Chapter 70: Svarog is Protecting His Little Brother's Body

Jepard pushed open the door and walked in.

Screwing up her courage, Siluvia took a breath, brushed her hair behind her ear, and greeted him with a smile: "Jepard—you're here! I thought things were so intense on the front lines that you wouldn't have time to come over, haha..."

Jepard furrowed his brows in confusion: "It's been relatively calm recently, and I've come back to town to handle some matters... Sis, you don't look quite right. Did something happen?"

Siluvia's expression stiffened: "No, no, it's nothing. What makes you say that?"

Jepard pointed to himself: "You usually don't call me by my full name."

Damn, he's got a rock head but sharp instincts! No wonder he's my brother!

Siluvia thought, gritting her teeth.

"Oh, you always hated it when I called you 'little brother' in public! I thought you were right and decided it's better to call you by your name. Right, little brother?" she said with a sweet smile.

Jepard sighed helplessly: "Fine, call me whatever you want."

"By the way, little brother, since you're here, why not have a cup of tea before you leave?" Siluvia said enthusiastically.

Jepard raised an eyebrow: "You have tea here?"

Oh no, I don't.

"Well... at least have a glass of water before you go..." Siluvia's smile grew awkward.

"You have water here?" Jepard questioned again.

Oh no, I don't.

The only liquid she had stored in the workshop was alcohol.

Danheng, hidden in the ceiling, gave her a disapproving look, condemning her messy lifestyle.

"Ah... that's just how we Belobogians are..." Siluvia mumbled.

"Sis, you really should drink less and take better care of your hygiene. Look how long it's been since you cleaned this place..." Jepard began nagging like a mother hen.

"Pfft, it's funny to see a sister getting lectured on basic living skills by her younger brother..." Seele, hiding in a cabinet, couldn't help but laugh.

Gu Tang nodded: "Indeed, it is quite amusing."

Feeling her image was tarnished, Siluvia's face turned a little red, and she quickly changed the subject: "So, why did the city suddenly go on lockdown? Did something happen?"

Faced with his sister's question, Jepard hesitated: "Um... I was instructed to keep it confidential."

Siluvia pretended to wipe a tear: "Oh... Little Jep, you've become such a big shot... looking down on your commoner sister..."

"Pfft, Little Jep..." March 7th couldn't hold back her laughter from the corner.

Yes, now his image is tarnished too.

Siluvia cheered inwardly.

"Sis, don't be like that... Sigh, whatever. If I don't tell you, Pela will anyway..." Jepard sighed. "Last night, Bronya suddenly appeared and entered the Klypeum. The Great Guardian suspects that the previous intruders did not fall into the Fragmentum but followed Bronya back to the Administrative District, so she ordered a citywide lockdown."

"Just as I thought..." Seele muttered to herself.

"Don't worry, we'll find her," Gu Tang assured her.

"Yes, I trust you," Seele said, looking into Gu Tang's eyes. "And I trust her too."

Danheng, on the ceiling, shifted slightly, squinting as he carefully observed the gap in Jepard's collar.

It's not that he was interested in the man's collarbone; he just wanted to see if he was wearing a black undershirt.

This made Jepard suddenly feel a chill, goosebumps rising.

He decided it was best to leave quickly.

"Sis, I left my limited edition water bottle from the Goethe Hotel's anniversary here last time. I'll take it and leave," Jepard said to Siluvia.

Oh no, I haven't made him eat the green bean cake yet.

Siluvia thought anxiously.

Should I just force it?

"Okay, let me get it for you." Siluvia smiled, reaching for a water bottle on a shelf.

Then, she 'accidentally' dropped it.

The metal water bottle clattered against the floor with a clear sound.

"Sis, you need to be more careful." Jepard quickly bent down to pick it up. "This is a limited edition; if it gets damaged..."

Just as he lifted his head.

"Ora!"

Siluvia hurled the green bean cake towards Jepard's mouth.

!!!

Should I say he's not a battle-hardened soldier for nothing? Jepard dodged the green bean cake with a swift movement.

"Sis, what are you..."

Before he could finish his question.

Danheng, from the ceiling, threw the remaining green bean cake.

Thunk!

The green bean cake hit Jepard's mouth hard, making him stumble backward.

And then...

He choked.

"Mmm... mmm..." Jepard clutched his throat, unable to breathe, his face turning red.

"Ah, sorry, it seems to be too big," Danheng apologized politely.

"Wow! Little brother, don't die!" Siluvia rushed over and performed the Heimlich maneuver on Jepard.

"Cough! Cough! Hoo... hoo..." Jepard spat out the foreign object, gasping for air.

Before he could react, Stelle had already rushed out.

Thunk!

Jepard was knocked out by Stelle's bat.

His tall figure slumped to the ground.

"Um... looks like the plan failed," Gu Tang said, looking at the fallen Jepard.

"Have we gone too far?" Even Seele felt a bit of pity.

Danheng looked at the unconscious Jepard, his expression calm as he asked, "Can I take off his clothes?"

Everyone was shocked, staring at Danheng.

Siluvia quickly rushed over, spreading her arms to protect Jepard: "Wait, what are you planning to do to my little brother?"

"Indeed, there's no one normal on the Astral Express," Seele sighed.

Danheng crossed his arms: "Don't worry, I don't want to steal his clothes... I'm interested in what's under them."

Siluvia couldn't help but gasp.

Although she knew her brother was popular, she didn't expect this...

"Time is pressing; let's handle the Stellarons issue first." Gu Tang advised.

Danheng nodded: "You're right, bro. We'll definitely have another chance later."

Siluvia decided to keep Jepard far away from Danheng.

Gu Tang took out handcuffs and cuffed Jepard.

Then he picked up the water bottle from the floor and placed it in Jepard's arms.

"Alright, let's go with the original plan. Siluvia, lead us to the Iron something District," Gu Tang said, clapping his hands.

"It's a pity we couldn't get Jepard on our side," March 7th said regretfully.

"Don't think too much. Jepard won't question the Great Guardian's orders. Even I, his sister, can't change his mind," Siluvia said.

"Let's set off then. I can't wait," Stelle said, resting the bat on her shoulder, ready for action.

Seele looked at Stelle: "Don't forget we're going for a stealth mission."

"No worries, in my experience, stealth usually ends in a fight," Stelle said nonchalantly.

"But with Svarog, we didn't end up fighting, did we?" March 7th asked.

"Strictly speaking, we did fight Svarog. It's just that we didn't have to get involved directly," Stelle corrected.
