Chapter 300

"How is this possible?"

At this moment, Disonas's resolve completely shattered.

"The legendary Spear of Heaven has appeared… I was supposed to conquer the ninja world! How… how did I lose to just one person so quickly?"

Disonas muttered in disbelief, his thoughts racing.

It wasn't until he felt a sharp pain in his forehead that he snapped back to reality.

Realizing that his life now hung in someone else's hands, his survival instincts overwhelmed everything else.

Disonas raised his hands in surrender.

"I yield! I once worked with Orochimaru to research Edo Tensei. I know many secrets about it! Spare me, and I'll tell you everything!"

"There's no need. Whatever you know, I can find out myself," Gensou replied calmly.

Disonas, desperate, tried to speak further, but his eyes suddenly rolled back. He could no longer do anything.

Moments later, Gensou released his grip on Disonas's head.

As Disonas had claimed, he and Orochimaru had collaborated extensively on Edo Tensei, contributing significantly to its development.

Gensou extracted this knowledge directly from Disonas's memories, gaining valuable insights.

Combining these with his current understanding, Gensou now had the confidence to perfect Edo Tensei.

One of his objectives for coming here was complete.

As for his other purpose…

Gensou turned his attention to the towering crimson pillar beside him, still greedily absorbing energy—the Spear of Heaven.

It was undoubtedly a powerful weapon, but it was useless against someone at Gensou's level.

While it could decimate weaker foes en masse, it posed no real threat to him.

In Gensou's view, the ninjas of today were like his personal power banks; losing too many at once was wasteful.

Moreover, the Spear of Heaven competed with him for the planet's resources. Naturally, Gensou would not tolerate its existence.

Having already extracted the method to deactivate the Spear of Heaven from Disonas's mind, Gensou decided to destroy it entirely to prevent it from becoming a future problem.

Bringing his hands together, the brilliance of Dust Release enveloped the Spear of Heaven.

Moments later, the crimson lightning and the distorted, hourglass-shaped spatial anomaly vanished entirely.

The sky cleared once more.

All that remained was a small fragment of the Spear of Heaven, which fell to the ground amidst a cloud of dust, a faint echo of its former glory.

"What… what did you do?!"

Regaining consciousness, Disonas stared at the scene in shock.

Though the Spear of Heaven had fallen short of his expectations, it was still an incredibly powerful weapon.

Now it was gone, and he was heartbroken.

Gensou glanced at him briefly. The purple swirls of his Rinnegan rippled as a small stone nearby shot through Disonas's forehead like a bullet.

Thud!

Disonas fell backward, lifeless, his face frozen in an expression of grief.

For someone who had slaughtered an entire village to obtain the Spear of Heaven, Gensou had no intention of sparing him.

With a final glance at the ruined fragment of the Spear, Gensou disappeared, continuing his journey.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the Leaf Village, a far greater battle raged, shaking the very earth.

But this was no longer a simple duel between Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.

The First and Second Kage of the Five Great Nations had joined the fray.

As ninjas, they had no adherence to the honor codes of samurai. If they could win by outnumbering their opponent, they would.

With Gensou still at large, they needed to eliminate Madara as quickly as possible.

Understanding the stakes, Hashirama, though disappointed that he couldn't face Madara one-on-one, accepted the others' help.

Madara, however, was far from pleased.

Still, with his characteristic arrogance, he laughed.

"So, you all want to join the dance too?"

But his laughter didn't last long.

Even with just Hashirama, Madara needed to go all out.

Now, with the addition of the ever-elusive Tobirama and the capable First and Second Kage, who were far from pushovers, the tide quickly turned against him.

In no time, Madara's Perfect Susanoo was shattered, and he found himself overwhelmed by the relentless attacks led by Hashirama.

"If I were truly revived…" Madara muttered bitterly.

If he had been at his peak, even if his opponents were as well, the battle would not have gone this way.

Just as Hashirama couldn't fully utilize his True Several Thousand Hands in his Edo Tensei state, Madara couldn't unleash the full power of his Rinnegan.

For example, his Limbo: Border Jail technique, which had easily subdued the Tailed Beasts, would have been more than enough to eliminate the interfering Kage. Even Hashirama would have struggled to counter it.

In the original timeline, even with just one Rinnegan, Madara had been nearly unbeatable. With both Rinnegan, his power would have been unparalleled, cementing his title as the strongest below the Sage of Six Paths.

But reality was what it was.

Madara gritted his teeth, unwilling to accept yet another defeat.

"Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!"

At that moment, Hashirama clapped his hands, summoning massive red torii gates from the heavens to pin Madara down.

Seeing the danger closing in, Madara cursed Obito and Black Zetsu for their failures.

Just then, Black Zetsu's voice rose from underground.

"Madara-sama!"

Madara's eyes glinted as Black Zetsu continued.

"Madara-sama, the situation has turned against us. Let me help you escape!"

Madara didn't refuse.

Knowing this wasn't the time for vengeance, he allowed Black Zetsu to envelop him and slip underground using Mayfly.

The Kage were naturally unwilling to let him go, immediately giving chase.

After about fifteen minutes, they returned with grim expressions.

They had lost him.

The strange, half-black, half-white creature aiding Madara was a master of escape, outpacing even their collective experience and expertise.

The First Raikage growled in frustration.

"We haven't even dealt with Gensou, and now we have Madara. Truly a cursed season!"

"At least Madara's power isn't as overwhelming as it could have been," the First Tsuchikage, Ishikawa, said, trying to console the group.

With the strength of the ninja coalition, they could afford to divert some forces to deal with Madara.

At that moment, the First Kazekage, Retto, asked cautiously,

"Do you think Madara might join forces with Gensou?"

Before anyone could speculate, Tobirama answered decisively.

"Don't worry, he won't."

After all, who would ever ally with someone who had stolen their eyes?
