As he dodged, Sora noticed with relief that the shadow clone he had left to protect Tsunade was still in place. The clone stood protectively in front of the still-paralyzed Sannin, ready to defend her if necessary.
Realizing that his usual tactics wouldn't be enough, Sora decided to change his approach. He quickly formed hand signs, then summoned a massive Fuma Shuriken. This wasn't an ordinary shuriken, though. Its diameter was nearly equal to Sora's height, and the space in the center was covered, preventing that part from rotating when thrown.
With a grunt of effort, Sora twisted his body and hurled the giant shuriken at the reanimated Kazekage. The gold dust surrounding the Kazekage parted on one side, creating an opening that Sora immediately used to escape with a Body Flicker technique.
The Kazekage easily sidestepped the shuriken, but Sora wasn't done yet. Using chakra strings, he manipulated the shuriken's path, causing it to make a U-turn and head back towards the Kazekage from behind.
However, the Fourth Kazekage, even in his reanimated state, was not so easily fooled. He anticipated the attack and sidestepped once again, causing the shuriken to sail past him and head back towards Sora.
With the golden sand hot on his heels, Sora found himself in a precarious position. But the young ninja had one more trick up his sleeve. As the shuriken approached, he quickly weaved more hand signs.
To the surprise of everyone on the battlefield who had been occasionally glancing at this intense fight, Sora leaped onto the giant shuriken as it passed. In midair, he used a wind-style jutsu.
"Wind Style: Gale Palm!"
The burst of wind, combined with Sora's chakra-enhanced feet sticking to the shuriken, sent him soaring into the sky. He had effectively turned the massive shuriken into a flying platform.
He was hovering with it like a surfboard on air.
"Take that, dead old man!" Sora shouted triumphantly, his red hair whipping in the wind. "I could fly all day!"
He quickly summoned a mini shadow clone, which took control of the shuriken using alternating bursts of wind chakra, allowing Sora to focus on his next move.
However, Sora's moment of victory was short-lived. His smug expression turned to one of horror for the second time in as many minutes as he watched the Kazekage use his gold dust to form a platform, allowing him to fly as well.
"You... you... damn you!" Sora sputtered, his frustration evident.
The golden sand rushed towards him once more, but this time, Sora was truly irritated. He maneuvered his shuriken directly above the Fourth Kazekage, standing upside down with his feet still firmly attached.
In a bold move, Sora released his hold on the shuriken. At the same moment, two shadow clones appeared above him, both using Gale Palm to send Sora hurtling towards the Kazekage at breakneck speed.
Sora's small, light weight due to Shape-shifting Jutsu, allowed him to reach unbelievable velocities. He had to continuously release chakra from every part of his body to protect himself from the air resistance. With his eyes closed to focus on the constantly regenerating chakra of his opponent, Sora stretched his hand out in front of him.
Even with his eyes open, he wouldn't have seen anything as His speed was unbelievably fast, It was similar to use of Chidori by a person without a sharingan.
Just as he sensed the Kazekage's chakra signature drawing near almost instantly, Sora's eyes snapped open. His hand clashed with the sand shield that the Kazekage had erected at the last second.
"Rasengan!" Sora cried, unleashing the spiraling sphere of chakra at full power.
But Sora had one more trick up his sleeve. At the point of impact, he used his Shape-Shifting Jutsu to dramatically increase his weight, adding tremendous force to his attack.
The results were spectacular. The Kazekage's absolute defense, caught off guard by the sudden increase in force, began to crack. With a sound like shattering glass, the sand shield broke apart, and Sora's Rasengan plowed through, striking the Kazekage directly.
For a moment, it seemed like Sora had achieved the impossible. The Kazekage's body was blown apart by the force of the Rasengan, scattering into particles of sand and dust.
But Sora's triumph was short-lived. Before he could even catch his breath, he felt something wrap around his right arm. His eyes widened in horror as he realized the golden sand was reforming, trapping his limb.
In a desperate move, Sora made a cross sign with two fingers of his right hand, creating a shadow clone beside him. An instant later, excruciating pain shot through his arm as the sand crushed it, pulverizing every bone.
Sora's eyes rolled back, and he began to lose consciousness. His last conscious thought was gratitude for creating that shadow clone - if he had been a second late, the clone would have felt the same pain, rendering it useless.
As Sora fell from the sky, seemingly defeated, the battlefield below erupted into chaos.
Naruto, seeing his young friend fall, let out a roar of anger. His eyes flashed red, and a cloak of malevolent chakra began to form around him. "Sora!" he screamed, his voice distorted by the Nine-Tails' influence.
Sasuke, his Sharingan spinning wildly, felt a surge of dark chakra from his curse mark. The sight of Sora's mangled arm brought back memories of Lee's devastating injury at the hands of Gaara. His eyes, already red from the Sharingan, seemed to glow with an inner fire as he struggled to keep the curse mark in check.
Jiraiya, still locked in combat with Orochimaru, felt his heart clench at the sight of Sora's fall. "No!" he shouted, redoubling his efforts to break free from his battle and aid the young ninja.
Even Tsunade, still paralyzed by her hemophobia, seemed to stir. Her eyes, previously unfocused, tracked Sora's descent with growing awareness.
As Sora plummeted towards the earth, his shadow clone sprang into action. It quickly summoned a vial of liquid from Sora's bracers and injected it directly into the original's neck. Then, noticing that Sora's vital signs were failing, the clone delivered a chakra-enhanced palm thrust to Sora's chest, stimulating his heart.
In the next instant, his shadow clone's one leg was covered by golden sand, in turn dispelling it.
The stimulation, combined with the mysterious injection, caused Sora's eyes to flutter open. His mind was fuzzy, unable to fully comprehend what was happening. But somewhere in his subconscious, a command echoed: perform a Gale Palm with his left hand only.
Working on pure instinct, Sora began weaving one-handed seals. It was a technique he had developed for situations just like this, though he had hoped never to need it. The sequence was longer and more complicated than the standard two-handed version, but Sora's muscle memory carried him through.
It involved using some seals like how he uses in conjunction with his shadow clones, then performing the seals which his shadow clone does simultaneously earlier.
"Wind Style: Gale Palm!" he managed to croak out.
The burst of wind erupted from his left hand a second before he would have hit the ground. It wasn't enough to stop his fall completely, but it slowed him down just enough to prevent a fatal impact.
Sora hit the ground hard, rolling several times before coming to a stop. His body was battered and broken, his right arm a mangled mess, but he was alive.
As he lay there, struggling to stay conscious, memories of the battle began to flood back. With supreme effort, Sora formed a shadow clone with his remaining functional hand. The clone along with Sora quickly wove hand signs, and Sora felt the familiar sensation of the Body Flicker technique whisking him away from danger.
The clone with one hand switched positions with the only clone present with two hands on the ground who was until now guarding Tsunade. The latter coming to the side of Main body and taking chakra from it.
Then, the shadow clone sprang into action. It gathered a massive amount of chakra, far more than a typical clone should be able to handle, and unleashed a powerful Gale Palm. The burst of wind pushed back the advancing golden sand, creating a moment of respite.
Taking advantage of this opening, the clone quickly pulled out a scroll and began an intricate sealing technique. In a matter of seconds, it had sealed away a significant portion of the Kazekage's golden sand.
