Mia stood alone in the middle of Andrew's apartment as Misty sniffed around. She looked around, now noticing all the smaller details of Andrew's place.

She walked around, her hand grazing the back of the leather couch as she moved. She looked at the picture frames hung on the walls, seeing unfamiliar faces that seemed to be his family. Then she chanced upon a photograph with familiar faces, including her own. Their old university group, framed and up on Andrew's wall, took her aback. She didn't think he cared about them that much.

She moved on to his bookshelf, which seemed to be the centerpiece of the room. She browsed the spines on the shelves, noting that she appreciated his taste in books, something that didn't surprise her. Andrew's taste was eclectic but thoughtful, a mix of classics and modern works, each one seeming to tell a story about him.
