“I’m worried about Enora, Elio.”, Leonora said, her voice tinged with concern. “She has been through so much lately, and now this… what if something happened to her? What if the humans get to her?”

Elio sighed softly, swirling the liquid in his glass and his brow furrowing in thought. “I know Leonora. But what can we do? There is no denying the mate bond, you know that.”, he replied, his voice filled with frustration.

“Elio, I think we must tell Enora what she is.”, Leonora stated firmly, even though she was unsure. The topic had been weighing heavily on her mind for some time now. Elio shook his head determinedly.

“You know we cannot do that! The Oracle forbade us to do so!”, he said decisively, and took a sip from his drink.

“So what is the Oracle going to do if we do it anyway?”, Leonora said. She wanted to defy orders to make her daughter feel good again. It pained her to see Enora doubting herself.

Elio looked up in surprise to his wife. “You know that it might screw up the prophecy.”, he said in minor shock. Leonora took his hands into hers.

“We don’t even know for sure that the prophecy is about Enora.”, Leonora exclaimed in frustration. “It said ‘old enemies must unite’. I mean, Enora was brought up so far outside of these communities, what enemies could she possibly encounter? “

Moonlit Legacy

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over the pack territory, Adam met up with Lucas on their way back to the mansion after a long day of checking the borders and trying to get some answers about who wanted the pack wiped off the map. They were tired, but content, their minds focused on the sense of accomplishment that came from a hard day’s work. 


As they entered the mansion, they appreciated the hard work that had been done in transforming the mansion so far. It wasn’t ready yet, but at least their apartment on the top floor was more or less ready. Both Adam and Lucas were looking forward to unwinding with their mates and enjoying a well-deserved rest.
