"Everyone, charge!"
A Konoha ninja shouted, leading the charge with no regard for their life, rushing toward Gensou.
Seeing someone take the lead, the other ninjas mustered their courage.
Amid a series of deafening battle cries, many trembling, their faces flushed, cold sweat streaming down, and even tears falling, they clenched their teeth and moved as one, charging at full speed toward Gensou.
This was their responsibility.
The responsibility of a ninja.
A force of ten thousand ninjas sprinting together created a tremendous commotion.
The earth trembled violently, and dust rose like a dragon soaring into the sky.
Gensou lifted his head, gazing at the massive, dark wave of the united ninja forces surging toward him. He said calmly:
"Perfect, I'll clear out the unnecessary distractions first. That way, they won't keep demanding attention later."
As his words fell, faced with the charging ten thousand, Gensou didn't retreat; he advanced.
An overwhelming, sky-darkening aura erupted from his body.
Step by step, his movements grew faster, and with the momentum of one man, he suppressed the charge of ten thousand.
"Ahhh!!"
The first Konoha ninja to reach him screamed, swinging a kunai in a desperate attempt to strike Gensou.
"Your courage is commendable."
Gensou commented lightly, reaching out and grabbing.
The Konoha ninja didn't even have time to react before feeling a sudden choke at his neck. Lifted into the air, his world spun violently.
Gensou casually flung him into the mass of ninjas.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Like a bowling ball striking pins, the ninja collided with others, creating a long, deep trench in the tightly packed formation.
"Die!"
An Iwa ninja charged in with a heavy punch.
Without even sparing a glance, Gensou kicked him. The burly figure was sent soaring high into the sky, only to crash down moments later with a resounding boom.
Clang!
A sharp blade slashed at him from behind. In an instant, Gensou flashed beside the attacker, easily snatched the blade, and in the next second, blood splattered.
With another sweep of the blade, over a dozen ninjas charging from all directions fell silently to the ground in unison.
In mere moments, the first wave of ninjas had been completely wiped out.
Gensou tossed aside the blood-soaked sword, looking at the new wave of ninjas rushing toward him, shouting incoherently.
Dusting off a few specks of dirt on his clothes, he resumed walking calmly forward.
Pain, unwillingness, screams, and despair.
These sounds echoed continuously around Gensou.
Like scattering blossoms, every ninja who approached him was either knocked to the ground, sent flying, or hurled into the mass of their comrades.
Row after row of ninjas fell, but Gensou remained unscathed, showing no signs of fatigue as he advanced.
A fierce gale suddenly surged toward him.
"Don't underestimate the ninja alliance, you bastard!"
Not far away, Temari swung her massive fan, unleashing the Wind Style: Great Sickle Weasel Technique with devastating force.
Boom!!
The blade-like winds swept across the battlefield, causing the ninjas around Gensou to be blown away by the pressure.
Gensou glanced at Temari. Aside from his black hair billowing in the wind, his body remained motionless.
Still, he nodded toward Temari and acknowledged,
"You're right. I shouldn't underestimate the ninja alliance. In that case..."
"You—"
Temari felt an overwhelming sense of unease at Gensou's unscathed state under her best Wind Style technique. She wanted to question him but had no time.
The purple ripples of Gensou's Rinnegan flickered, and four words escaped his lips:
"Shinra Tensei."
In an instant!
A massive repulsive force erupted from Gensou, sweeping outward in all directions with unparalleled momentum.
Temari only saw a flash before her eyes.
Resistance was futile.
By the time she regained awareness, she found herself hurtling backward through the air.
Around her, countless other ninjas suffered the same fate, their screams echoing as they were flung away.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Like dumplings, the ninjas crashed into the ground one after another, unable to move.
Where Gensou had stood, a massive crater now stretched outward.
Within a radius of one to two hundred meters, not a single ninja remained standing.
And this was Gensou holding back.
If he had used the Super Shinra Tensei like at Mount Myōboku, not many of the ten thousand here would have survived.
Gensou didn't want to waste too many potential "recharging batteries."
Moreover, while the Super Shinra Tensei didn't shorten his lifespan, it consumed a significant amount of chakra. Knowing there were still many battles ahead, Gensou conserved his strength.
Even so, the remaining ninjas of the first interception force stared in utter shock.
Their fallen comrades littered the ground, while Gensou, their enemy, showed no signs of exhaustion.
Their bodies trembled involuntarily.
One man was this strong?
Many ninjas had disagreed with the village leadership's decision to disturb the rest of the deceased predecessors and resurrect them with Edo Tensei. They believed that the tens of thousands of ninjas in the current alliance would be more than enough to deal with Gensou.
But now, having faced him personally, they realized they had been wrong.
And the following events only confirmed their error.
"Ahhh!"
If their earlier shouts had been to muster courage, their cries now were filled with pain and despair.
Gensou moved like an unstoppable force, cutting through their ranks. No ninja could withstand even a single move, falling like dominoes wherever he went.
Ninjas who tried to use jutsu found their techniques completely ineffective, and worse, they were reflected back at them with several times the original power.
Even coordinated defensive techniques from dozens of ninjas failed to stop Gensou, leaving them writhing in pain alongside their allies.
Witnessing this, the remaining ninjas were consumed by a deep sense of helplessness.
No match in taijutsu, no chance with ninjutsu, and genjutsu was pointless.
Though they had come as a force of ten thousand to surround Gensou, it felt as if he alone had encircled them instead.
It was utterly despairing!
And so it was.
As Gensou ignored a trembling ninja at the back of the formation, passing by without a glance, he lifted his gaze to the empty space ahead.
There were no more obstacles in his way.
This meant he had completely broken through the army of ten thousand.
Turning back, Gensou surveyed the path he had taken.
The ground was littered with ninja uniforms from all five great villages. Many groaned in pain, others screamed, and some had already fallen silent.
In areas Gensou hadn't passed, many ninjas stood frozen, watching him. They wanted to fulfill their duties but couldn't muster the courage to act.
Gensou understood. The so-called first interception force was finished.
Without wasting any more time, he turned and continued forward.
