Collision

Nora was getting ready for the day when she heard a knock at her door. She opened it to find her best friend, Jane, standing on the other side.

"Hey i thought I'd come by and see how you're doing," Jane said with a bright smile.

"Oh, Jane, you're a lifesaver," Nora said, pulling her friend into a hug.

"So, how's it going with Alex?" Jane asked, settling onto the couch.

"Well, I don't know," Nora replied.

Nora sighed and sank into the couch next to her friend. "But sometimes I feel like he's never going to accept me for who I am."

"You can't change who you are, Nora. And you shouldn't have to," Jane replied. "Alex needs to see that.

"I know, but it's so hard when he's always criticizing everything I do," Nora said, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "He's a control freak, and I'm just not like that. I need to be free to be myself."

Alex opened the door, his eyes darting around the apartment as he scanned the space for any sign of intrusion. As he stepped further into the room, he caught sight of a woman on the couch, chatting with Nora. His muscles tensed as his grip tightened around the door handle.

"Who the hell are you?" he demanded, his voice laced with a frosty edge. Nora jumped to her feet, a flash of anger crossing her face. "She's my best friend, Jane.

"Your best friend?" Alex's brow furrowed as he took a step towards the couch. "I appreciate that you want to have friends over, but you should've asked me first."

Nora crossed her arms, her stance unyielding. "Why? This is my home too. I shouldn't have to ask permission for my friends to visit."

"Your home?" Alex repeated, his voice rising.

Alex's jaw clenched as he advanced on Nora, his words sharp and biting. "Your home? This is my house, Nora. You're not my partner. If you want to have people over, you should ask me first."

Nora's cheeks flushed with indignation. "And what if you don't approve?" she retorted, her eyes flashing. "Do I have to run every little thing past you?"

While Nora and Alex were exchanging heated words, Jane couldn't help but admire Alex's physical features. His chiseled jaw and strong brow made him look like a Greek god, and the intensity of his gaze sent a tingle down her spine.

Even in the midst of their argument, she found herself captivated by the way his lips moved and his shoulders tensed. She was in the presence of a man who exuded power and authority, and she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.

Jane's eyes darted between Alex and Nora, watching their confrontation with rapt attention. She couldn't help but notice the way Alex's muscles rippled beneath his shirt as he spoke,She could tell that Alex was used to being in control, and she found herself wondering what it would be like to have that power directed towards her. She flushed at the thought, her heart racing as she struggled to keep her composure.

"Uh, excuse me, I'm Jane," Jane said, holding out her hand. "I hope I'm not intruding. I'm just here to see Nora."

Alex glanced down at her outstretched hand."Nice to meet you, Alex," Jane said, trying to ease the tension in the room.

Alex's eyes flashed as he glared at her. "It's Alexander,to you" he corrected, his voice low and threatening.

Jane's cheeks flushed, and she shrank back a little, suddenly feeling small and insignificant in his presence. "Oh, sorry, Alexander," she stammered. "I didn't mean to offend you.

"You should learn to respect people's names," Alex said, his voice rising. "Especially in my own home."

Nora stepped forward, her hands balled into fists at her sides. "She didn't do anything wrong, Alex. You're being unreasonable." "Unreasonable?" Alex repeated, his eyes blazing. "I'm just trying to establish some boundaries here, Nora.

"Boundaries?" Nora snapped. "I can't even have a friend over without you breathing down my neck. Do you want me to ask your permission for every little thing I do? I'm not your property, Alex."

"Don't twist my words," Alex said, his voice rising. "I'm not trying to control you. I'm trying to maintain some order in my life. And you're disrupting that!"

With that, he stormed into his room, slamming the door behind him.

As the sound of his footsteps faded, Nora sank into the couch, her head in her hands. Jane quickly moved to sit next to her, rubbing her back in an effort to comfort her

"Are you okay?" Jane asked, her hand still resting on Nora's shoulder.

Nora nodded"Yeah, I'm fine," she muttered. "I'm just... exhausted by all of this."

Jane nodded sympathetically, but her mind was racing. She couldn't help but replay the scene in her mind, imagining herself in Nora's place, standing up to Alex's powerful presence.

As Jane comforted Nora, she couldn't shake the image of Alex from her mind. His intense stare, his chiseled features, the way his muscles rippled beneath his shirt she couldn't help but be drawn to him.

She knew it was wrong to be attracted to her best friend's housemate, but she couldn't help herself. There was something primal and dangerous about him that made her heart race and her blood sing.

Jane shifted uncomfortably on the couch, aware that her thoughts were straying to dangerous territory. She knew that Alex was bad news he was controlling, demanding, and impossible to please.

And yet, she found herself wondering what it would be like to have that power directed at her. To be the object of his attention, the focus of his fiery gaze.

She glanced at Nora, what would she think if she knew what Jane was thinking? Would she be angry?

After a long, awkward silence, Jane finally spoke up. "Nora, I know he's been giving you a hard time, but... I have to admit he is quite handsome."

Nora looked up, her eyes widening in shock. "Handsome? Are you kidding me? The guy is a controlling jerk!"

Jane nodded, acknowledging her friend's perspective. "I know, I know. But there's just something about him...

Nora shook her head in disbelief. "I can't believe you're sticking up for him. What happened to being on my side?"

Jane reached out and took her friend's hand. "I am on your side, Nora. But I also think there might be more to Alex than we realize.

Nora sighed. "Maybe you're right. But he's still a pain in my ass."

Jane chuckled softly. "Well, can't deny that. But even pains in the ass can be...

...attractive in a dark and brooding sort of way," Jane finished with a grin. Nora rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just don't start crushing on him, okay?"

"Me? Crush on Alex?" Jane laughed. "As if! I'm not that crazy. Besides, he's obviously not the relationship type."

"Clearly," Nora agreed. "He's the 'loner who hates the world' type.
