I’ll Think About It

Anna walked toward the small room where the orphanage doctor usually attended to the children.

Though she didn't understand the reason behind the request, she tried to stay calm.

'It can't be anything serious...' Anna thought as she made her way down the cold stone hallways, hearing the soft echo of her own footsteps around her.

Upon arriving, she noticed the door to the office was slightly ajar, so after taking a deep breath, she decided to enter.

The doctor had his back to her, organizing a series of bottles on a table at the far end of the room.

He didn't seem to have noticed her presence. Feeling a bit awkward, Anna greeted him softly:

"Good afternoon."

The doctor didn't react immediately, continuing with his task until after a few seconds, he finally turned around and looked at her with a slightly surprised expression, as if he had forgotten he had called her in.
