Letters?

Evelyn stirred and slowly opened her eyes, drowsy. As her vision adjusted, she was startled to find that person sitting next to her, his gaze fixed on her intently.

She rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was dreaming. "You?" she mumbled, her voice still groggy. "What are you doing here?"

"I happen to be here" Sial stated dryly

Evelyn's heart raced as she sat up, she had a good nap, "But why were you...sitting here watching me sleep?" she asked tentatively.

Sial regarded her silently for a moment, his steely gaze unwavering. "I wanted to make sure you were alright," he replied calmly. "You've been looking weary lately."

Evelyn shifted uncomfortably under his intense gaze. "I'm fine, just tired"

Sial studied her features, noticing the dark circles under her eyes. "You haven't been sleeping well," he stated matter-of-factly. "I can see it on your face."

"I'm fine" she insisted

"Liar," he said simply, his voice cold. "I can see through your facade, Evelyn. I can sense your unease."

Evelyn's heart skipped a beat at his words.

Sial leaned forward, his gaze never leaving hers.

For the past two years, he had watched over her and she was perfectly normal until he came back. Was it him?

"What are you so scared of, Evelyn?" He asked again, a hint of mockery in his tone. "Are you afraid of me?"

Evelyn swallowed hard, her throat feeling dry. She didn't know how to answer that question. Yes, she was afraid of him, but it wasn't just that. She was scared of the dreams, the letters, the warnings. She was scared of the unknown, of what might happen next.

"I..." she began, her voice trailing off. "It's nothing."

Sial let out a chuckle softly, a sardonic smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Nothing, huh? Then why are you shaking like a leaf?" he said, his eyes scanning her trembling form.

Evelyn cursed inwardly.

"I-I'm just cold," she lied, her voice quivering.

Sial gazed at her, she couldn't be cold. He made sure of it, seeing through her attempt at deception. "Try again," he said, his voice lowering into a dangerous tone. "And this time, try to be honest."

Evelyn shifted uncomfortably under his scrutiny. She knew lying would be useless, but she was terrified of revealing the truth. But she had no choice

"All right, all right," she finally admitted. "I'm scared, okay? I'm terrified."

Sial looked confused at her admission. She is scared? Of what?

"Tell me, Evelyn, what exactly are you scared of?"

Evelyn took a shaky breath, trying to steady herself. She couldn't believe she was about to reveal the contents of her dreams to him.

"I've been having nightmares," she said softly. "Dreams about you."

Sial raised an eyebrow and smirked, his expression curious. "Dreams about me?" he said. "And what do I do in these dreams, Evelyn?"

Evelyn's face flushed as she tried to recall the details of her dreams. "You're... different," she said haltingly. "You're not the way you used to be. You're cold and heartless. And... and murderous."

Sial's smirk faded slightly as he observed her, a hint of surprise flickering across his face. "That's quite a vivid imagination you have there," he said "I must ask, Evelyn, what would cause me to become such a monster in your dreams?"

Why was that?

Evelyn swallowed hard, her throat feeling tight. She knew what the answer was, but actually saying it out loud made her uneasy.

"It's because... because of the letters," she confessed quietly.

His expression darkened at the mention of the letters. "Letters?" he said, the tone of his voice sending a shiver down her spine.

Evelyn nodded, her eyes downcast. "Yes!," she admitted. "I don't understand how the letters are connected to my dreams, but..." She trailed off, unable to find the words to continue.

Sial leaned forward, his eyes studying her intently. "But what, Evelyn?" he prompted, his voice low and dangerous. "Go on"

Evelyn refused to speak any further. She silently gazed at him.

Sial regained his composure and said softly" Dont talk about it" he stared intently at a spot as if lost in thought

A moment later he finally spoke up, "I also received such letters" he said softly

"You did?" Evelyn widened her eyes in surprise. If he also received such letters then…then what does it mean?

"While going through the company's documents the past days, I came across the letter and it was identical to mine… just with different messages" Sial added expressionlessly

"Ohh… then do you perhaps, have any idea about it?" Evelyn sceptically asked, though she now feels slightly relaxed, that the dream didn't really add up, as he didn't seem to be pretending to be clueless.

A strange glint flickered in Sial's eyes, "Don't think too much about it" he stated. He then grabbed her wrist and pulled her with him "Let's go, it's cold"

Evelyn's face flushed red at the action, She immediately pulled her hands out as if she touched a piping-hot steel

Sial shot a questionable gaze at her

Evelyn embarrassingly stated, "Um… Hurry let's head back, Stop dillydallying"

A smile crept up Sial's face. There… she seems to be okay.
