Ease up

"Zetian, why is he always here!! Send him away, Shoo shoo go away, peasant" Amelia shot a disdainful look at Han Jie.

Zetian sighed, even after two years she still had not changed. But at least she now willingly learned from him.

Han Jie, seemingly not minding, ignored her and proudly raised his chin, He sat on the couch as if he were the owner of the house.

"Brother Han, you never keep your promises. Where's the book you promised?" Immediately after Han Jie sat down, Qiao Qiao walked up angrily with her round cheeks puffed up as she hollered.

"Humph! You're still as unreliable as ever. I knew I should have asked Uncle Ze instead"

"Hey! Come on my little ancestor…'it's a limited edition. It's hard to get." Han Jie felt frustrated, he quickly followed Qiao Mei out

Silence reigned in the room after Han Jie went out. Zetian turned towards Amelia and asked, "Your sister is coming back today?"

He received a text notification from an unknown number earlier.

The content in it made him guess the person who sent it.

"Yeah, my sister should be back today," Amelia replied, her voice a little lower. She couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.

"Why do you ask?" she questioned, trying to sound casual.

Zetian shrugged nonchalantly. "Nothing," he answered, his expression giving nothing away. He didn't wanna say much lest Amelia think he had a crush on Chi Ying

"You should go home, the family should be together today " he added casually,

Zetian thought hard, She should be needed at the Chi's.

Amelia felt a pang of irritation upon hearing this, was he sending her away now that Ying was back?

Amelia tried to brush it off. "Is that so?" she

replied, her voice betraying a hint of irritation.

Zetian shrugged, noticing her mood, he decided not to keep her here with him lest she miss it. At that moment,

Han Jie strode into the room, a smug grin on his face. He was holding his phone which he triumphantly waved in the air.

"Hey, guys!" he exclaimed, his voice loud and confident. "Guess what? Our classmate's joint is having an anniversary party, and they invited me"

Amelia rolled her eyes at Han Jie. "Big deal," she muttered, her annoyance evident. "What does that have to do with us?"

Han Jie chuckled, a sly glint in his eyes. "Well, they invited you too " he proclaimed, his voice dripping with pride. "And I thought, who better than our resident chess master?"

He was known as the unbeatable young master. He finally had something he could surpass Zetian in. he was fully confident about it as he knew Zetian never goes out to socialize and also he had never seen him play any game

He gestured towards Zetian, his smirk growing wider. "What do you say, Zetian? Care to show off your skills? That is if you have one!!"

Zetian remained silent for a moment, studying Han Jie with a stoic expression.

Han Jie's smirk faltered slightly from the intense look from Zetian. Does he perhaps… know how to play?

but then after remembering Zetian had no knowledge of playing chess he dismissed the feeling.

After a few seconds, Zetian finally spoke, his voice nonchalant. "Alright, I'm in," he said, his eyes locked onto Han Jie's.

Han Jie chuckled, his arrogance returning in full force. "Great! I won't hold back," he said, a hint of cockiness in his tone.

Amelia rolled her eyes, exasperated by Han Jie's competitive banter. They arrived at the place and as they entered the place was filled up with people

Zetian silently scrunched up his face but still strode into the place. they settled at a table and Amelia immediately went for the menu,

Noticing the pairs of eyes looking at her she snorted

"What?! I can't watch two overgrown children about to have a game of chess without food"

"Hey! The unbeatable Young Master Han is here" Someone from the crowd yelled

"Young master Han is here?"

"Of course, he is," Another person muttered disdainfully, "He won't even let us enjoy the game today that is a special day"

"Tskk!! So detestable"

Zetian and Han Jie sat next to Han Jie, he had a thought in mind, What if everyone sees Zetian losing? That way the headline tomorrow will be

[The stoic CEO of Ze Corp was beaten hands down by the handsome young CEO of the Han Enterprise]

Han Jie suddenly looked around the room, a sly smile on his face.

"Hey everyone," he said loudly, "The CEO of Ze Corp challenged me to a game of chess let see who wins! "

Eyes turned towards him, intrigued by it. The CEO of Ze Corp is here?

"The president of Ze Corporation is here?" Someone from the crowd said in disbelief

"Do you think he'll win?"

"Quick let's get a video of it"

Amelia, knowing what Han Jie, was up to said, "Stupid thug, you're not allowed to lose"

Seeing everyone gathered to watch, Han Jie chuckled, pleased with the reaction. "Alright," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Here's the deal. We'll both put our most prized possessions on the line. The winner takes all."

Zetian raised an eyebrow "Sure?"

"Of course I'm sure! What do you mean? Do you wanna chicken out?" Han Jie taunted, "See everyone, The mighty CEO is afraid"

Zetian chuckled, he then pulled out a car key, "You have always wanted this right?"

Han Jie gasped, "Bro you're giving me this beauty?! I've asked you multiple times"

He had asked Zetian to use his influence to get him a Mercedes- AMG F1 W14 E

he had wanted to use for the track race they normally had with Zetian and the others.

"Yes and that house in the Aurora estate is yours" Zetian added

"Deal deal deal" Han Jie enthusiastically replied, He didn't care about the house though the house was for influential people but he valued the car more.

"Hey, you can do that!" Amelia hollered "Consider! You stupid Thug"

Han Jie smugly raised his face, "Humph! It's a done deal"

He pulled out a collector item, a Family heirloom and a personal keepsake

"Hehe, Let's begin" Hanjie excitedly stated

With the rules set, they both took their places around the chessboard. Han Jie sat across from Zetian. The crowd huddled around, watching with bated breath as the game commenced.

