned to him, "I've read your file. Why haven't you used your telepathy to render him unconscious or shut down his mind?"

Gojo kept his eyes on the churning water, feeling the familiar sensation of gravity increasing upon them again. "I tried that the moment I got to his position and have been trying for a while now, but I think the gravitational field he's generating around himself renders any telepathic attack useless against him," he explained.

This time, Graviton emerged from the water, his expression calm before exploding in anger. "Three times! THAT'S THE THIRD FUCKING TIME!" he screamed. Before Thor anything moved to attack, Gojo watched as Thor swung his hammer, only for his blow to be blocked by an invisible field around Graviton. Thor infused Mjolnir with lightning and threw it again, but the effort yielded the same results.

Thor was blasted back by Graviton. Carol came from underneath, attempting to deliver an uppercut with her glowing fist. As Graviton dodged and pointed at her to crush her, Gojo appeared behind Carol, placing his hand on her back and teleporting her out of the way. They reappeared with Carol behind him, her hand still outstretched and glowing with power.

"You're wide open, Graviton," Gojo said as Carol's fist crashed into Graviton's back. She released enough energy to cause a massive explosion, and Gojo was protected by his telekinetic field. As the smoke cleared, they saw Graviton with scratches and a bleeding arm.

'All that attack, and that's all the damage done? If we don't stop him soon, he'll go for the city,' Gojo thought.

Suddenly, a massive thunderbolt struck Graviton, courtesy of Thor. Thor rushed in, swinging his hammer, but collided with a force field. While Thor's initial attack managed to stun Graviton, he quickly regained his advantage. Thor swung Mjolnir again and again, but each time he hit an invisible wall.

While Graviton was focused on Thor, Gojo exploited his vulnerability, concentrating his telekinetic power and shaping it into a drill that slammed into Graviton's back. Graviton lost his focus, allowing Carol to release another energy blast. Graviton created a gravitational bubble around himself to stave off the attacks. He then grabbed his opponents in a gravity field, restricting their movement.

"Can't your feeble minds understand what I'm telling you?" Graviton screamed. "I control one of the four fundamental forces of reality. I can remove gravity's effect on you, sending you hurtling into space, or I can increase it a thousandfold like this!" With that, he lifted his right arm and sent Gojo hurling into the atmosphere. Disoriented, Gojo tried to stop, but the gravitational force was too strong and he couldn't teleport because his sense of balance was off.

Graviton then slammed his left hand down, sending Thor into the ocean and deep into the sandbank. He blasted Carol away, making her crash back into the Raft, causing an explosion. Seeing all his opponents down, Graviton looked toward the city. "Fury, I am coming for your head!" he screamed, blasting off toward the city.

Before he could do anything, a red and gold blur slammed into Graviton, sending him hurtling toward the water. The blur released a bright blue light, sending Graviton into the water. The new arrival, a man in an advanced suit of armor, landed. The armor was primarily red with gold parts and a blue light emanating from the chest. It was Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man.

"Enough, Franklin. You've caused enough damage already," Tony said.

Graviton regained his balance and looked at Tony. Before he could speak, he felt the hairs on his body stand on end and instinctively moved out of the way as Four massive slashes each over a hundred meters long appeared on the ocean. Gojo materialized beside Tony.

"I completely missed," Gojo said.

Graviton faced them, showing a huge gash on his chest. "Missed? You idiot, that attack hit me!"

"I was aiming to dissect you into four pieces for almost sending me into space," Gojo replied coldly.

Tony looked at Gojo. "Well, good to see you, kid. Looks like you guys have been busy with Gravy here."

"I was on my way to see you when this shit show happened," Gojo said.

Before he could reply, Carol, looking worse for wear with her outfit torn in places, approached. Gojo thought, 'Good lord, look at them titties.'

"Hey, Carol. You've definitely looked better, but I am definitely not complaining about this sight," Tony called out to her.

"Shut it, Stark, and focus. And you, stop looking at my breasts," Carol snapped.

Tony chuckled. "I knew we traveled in some of the same social circles, but I didn't know you came to parties like this."

Gojo interrupted them. "Uhhh, guys, bad news." They looked at Graviton, who hadn't moved in a while, but the space around him began to twist and bend.

Iron Man received a report from his armor's scanners. "Uhhh, Carol, Gojo. Mm, the energy he's putting out… the only comparison is a black hole. This guy's trouble."

'You don't think I can sense that?' Gojo thought. "Carol, come over here," he said.

She looked at him. "Why?"

"Just come over here," Gojo insisted.

She sighed and moved close to him. Gojo held his hand in front of her, and all her injuries were reversed, her outfit restored.

"How did you do that?" Carol asked, surprised. She felt at top condition again. Tony thought, 'That's definitely not done with telekinesis. No time for that now; we need to deal with this.'
