Chapter 12: Finally Touching a Gun

"Hey, Sheriff, shouldn't questioning be your strong point?"

Sean frowned, ignored Moore, and tried again to communicate with Jim in the softest tone possible, but no matter what Sean said or how he said it, Jim had no reaction.

Sean actually doesn't have a good patience. If Carl wasn't here, Sean would have wanted to use some of the police station's methods of entertaining guests.

Jim's body began to tremble, and his lips opened wider and wider. "Die, everyone will die."

Jim's words were quite clear, and several people heard them. Sean quickly asked, "What are you talking about? Who's going to die?"

"Death, everyone will die, everyone will die." Jim repeated in a numb voice. He was not talking to anyone, but to himself, or to something invisible.

  "Death, everyone will die..."

  "die..."

Jim's speech became faster and faster, and his emotions became more excited.

Carl's feeling of uneasiness grew stronger and stronger. It was only a short time ago, could something go wrong?

At this time, Moore seemed to hear some noise, and suddenly let go of Jim and walked into the bushes behind. Moore took out his pistol and carefully pushed away the branches. He was stunned.

"Shit!" Moore reacted quickly and said hurriedly, "There are zombies! Go!"

Karl asked hurriedly, "How many are there and how far are they from us."

"Shit." Mor spat. "Who the hell knows? There's a huge black mass, only a few hundred meters away from us."

Carl said hurriedly, "Sean, Moore, get Jim back."

"Pah!" Moore spat a mouthful of thick phlegm. "This damn bastard, it's the end of the world and he's still sick."

"Isn't it because it's the end of the world that it drives people crazy?" Carl added, and suddenly felt a little pain in his arm.

It turned out that Sophia was holding his arm tightly. It was obvious that Sophia was also frightened. Karl comforted her softly, "It's okay, I'm here."

Sean and Moore picked Jim up and wanted to hold Jim's arm and walk back to the camp, but Jim's whole body was limp and he kept muttering.

"Shit." Moore cursed and put Jim's arms around his shoulders. Sean was on the other side, and the two of them almost carried Jim away.

Carl walked in front holding Sophia's hand, feeling increasingly uneasy, and his pace quickened.

Glenn came over at this time, "Sean, a lot of people want to know why you're in such a hurry, and some don't really want to leave."

"Glenn, you go and get him back with Moore, and I'll go tell everyone." Sean said.

Glenn nodded, took Sean's place, and held Jim together with Moore. Moore snorted in dissatisfaction, "Really? Sheriff, you're just going to leave like this?"

Sean didn't have time to deal with Moore. He caught up with Carl and Sophia in two steps and patted Carl on the shoulder, "Carl, run."

Carl nodded and said softly to Sophia, "Can you run?"

Sophia nodded, and Carl no longer hesitated. He took Sophia by the hand and ran back to the camp behind Sean.

As soon as I got back to the campground, I ran into Carol by the RV.

  "Sophia, come here quickly."

Sophia glanced at Carl and saw Carl nodded, then she ran to Carol. Carol hugged Sophia, patted Sophia on the back, and asked Sean:

"What happened? Glenn just told us to get ready to leave."

Sean said directly, "There are zombies! There's no time to explain. Take Sophia to the RV first and tell Dale to be ready to leave at any time."

Carol was startled, but then she reacted and didn't even go to her tent to get anything. She just carried Sophia directly to the RV.

Sean took out the Glock 17 from behind his waist and held out his hand, "Here."

"Ah?" Carl was a little stunned. "Then what are you going to do? I don't know how to use a gun."

"Have you forgotten? I also have a Mossberg. That's the gun a man should use." Sean smiled at Carl.

Carl took the Glock 17 blankly. It was a bit heavy, but not as heavy as he had imagined, probably only about one pound.

Sean continued, "I have to go get that Mossberg and go find your mom, so why don't you go to the RV first, I'll be back soon.

Carl, you have to be brave, you know, I promise that I will soon bring your mother to find you in the RV, but in this short time, if anything unexpected happens, you need to protect yourself. "

Carl nodded, "Don't worry, I will protect myself. And, Sean, thank you."

"Carl, you have to remember what I say next." Sean spoke very quickly, and it was obvious that he was not so relaxed:

"The safety is here, you need to put it on, the recoil on the Glock isn't that bad, but you still need to have both hands on it.

Remember not to hold the gun too tightly with your hands. There should be a certain degree of flexibility, so that the recoil will be much smaller. Do not press the small button on the gun handle, as it is used to change the magazine.

Then comes aiming. It's very simple. The notch, the crosshairs, and your target are in a straight line. Then you just need to gently pull the trigger.

Last but not least, don't give the gun to anyone, no one. Remember, there are only thirteen bullets. Don't shoot unless necessary."

Carl looked at the Glock 17 in his hand with some excitement. As a man, the excitement of touching a real gun for the first time was indescribable.

Sean's final words were, "Hurry up to the RV. I'm going to find your mother."

After Sean finished speaking, he ran straight to Lori's tent. Carl looked at Sean's receding figure, hesitated for a moment, and then went straight into the RV.

The RV was not far from Lori's tent, so Sean quickly ran back to the tent. Seeing Lori in the tent, Sean couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Sean was afraid that if Lori didn't leave the tent, it would be difficult to find her, so he gave Carl the gun just in case.

Lori was still packing clothes in the tent. Seeing Sean in a hurry, she couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Don't clean up, more zombies are coming, let's go to the RV!" Sean said as he took out a big bag from the corner of the tent.

Lori was stunned for a moment, then rushed to the bed, directly lifted the quilt, took out a photo album, hesitated for a moment, and picked up a bag that had been packed on the ground.

Sean has taken out his Mossberg M590 shotgun from the big bag. As Sean said, this is the weapon that a man should use.

After loading eight bullets, Sean put the remaining four directly into his pocket, slung the large bag over one shoulder and said to Lori, "Let's go."

Sean was stunned for a moment when he saw the photo album in Lori's hand, but at this moment, gunshots suddenly rang out outside.

  "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Sean reacted instantly, grabbed Lori and ran out of the tent.
