56. Sora's Origins

{Guys we are near the Top 10, Give me your Powerstones so that fic doesn't lose its Momentum}

The next few days fell into a pattern. In the mornings, Jiraiya would work with Naruto on his summoning technique, pushing the blonde to access more and more of his chakra. In the afternoons, he would train Sora, teaching him about chakra theory, and advanced sealing techniques, and helping him refine his existing abilities.

Sora proved to be an exceptionally quick study, absorbing Jiraiya's teachings like a sponge. By the third day, he had already mastered the Heavenly Weeping technique and was experimenting with ways to modify it.

"Hey, Pervy Sage!" Sora called out one afternoon, interrupting Jiraiya's "research" at the hot springs. "Check this out!"

Jiraiya turned, slightly annoyed at the interruption, but his irritation quickly turned to amazement as he watched Sora perform the jutsu. Instead of the standard water senbon, Sora somehow managed to shape the water into intricate origami cranes that flew towards the target with deadly precision.

"Impressive," Jiraiya admitted, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "You've combined the Heavenly Weeping technique with your chakra control exercises. But why cranes?"

Sora grinned mischievously. "Well, I figured if I'm going to stab someone, I might as well do it with style!"

Jiraiya couldn't help but laugh. "You've got a point there, kid. But remember, flashy techniques are all well and good, but in a real fight, efficiency is key."

As they continued training, Jiraiya found himself increasingly intrigued by Sora's abilities. The boy's talent for ninjutsu was undeniable, but there was something else, something that nagged at the back of Jiraiya's mind. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Sora than met the eye.

Meanwhile, Naruto was making progress of his own. After days of frustration and near-falls from the cliff, he finally managed to summon his first toad - a small, orange creature named Gamakichi.

"Yo!" the little toad said, looking around curiously. "Where am I? And who are you guys?"

Naruto's face lit up with excitement. "I did it! I actually summoned a toad!"

Jiraiya nodded approvingly. "Not bad, Naruto. But I think you can do better. Keep practising - I want to see you summon Gamabunta himself before we're done!"

As Naruto continued his training with renewed enthusiasm, Sora found himself growing closer to both Naruto and Jiraiya. Despite their different training regimens, the three of them would often eat together in the evenings, swapping stories and jokes.

One night, as they sat around a campfire, Naruto turned to Sora with a curious expression. "Hey, Sora, I've been meaning to ask... where did you come from, anyway? I don't remember seeing you around the village when I was in academy."

Sora said "From the Orphanage duh, Matron said that she found me outside of Orphanage one day"

Jiraiya, who had been pretending to doze, cracked open an eye at this. He'd heard rumours about Sora's mysterious appearance in the village, but hearing it confirmed piqued his interest even further.

"You don't remember anything about your parents?" Naruto asked, his voice filled with sympathy. He knew all too well what it was like to grow up without knowing one's origins.

Sora shook his head. "Not really." He forced a smile back onto his face. "But hey, it's not so bad. Konoha's home now, and I've got friends like you guys!"

Naruto grinned and threw an arm around Sora's shoulders. "You bet! We're gonna be the strongest ninja in the village, believe it!"

As the boys continued to chat, Jiraiya found himself lost in thought. A child with extraordinary abilities and no record of his origins... it was a mystery that needed solving. He made a mental note to have a chat with his old sensei, the Third Hokage when they returned to the village. He already had a theory and his Sensei probably would have reached the same conclusion

Jiraiya made a mental note to ask his spy network to find redheads in countries near Konoha.

The next morning, Jiraiya decided to change things up a bit. "Alright, you two," he announced as Naruto and Sora arrived at the training ground. "Today, we're going to work on your taijutsu."

Both boys perked up at this. While they had been focusing on ninjutsu and chakra control, neither had neglected their hand-to-hand combat skills.

"We'll start with some basic sparring," Jiraiya explained. "Naruto, I want you to focus on your speed and unpredictability. Sora, you concentrate on your form and precision. No ninjutsu or special techniques - just pure taijutsu. Got it?"

"Got it!" the boys chorused.

As they squared off against each other, Jiraiya couldn't help but notice the stark contrast in their styles. Naruto was all energy and enthusiasm, his movements wild and unpredictable. Sora, on the other hand, moved with a fluid grace that seemed at odds with his young age.

The spar began, and it quickly became apparent that both boys had improved significantly since their last match. Naruto's increased chakra control enhanced his speed and strength, while Sora's precision and chakra enhancement made every movement count.

Jiraiya watched closely, calling out advice and corrections. "Naruto, watch your footwork! Sora, keep your guard up!"

As the match progressed, both boys began to push themselves harder. Naruto, frustrated by Sora's ability to dodge or block most of his attacks, began to move faster, his movements becoming even more unpredictable.

Sora, sensing the change in Naruto's intensity, responded in kind. His movements became sharper and more precise, and Jiraiya noticed with interest that the boy seemed to be incorporating elements of the Gentle Fist style into his technique.

Suddenly, Naruto managed to break through Sora's guard, landing a solid punch to the younger boy's chest. Sora stumbled back, momentarily winded.

"Alright, that's enough," he called out, stepping between the boys. "Good work, both of you. Take a break, and then we'll work on some individual exercises."

As Naruto headed off to get some water, Sora discussed about this spar with Jiraiya.

As the day wore on and the sun began to set, Jiraiya called an end to the training session. "Alright, you two. That's enough for today. Naruto, keep working on your chakra control. Sora, I want you to practice that water jutsu I showed you yesterday. We'll pick up again tomorrow."

As the boys headed off, chatting animatedly about their progress, Jiraiya found himself lost in thought. He had a feeling that the mystery surrounding Sora was only just beginning to unravel.

Meanwhile, in the village, life goes on. Hanabi continues her training with her father, incorporating some of the unconventional moves she learned from Sora into her Gentle Fist style. The other rookies, hearing rumours of Naruto and Sora's special training with one of the Legendary Sannins, push themselves harder in their own training.

And somewhere in the shadows, unknown forces move their pieces on the board, setting the stage for events that will shape the future of the ninja world.
