178. Anti Curse Seal
Sora's eyes widened as he felt something biting into his neck.
However, in the next instant, it was Orochimaru's turn for his eyes to widen.
'He has put a seal on his body which repels my cursed mark from getting onto his body, how?' Orochimaru quickly backed away as he felt Sora turning around while forming an Odama Rasengan.
This seal was created by Sora after getting an idea from Jiraiya and after some discussions with the old man.
Orochimaru's eyes widened as he felt the big blue ball disappear.
In the next instant, Orochimaru who had already flickered away got hit by the same blue ball in his gut.
'Fast' Orochimaru thought as he covered his abdomen with an earth jutsu such that it would look like steel from a third perspective.
He also infused yang chakra into this jutsu to increase its defensive capabilities while flowing a large amount of chakra in that region instinctively.
However, that was all for the nought as 'Flying Dama' Penetrated his defences with ease.
Orochimaru was thrown like a rag doll before the rasengan passed through his gut, with a massive hole.
Sora quickly sent a few more small rasengan to finish up Orochimaru, but to his displeasure, Orochimaru summoned a huge gate that blocked his rasengans.
'That should be Rashomon, but it's just a wall in the end' Sora thought while spatting a water dragon which rushed towards the wall and went over it.
An Earth Dragon clashed with it and neutralized it.
'He is definitely trying to preserve his chakra for that jutsu, otherwise, that earth dragon would have easily defeated my water dragon' Sora immediately flickered in the forward direction.
Just like Orochimaru, He also had seals present on his clothes, preventing Orochimaru from sensing his chakra reserves.
Suddenly, Sora quickly used a gale palm on the ground to throw himself above.
However, to his surprise, multiple numbers of kunai were coming at him from the ground itself.
'Water Mirror technique' Sora decided to counter the numbers with the same numbers while covering himself in a water bubble.
However, Sora's eyes widened as he saw Orochimaru rushing at him with a Kusanagi sword in hand.
He appeared in the air next to him in just a second and slashed at the water dome which was deploying Water Mirror Technique.
'Is that a clone?' Sora thought while releasing a Rasengan.
The water Mirror technique was easily broken by Orochimaru's sword and rushed at Sora.
But, the rasengan clashed with it and killed all of Orochimaru's momentum.
Sora expected that spewed out multiple water senbons at close range.
However, water materialized in front of Orochimaru in the form of a mirror and the same number of senbons clashed, neutralizing the technique.
"You stole my technique" Sora accused as he sent a Rasengan hurling at Orochimaru, but later used a wind jutsu to reach the ground quickly effectively dodging it.
"Hoho, I was the one who copied this from Fourth Mizukage and created this version, you just learned it from a scroll that I had submitted in Konoha," Orochimaru said while weaving hand seals.
"Aren't you genius, Mr Perverted Uncle" Sora said while weaving hand seals.
"Unfortunately I would have to go, It seems you have already grown up to not get a cursed seal, So, Next time we meet, I would have the intention to kill you from the start" With that Orochimaru disappeared in a poof.
'Wait, was that his real body? Or is this a trick?' Sora didn't let his guard down and landed on the ground.
In the next instant, Sora saw a green hue appearing next to him.
"Where is Orochimaru?" Guy asked
"He left probably, but just to be safe, he might be lying around," Sora said.
Guy deactivated his gates while huffing a bit.
"I will just send some clones to be sure of," Sora said while creating 5 shadow clones and 5 Earth Clones.
His previous clones along with Orochimaru's clones were long destroyed.
While the clones scurried away to check the surroundings, Guy and Sora flickered and reached the other three.
"Where's the snake?" Guy asked.
"He disappeared in a poof," Lee said.
"So, reverse-summoned huh" Sora muttered.
"Where's Orochimaru?" Neji asked while focusing on the surrounding few kilo-metres.
He could only see 5 Sora's clones.
The shadow clones that Sora created had the same seal formation as the original, hiding him from the byakugan passively.
However, in a battle, it would be useless as jutsus requiring chakra or just chakra bursts would be noticed by Neji due to closer range compared to what he was doing now.
"That was really scary," Tenten said.
"Maybe we should first go deeper into the Land of Fire before continuing this talk" Sora suggested and continued their journey at mid-speed.
They came across some Konoha patrols and informed them about Orochimaru.
Those patrols had pale faces as the memory of the Invasion was fresh in their mind.
After doing that they continued their travel and only took a break when they were decently enough in the country.
While doing this, Sora had his clones also moving in a bigger radius with their group as the centre, all of them focusing on sensing and finding hidden seals in case they get ambushed just like before.
Sora had also made one shadow clone that accompanied the guards, as at least that would help a bit in case their camp got attacked.
His one shadow clone could fight at low Elite Jounin levels for a prolonged time.
So, that really was a boon to their team as generally, an Elite Jounin is not on standby on the patrol team.
"So, what do you think was Orochimaru's purpose in attacking?" Tenten asked
"He tried to put his cursed mark on my body, luckily I had countermeasures ready for it" Sora said making others confused except Guy whose face hardened.
Sora wanted to generalize his anti-curse seal, but due to its complexity, he had yet to generalize it such that it could be used by anybody without needing Fuinjutsu knowledge.
"What's that?" Lee asked.
"It's basically a seal which allows a person to gain more power but at the cost of their sanity, it also allows Orochimaru to have some sort of influence over individuals bearing it" Guy didn't mention anything about Sasuke having this seal, as that would cause unnecessary worry.
Sora understood his point of view and also didn't mention it.
"So, when he realized that he couldn't do anything, he retreated?"
"Yeah, I was able to fatally injure him once, but he has a jutsu that allows him to regenerate miraculously any form of damage, with that he escaped" Sora shrugged.
"It's a pity" Neji shook his head. It would have been too convenient to kill Orochimaru right here.
However, it did make sense for it to not happen, as if killing Orochimaru was that easy, somebody would have long done it before.
They started travelling again.
Soon, the time to go different ways arrived.
"Are you guys really not coming back to the village?" Sora asked
"No, we are going back to train, Chances of Orochimaru ambushing us are very low," Guy said.
"I will just lend you a shadow clone just in case" Sora promptly did that along with splitting some of his previous clones into two groups and one group going with them.
Sora rushed to the village at full speed.
He soon reached the village.
He didn't even bother to stop at the village gates as he was feeling lazy.
The guards only saw a red blur and wind blowing at their faces.
Before entering the village, he had dispelled all his clones.
Sora rushed towards the Hokage office and directly blitzed for the window.
However, before he could enter the window, he saw a fist coming for him from the other side of the open window.
Sora instinctively created a Rasengan.
Fist clashed with Rasengan, but to Sora's horror, the first was the one that won, destroying his rasengan completely along with Sora's momentum.
Just as the fist was going to connect, it outstretched into a palm and grabbed Sora's wrist.
"Brat, how many times have I told you to come from the door?" Tsunade asked with a smile.
However, Sora sub-consciously shivered.
"Orochimaru tried to put his cursed seal on me"
