Chapter 259

["The Reality-Warping Cat, aside from its primary abilities, is no different from an ordinary cat. It can be kept as a pet and can even temporarily share its power with other cats. However, this effect dissipates if the other cats are away from the Reality-Warping Cat for more than three hours."]

["When encountering friendly individuals, the Reality-Warping Cat may transform them into cats to play together and will revert them based on their consent. For unfriendly individuals, it will transform them into small animals like mice or fish, which it may hunt and kill."]

Hearing the screen's explanation, everyone present gained a new understanding of this extraordinary cat.

Mordo: "No way, a tiny cat capable of altering reality and changing others' forms? That's terrifying! It has to be a magical creature!"

Nami: "But it looks so cute!"

Naruto: "That sounds pretty strong, but isn't it similar to our transformation jutsu? Doesn't seem that hard to do."

Ancient One: "I'm unfamiliar with your transformation jutsu, but reality-warping isn't just about altering appearances. It fundamentally changes the target's essence. For example, turning a chair into water—it ceases to be a chair and becomes water permanently, with all the properties of water."

Jiraiya: "I see. In that case, it's definitely beyond our ninjutsu. Our transformations are mere disguises; they don't alter the intrinsic nature of objects."

Nobita: "This cat is incredible! It might even be more powerful than Doraemon!"

Doraemon: "Are you kidding me? It's just transformation! I have plenty of gadgets that can do that!"

Tony Stark: "Hmm. So, reality-warping could be translated into scientific tools? Now that's something I'd like to figure out!"

Doraemon: "I'm not sure how to explain it…"

Dan: "This cat is no joke. If it can kill anyone it dislikes, how does it decide who's 'unfriendly'? What if it holds grudges over small things?"

Bruce Wayne: "That's a valid concern. But since the reward is given to Hill, it should follow her commands, right?"

Nick Fury: "Haha! Regardless, Hill, you're lucky. This fascinating pet could become an unexpected asset in battle!"

Fury was pleased with Hill's acquisition of the Reality-Warping Cat. A creature with such unique abilities? It reminded him of another feline—Goose, the Flerken that injured his eye. Fury's scarred eye tingled at the memory.

"I should warn Hill not to overdo it with the cat, or she might end up like me—missing an eye," Fury thought to himself.

Hill: "This cat is terrifying! How am I supposed to take care of it?"

Hill felt conflicted. A cat with such potent abilities? One wrong move could spell disaster. She couldn't help envying others who received inanimate objects or simple gadgets as rewards.

Still, the cat seemed to be rubbing against her affectionately, so maybe it would obey her.

"Hey, Reality-Warping Cat," Hill said cautiously, reaching out to pet it.

"I heard you can change living beings' appearances. Is that true? Could you show me?"

The cat's telepathic response came immediately.

"Of course."

The cat scanned its surroundings before locking eyes on a nearby agent.

In the blink of an eye, the agent shrank down and transformed into a mouse!

The sudden transformation caused a wave of panic among those present. People recoiled in shock, utterly bewildered by what had just happened.

Hill, though mentally prepared, was still floored. Watching a colleague turn into a mouse with no warning left her speechless, her mouth agape.

"What the hell? What just happened?" Banner shouted, his scientific mind completely short-circuited by the surreal event.

"Hey, change them back!" Hill demanded, lightly tapping the Reality-Warping Cat, fearing the transformed agent might scurry off and be lost forever.

"Don't worry. If they stay away from me for an hour, they'll naturally revert. But since it's your command, I'll oblige."

With that, the mouse instantly returned to its original human form, fully clothed and unharmed.

Seeing her colleague restored, Hill sighed in relief. However, she remained deeply conflicted about her new pet, both awed and anxious.

"You're as formidable as ever," Cain remarked nonchalantly, unbothered by the display.

"As formidable as I am, I wouldn't dare try that on you. It would just backfire and leave me stuck forever," the cat replied, its yellow eyes briefly reflecting a human-like wariness.

Cain chuckled and shook his head, then turned to Hill. "Perhaps we should leave now?"

"Alright," Hill agreed. She felt overwhelmed and needed time to process everything. She instructed her team to escort Cain to the aircraft before turning to Bruce Banner.

"Dr. Banner, you…"

"I'm coming with you!"

Banner interrupted, surprising everyone, including Hill.

"Maybe it's time I stopped running. Besides, I really want to study that cat," he added, his curiosity as a scientist reignited.

The Reality-Warping Cat glanced briefly at Banner before turning its attention back to Hill, rubbing against her leg.

Pleased with how things were turning out, Hill picked up the cat and directed everyone to board the aircraft bound for S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.

"Hey! Bruce Banner is a wanted criminal under the military's jurisdiction! S.H.I.E.L.D. can't just take him away!" General Ross shouted, his frustration boiling over.

"Sorry, General, but this is a S.H.I.E.L.D. operation. It's none of your concern," Hill retorted sharply.

Ross's face darkened, and just as he prepared to argue further, he suddenly transformed into a mouse!

Seeing this, Hill immediately glanced at the cat in her arms.

"That pushy guy annoyed me. Next time, let me handle people like that," the Reality-Warping Cat said, its tone dripping with disdain.
