Bruce Wayne: For something to have those properties... it's basically undetectable! Who would ever think to monitor shadows?

Arthur: Exactly! Even if someone did spot one, they'd probably assume it was just a bug—nobody would care!

Sengoku: This thing is way more troublesome than a giant monster! At least those are visible and you can fight them directly. But this thing? It's so hidden you'd never notice it!

Dan Moroboshi: And since it merges with the host's shadow, it's even harder to detect.

Daigo: Any movement could trigger the Shadow Spider to harm its host. And the host dies horribly… then their shadow splits into countless spiders. What is this thing!?

Mei Terumi: Ugh, just hearing about it makes my skin crawl. Regular spiders are already disgusting—this is so much worse!

Shizune: Seriously revolting.

Clark Kent: …I'm not sure.

Barry Allen: If one of these creatures ever shows up, I guess all I could do is use my speed force to yank the infected person into sunlight and expose it.

Bruce Wayne: That could work, though normal sunlight might not be enough. We'll probably need some high-intensity lighting too.

At that moment, Bruce glanced at his yellow lantern ring—with that, he could generate massive light sources.

Akainu: Kizaru, if these things ever show up here, we're going to need your light powers.

Kizaru: Huh? Me? Yeah… guess that's true.

Usopp: I really don't want to run into one of these things! They hide in shadows and are impossible to find—so gross!

Robin: They're basically the perfect assassins.

Nami: Don't worry, we've got Luffy's green lantern ring, don't we?

Luffy: Huh? Oh yeah! But wouldn't it be more fun to catch one and raise it?

Goku: What's there to be scared of? It's so weak, you two can totally handle it, right?

Yamcha: Idiot! Strength has nothing to do with it! Didn't you listen earlier? Just a bit of stimulation and the spider kills the host! And it hides super well—you can't even sense its presence!

Yamcha: At first, we might rely on the screen's info to find where it appears, but once more start popping up, how are we supposed to track them all down?

Gohan: Yamcha's right. The Shadow Spider might be weak, but it's incredibly hard to deal with.

Goku: I guess that makes sense… Oh right! Don't we still have the Dragon Balls?

Goku: We can just use the Dragon Balls to drive out all the Shadow Spiders!

Yamcha: Hey, that's true! Good call!

Now that Yamcha and Chiaotzu had a plan, they stopped hunting the humanoid creatures and turned to find Bulma.

"Wait—you can just come to me."

As they moved, a voice echoed in their minds—it was the voice of the Guardian.

"Eh? Kami-sama?"

Yamcha and Chiaotzu paused and looked up, confused about why the Guardian had contacted them.

"I'm not sure what new threat has appeared, but I sensed you'd need the Dragon Balls. I've already made preparations."

The Guardian's voice was calm and steady.

"Really?! You're amazing, Kami-sama!"

Yamcha shouted excitedly.

"Yes. I had a feeling we'd need to revive all the people killed by the humanoid beasts and xenomorphs, so I asked Bulma to help gather the Dragon Balls. I was going to ask you two for help—but didn't want to distract you from fighting the threats."

"I've already started summoning Shenron. Come quickly."

"Yes!"

Yamcha and Chiaotzu immediately flew toward the Lookout.

As they approached, the sky turned pitch black—clouds rolled in and lightning flashed.

It was the sign: Shenron was arriving!

When they landed at the Lookout, the dragon descended from the heavens, towering over them with a mighty presence.

"It was Kami-sama who summoned me? Then it must be urgent. Speak your wish—I shall grant it."

Shenron said calmly.

"Shenron! Our world is now threatened by a species called Shadow Spiders. Can you eliminate them?"

Yamcha pleaded earnestly.

Shenron glowed brightly, as though preparing to grant the wish.

Seeing this, Yamcha and Chiaotzu grinned excitedly.

If SCPs could be handled this easily, that would be a huge relief!

But then…

"I'm sorry. That is beyond my power."

Shenron's reply left them both shocked.
