Chapter 3 Hero Saves the Beauty

"I'm sorry... I... I didn't mean to..." Chu Yi stammered.

Not intentional? Who would believe that? In a flash, Gu Xin's good impression of him vanished.

She had thought him kind, a gentleman even, but now he seemed no different from the scoundrels and thugs in the street.

Gu Xin turned away, not facing him anymore, and didn't stop until she was past the ticket barrier, finally leaving Chu Yi far behind.

The train was only stopping for ten minutes, and Chu Yi was polite, allowing the elderly and children to go ahead of him.

A few minutes later, Chu Yi boarded the train, and as it happened, Gu Xin's seat was right across from his own.

Chu Yi greeted Gu Xin cheerfully, but maybe because of the unpleasantness at the ticket gate, Gu Xin just nodded at him politely.

Then, two girls with big suitcases came towards them, struggling to find space in the already crammed luggage rack.

"Let me help you with that," Chu Yi offered generously, moving forward to assist.

With his handsome looks and a hint of abs, who wouldn't find him charming? The girls gazed at Chu Yi, their eyes sparkling.

"Thank you~" said the girls sweetly.

After helping the girls with their luggage, Chu Yi sat down, relieved, only then noticing that Gu Xin was leaning against the window with her eyes closed, headphones on.

The train slowly started moving, and the carriage quickly returned to quietness, with Chu Yi also closing his eyes gently.

Not long after, Chu Yi felt someone tapping his arm. Upon opening his eyes, he saw it was the two girls.

The girl gestured to Chu Yi, signaling him to look ahead.

A man with a thick beard was holding a sharp blade, carefully slicing open Gu Xin's bag, cutting a long slit.

"Stop it! What are you doing?"

Chu Yi's shout suddenly drew the attention of everyone in the carriage.

The bearded man was also stunned, "Mind your own damn business!"

Without hesitating, Chu Yi stood up and went straight towards the man, yanking him up by the collar.

"You looking for trouble?" the man hissed.

Sitting beside, Gu Xin still hadn't realized what was happening, her eyes closed, listening to music.

"If you're smart, put the knife down, or I'll make sure you regret it," said Chu Yi, showing no fear.

It seemed this kid was ready for a fight to the death, so the man gave up on being cautious, raising his dagger high, as if to stab Chu Yi.

Chu Yi dodged swiftly, making the man miss. The man turned and raised his dagger again, attempting to continue his attack on Chu Yi.

But Chu Yi had anticipated the man's moves; he kicked high, not only evading the dagger but also landing a fierce blow to the man's face.

The man's face was struck, anger turned to shame, and he furiously grabbed Gu Xin's hair, pulling her over.

Gu Xin, bewildered by sudden pain, felt the cold, sharp blade of the dagger pressed against her neck.

She screamed in panic, "Help! Save me..."

"Everybody back off, get the hell back! Or I'll kill her today!"

The passengers around hastily cleared a path, and Gu Xin was held by the throat, moved towards the door of the train carriage.

Gradually, the train slowed down, and they were almost at a stop. Gu Xin was held tightly, unable to move; even as Chu Yi wanted to save her, he couldn't make a move.

At last... the train came to a stop.

But the man still showed no signs of loosening his grip on Gu Xin, dragging her hair, with a dagger pressed against her neck, which had already left a red mark.

"We're already out, can you... let me go now?" Gu Xin stammered.

"Let you go? Little miss, don't play tricks, are you trying to fool a fool?" the man replied viciously.

Just then, a voice came from somewhere, "There's a train police! Catch him!"

The man quickly turned in panic, but there was no train police in sight, just two uniformed attendants.

"Damn! Trying to trick me, you got a death wish or what?"

It was in this perfect moment that Chu Yi, with quick eyes and hands, kicked the dagger out of his grip, and in the same move, swept Gu Xin into his arms.

"Quick! Get him; don't let him run!"

"Hurry! Block him..."

Station police sprang into action, catching up with him in just a few steps and capturing him.

Gu Xin, held in Chu Yi's embrace, was already so scared she had gone limp, breaking out in a copious sweat. Her face rested in Chu Yi's chest, and even though she wanted to keep her distance, she no longer had any strength left.

"Could you... help me find a place to sit?" Gu Xin said weakly.

Chu Yi acknowledged with a grunt, preparing to help her to a seat on the platform, when suddenly Gu Xin let out a cry of pain.

"What's wrong, are you feeling unwell?" Chu Yi's eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"My foot, I twisted my foot..."

"Don't move, let me check." Chu Yi didn't hesitate to lift her up and gently place her on the bench.

"Here, let me see, is it here?" Chu Yi held her foot, asking patiently.

Gu Xin hissed in pain, indeed, it seemed like a twist.

"I've learned some acupressure massage, relax and let me try," he said.

Her smooth, shapely calf rested on Chu Yi's leg as he tried to keep calm, carefully locating the pressure points before firmly pressing down on them.

"How is it, does it feel a bit better?" he asked.

Gu Xin nodded, her face flushed with embarrassment, "Uh huh... it does feel a little better than before."

Chu Yi's gaze shifted from her foot and he then noticed something under Gu Xin's tight skirt— a wardrobe malfunction!

Suddenly exposed... this... Chu Yi had not intended to see it, his face turned a bright red and seething hot.

Gu Xin realized something was off with him as he stared at the area beneath her thigh; she started to draw back her leg, but...

No matter how she moved, Chu Yi's hand was like a firm vice, gripping her tightly and leaving her unable to move.

"What are you doing! Did you hear me, let go, let go!" Gu Xin shouted.

"You can't move around now; I haven't finished pressing. Just wait a moment..." Chu Yi said, all seriousness.

"No need, I can manage on my own, let go!"

"When you help someone, you should see it through. Don't move around!" With that, Chu Yi pressed down deeply once more.
