"What do you mean?"
Madara's face revealed confusion.
What did they mean by saying his eyes were the same as Gensou's?
His eyes were the Rinnegan, a power that, aside from him, only the legendary Sage of Six Paths had possessed.
How could this possibly be connected to Gensou?
Moreover, earlier, Retto had mentioned Gensou, and now Hashirama brought him up as well.
Clearly, Gensou was also present in the current world.
Was it a state similar to Edo Tensei? Or had he truly been resurrected?
Interesting!
Madara's smile widened, his excitement growing.
The stronger his opponent, the more exhilarated he felt.
Especially when facing his old rivals once again.
"Hashirama! Let's fight!"
At this moment, the burning flames of battle within Madara reached their peak. He had no interest in pursuing other matters for now.
What he wanted most was to engage Hashirama in battle once again, releasing all the pent-up frustrations from the years he spent hidden in the shadows.
Boom!!!
Before Hashirama could respond, the Perfect Susanoo, under Madara's will, moved once more, launching a powerful and grandiose attack.
Hashirama, who had intended to ask more questions, had no choice but to clap his hands together and prepare to fight.
The Senju and Uchiha, Wood Release and Sharingan, Asura and Indra.
Decades later, their clash resumed.
...
The scene shifted.
Although it was daytime, the place Gensou had arrived at was shrouded in an ominous deep red glow.
Gensou gazed at the towering crimson pillar before him, which seemed to pierce the heavens like an enormous spear. He suddenly felt an itch in his nose and resisted the urge to sneeze.
"Is someone talking about me?"
Suppressing the sensation, Gensou glanced briefly in the direction of the Leaf Village.
If anyone had been mentioning his name recently, it was undoubtedly the Edo Tensei resurrected individuals in the village.
Paying it no further mind, Gensou turned back to study the source of the disturbances—a crimson pillar greedily absorbing all the energy around it.
There was no need for him to investigate further.
Beside the pillar stood an elderly man with a white beard. His arms spread wide in excitement as he gazed at the phenomenon before him. His fervent eyes shone as he shouted:
"The Spear of Heaven! This is the Spear of Heaven! I've finally obtained you! It won't be long before the ninja world kneels at my feet. A new era is about to dawn, and I shall be crowned its king! Hahaha!"
After years of pursuit, the man—Disonas—had activated the Spear of Heaven and now wielded unimaginable destructive power.
Pleased with himself, he proclaimed his dominance and envisioned a future where he ruled supreme.
He laughed maniacally until a calm, unfamiliar voice interrupted him from behind.
"Another dreamer."
Gensou had approached the Spear of Heaven and casually glanced at Disonas, his tone indifferent.
The ninja world was truly unlucky.
Time and time again, strange individuals would discover strange objects, have their confidence swell, and start fantasizing about conquering the world.
They never seemed to consider the disparity between themselves and the Five Great Nations, as though simply holding a weapon made them invincible.
Disonas was no different.
Startled by the sudden voice, Disonas turned sharply. Hearing the words dismissing him as a dreamer, his initial surprise turned to anger.
"Insolent fool!"
Disonas spun around to glare at the intruder.
He didn't recognize Gensou.
Having spent years searching for the Spear of Heaven in this remote area, Disonas had paid little attention to the outside world.
While he sensed that Gensou wasn't to be trifled with, he believed that with the Spear of Heaven in hand, no ninja could stand against him.
With a haughty tone, he declared:
"Young man, though you've offended me, I'll forgive your ignorance. If you kneel and swear loyalty to me, I'll grant you great glory in the new era."
"Otherwise, you'll perish under the might of the Spear of Heaven."
As if to emphasize his words, crimson lightning crackled violently around them.
A bolt struck just ten meters from Gensou, leaving a smoldering crater in the ground.
Disonas smirked, his expression confident. "Now, what's your choice?"
Gensou glanced at the crater before calmly turning his gaze back to Disonas. Ignoring his words, he asked, "You once collaborated with Orochimaru to research Edo Tensei, didn't you?"
Disonas' face stiffened.
"Who are you?!"
This was his greatest secret. Other than Orochimaru, no one should have known. Had Orochimaru leaked it?
"You're the one I'm looking for," Gensou replied, ignoring the question.
"I have some questions about Edo Tensei that I'd like you to answer."
As he spoke, Gensou began to walk toward Disonas.
Seeing this, Disonas' heart raced. Without hesitation, he activated the Spear of Heaven.
"Die!"
Crimson lightning lit up the sky, reflecting a ferocious expression on Disonas' face.
No matter who this intruder was, he had offended him, exposed his identity, and ignored the chance to submit.
With a deafening roar, the Spear of Heaven unleashed its power.
A bolt of crimson lightning, wider than Gensou's body, descended at impossible speed, leaving no time to react.
The lightning engulfed Gensou completely.
Disonas relaxed, his face breaking into a triumphant grin.
"Fool! Not even the combined forces of the Five Great Nations could withstand this, let alone you. Huh? Impossible!"
Disonas' laughter abruptly stopped.
As the lightning dissipated, Gensou stood unharmed, his expression calm.
"Not bad," Gensou remarked casually.
In an instant, he vanished and reappeared beside Disonas.
"No! This can't be!"
Panic-stricken, Disonas frantically manipulated the controls of the Spear of Heaven.
The spear shuddered violently, releasing a dense crimson electric net to shield Disonas.
Simultaneously, even larger bolts of crimson lightning descended toward Gensou.
At such close range, Disonas clearly saw the lightning strike Gensou repeatedly—only to be absorbed into his body without causing any harm.
The protective electric net around Disonas fared no better, dimming rapidly as Gensou reached through it effortlessly.
With a single motion, Gensou grabbed Disonas by the head.