The pieces moved across the board, each player strategizing and analyzing their opponent's moves. the game had just begun but Zetian seemed to be losing, The crowd glanced at him but he concentrated intently.

"President Ze is really losing?"

"Heh, Seems like they'll be a headline tomorrow, it about time someone shows him he can't be good at everything"

Han Jie chuckled and displayed a competitive smirk.

The game stretched on, the atmosphere in the room tense with anticipation. Each move was met with gasps and muttered comments from the viewers.

Zetian looked calm and not bothered by the muttering from the crowd, he then continued to play.

The game continued to play on and Han Jie's earlier confidence began to falter as he grew increasingly frustrated by Zetian's calculated strategy.

Amelia, ever the instigator, couldn't help but chime in. "Looks like Han Jie is struggling," she taunted, her voice dripping with satisfaction.

Han Jie gritted his teeth, glaring at Amelia. "Shut up," he snapped, his attention still fixed on the game.

Zetian, on the other hand, fixed his eyes on the board, calculating his next move with careful precision. He was well aware of Amelia's attempts to throw off Han Jie's concentration, but he refused to let it affect his focus.

As the game continued, the tension in the room grew thicker. Han Jie's frustration mounted as Zetian seemed to anticipate every move, countering them with his

Amelia couldn't resist teasing him. "Looks like you're not as good at chess as you thought," she taunted with a smirk.

Han Jie clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white with suppressed anger. "Humph! I'll win! ," he muttered.

Zetian, on the other hand, continued to play. He could feel the tide of the game turning in his favour.

The game reached its climax, the moves growing increasingly intense. Everyone in the room held their breath.

Finally, with a strategic move that caught Han Jie off guard, Zetian declared, "Checkmate."

A collective gasp echoed around the room as Zetian announced his victory. Han Jie's eyes widened in disbelief, his face drained of colour. The others were stunned into silence.

Amelia jumped up and cheered, "Young master Han looks like you lost,"

She could not hide her smug satisfaction. She excitedly jumped onto Zetian's back and gave a playful punch, "Stupid thug… you did it"

Zetian felt a tingling sensation. He uncomfortable breathed, he couldn't help but crack a smile, " Get off you're so heavy"

Han Jie slammed his fist on the table in frustration, his anger boiling over. "You got lucky," he growled, his eyes burning with resentment

Zetian simply shrugged, "Maybe,"

Han Jie wanted to argue further, but with this reply given by Zetian, he was stunned speechless, this only fueled his frustration. He grudgingly accepted defeat.

Amelia couldn't help but gloat, she chuckled. "Looks like Zetian gets to take all your prized possessions,

"Yes, the undefeated young master Han! That was the deal"

"Undefeated? More like defeated H-haha"

The crowd chimed in, agreeing with Amelia's remark. Han Jie's face turned red with humiliation and anger, but there was nothing he could do about it. He had said it himself. He couldn't shoot himself in the foot

Zetian, who had been quietly observing the scene, spoke up, his voice calm. "I do not lack anything," he said,

Han Jie triumphantly smiled, he knew they were brothers Ahahaha

Zetian looked at the big smile on Han Jie's face and added. "But you might as well hand it over to Amelia."

Han Jie gritted his teeth, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

Reluctantly, he handed over his most valued possessions - a family heirloom, his car that he had just recently bought, and a personal keepsake.

Amelia accepted each item with a wide smile, a small smirk playing on her lips. She couldn't help but bask in the satisfaction.

The crowd watched silently as Amelia collected Han Jie's possessions. Some wore looks of glee, pleased to see Han Jie finally getting his just deserts, while others just watched silently, unsure of how to feel.

Amelia wore an expression of pure satisfaction. She had taken great pleasure in watching Han Jie lose, and now, seeing him humbled and defeated she unconsciously let out a chuckle

Zetian watched as Amelia finished collecting Han Jie's possessions, he glanced around the room. "Well, that's that," he said.

Han Jie shot him a venomous glare, his embarrassment and frustration are obvious. He couldn't believe he had been outsmarted by Zetian yet again.

"Zetian, why is he always here!! Send him away, Shoo shoo go away, peasant" Amelia shot a disdainful look at Han Jie.

The owner, Kim Wei walked over and offered sympathetic pats on the back of the dejected Han Jie. "Tough luck buddy," he said

Amelia, sensing the perfect opportunity for one last jab at Han Jie, approached the defeated man. "Better luck next time," she mocked

Kim Wei chuckled, he turned to face Zetian and Amelia, "You Duo still won't stop bullying him huh"

Han Jie's face twisted in anger, his humiliation turning to wrath. He wanted to lash out at Amelia, to shut her insolent mouth up

Zetian sensed the mounting tension, he placed a hand on Han Jie's shoulder. "Ease up," he said

Han Jie bristled under Zetian's hand, his pride bruised.

He took a deep breath, trying to restrain his anger. "Fine," he muttered through clenched teeth. "I lost. Happy now?"

He then stormed off in Anger

Amelia happily cheered, "Let go home, thug"

Zetian let out a small chuckle, he turned to Kim Wei, "Goodbye then"

Kim Wei nodded

Amelia holding Han Jie properties skipped out of the place
