Synopsis

A mad man has torn down the gates of the underworld. The malicious abyss is alive, and it stares back...

**

Zero, a crippled and one handed teenager with a drastically grim outlook on life, has been granted a deadly second chance.

Attacked and killed by a mysterious power, Zero wakes up again to find himself in his body that was close to becoming a corpse. Beside him, he finds a scroll with a hefty task and the eyeball of a dead god once known as the Yanluo of hell.

"Consume the eye, find the Core of Naraka and begin your odyssey," said the scroll. "You are living on borrowed time. With every full moon that passes, a taste of the horrors of hell shall eat at a bit of your mortal soul. Till you are a slave to your own flesh."

Seeing these words, Zero wished to be dead once more.

**

Cultivatiors are gods in this world corrupted by darkness, looked upon by the common people as figures of holiness. Yet they are far from that.

Tainted by their desire to touch the realm of immortals and break from the cycle of Samsara, cultivators are worse than the demon kind.

When word gets out that the god of hell has passed, killed by an unknown power, the cultivation world goes into chaos. Finding the power source of hell, the Core of Naraka, would mean becoming a deity.

Now who wouldn't want to become a god?

The immortals in the realms above and below have chosen their pawns; hell's power is far too grand to pass on.

A dangerous game is about to unfold.

Follow Zero, an ordinary mortal. A pawn piece picked by the realm of hell itself to walk the tumultuous path of the dead, face crazed cultivators and immortals, challenge gods and bring down monstrosities of hell.

Son of Naraka, choose your class and break the cycle of Samsara!

NEW CHAPTERS EVERY DAY! (Only school stuff and emergencies will delay updates.)

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS BOOK CONTAINS EXTREMELY DETAILED SCENES OF VIOLENCE, GORE AND THE LIKE. READERS' DISCRETION IS HIGHLY ADVICED.

Ps. MC doesn't start out a villain immediately. That's a character development that'd take time.

This story is slow paced for optimum development. No, the MC isn't going to start breathing fire or flying instantly. There are no filler chapters. Everything is connected.

Happy reading!

Hello there! Just A shameless newbie author saying hi. This is my first web novel and I am VERY nervous. Anyways I'm giving it my best and hoping to find the right audience. If you like a little bit of dark fantasy, weak-to-strong and a villainous cynical MC, then check my book out! Looking forward to meeting my new readers!

Are you into mcs who are struggling to keep their morals and sanity intact as he does horrible evil things for his survival? I am! This story is truly dark delight! This is a slow burn story that is currently focusing on the mental journey that our mc is going through. As he tries to unravel and make sense of the entity he has unknowingly bound to himself to, a one sided deal he says as if it was not him who wanted power? The writing is crisp and pulls you in wonderfully! I had no problem imagining the scenes as they were written and the world building unfolds in a natural way, everything just seems to blend together seamlessly! I cannot help but pity and be filled with compassion for the mc as the horrors he has to endure is too much for a child. Especially since he is thrown into a middle of a scheme by almost everything or everyone around him. The world hates his very being and he pays the price for just wanting to live. He is pulled into a game where he has no choice but to play. But at the same time I delight on his suffering as he struggles, on how everyone around him give him no kindness or care. I look down on his insistence to keep his innocence and ethics, I think it is worthless to keep it in the face of survival. This was his decision, he was the one who wanted the power to change. It just came with certain things he wasn’t comfortable with, big deal. The world would eat him whole if he so much as slip and the more he insists the more he will slip. If he wants to keep his wretched life he needs to bite, growl and claw at anything that stands in his way. Just one mistake is all it takes and fate would not help him. I am awaiting the day he throws his conscience to the dogs and he truly embraces his villainous self!

Great story, great potential, Its dark which is good for a villain novel, I think we're gonna see more of Zero doing the worst to survive, again good for a villain story, its also a Cultivation novel, but I'll be honest the start is good, but it's still too early to judge if it'll stay like that, but I'm trusting it will, keep up the good work Author also I hope the Author makes a Auxiliary Chapter of the power system. GJ Hope it gets even darker😈😈.

It's a dark story with a strong opening before things get worse. The MC only appears in the second chapter (technically the third because of how the story is structured) and before you could pity him, all hell's let loose. And you guessed it, it only gets worse from there. Not the style though, written in the third person present, it puts you right into the thick of it. I can't say "enjoyable" because it shows the darkest horrors but it's well-written. Keep up the good work!
