Chapter 32: Reconciliation

Moore pushed open the glass door and saw wisps of smoke rising from behind the bar, and immediately became alert.

He walked lightly, holding the dagger upside down, and approached slowly.

"Sheriff, I have to say, your disguise is really bad." Moore spat.

Old smokers always have a lot of phlegm, not to mention that Uncle More smokes more than just cigarettes...

Sean smiled and said, "I didn't think of hiding. There's no need to hide. They must have run into a lot of trouble and don't have time to deal with us."

Sean handed the cigarette box to Moore, who took it, took out a cigarette and lit it.

But just after putting it in his mouth, Moore threw the cigarette away and spat fiercely, "Damn it, it's already damp, and you're still smoking so vigorously."

Sean smiled nonchalantly, "I remember when I was still smoking, I smoked Camels, which cost eight dollars a pack. I didn't expect to see them again now."

Moore took out his cigarette and lit it. "The people on the other side have split into two groups. One group has already entered the police station."

Sean frowned, stood up, and was about to throw away the cigarette when Moore held him down.

"Keep sitting. I'll sit for a while too."

Moore sat down next to Sean, also leaning against the bar, with his arm directly around Sean's shoulders.

Sean knew that something must have changed, otherwise Moore would not be anxious. Sean was no longer anxious, "Anything else you haven't said?"

"Yes, there are quite a few zombies in the police station, and there are also quite a few zombies outside, surrounding that place."

"Heh." Sean smiled, "It seems like the zombies have helped us a lot."

"Hahahaha, even though those damn zombies are pretty indifferent, Mr. Mo is still very happy to see them fighting each other."

Sean shook his head and smiled, then lit another Camel cigarette.

"Wait until they come over, and then see if there is any chance. There are more and more zombies, and we are not safe here."

"Anyway, we have to get the weapons before we leave. We have already spent so much effort, we can't let it go to waste."

  "talk later."

The two of them didn't say anything else, just smoked and closed their eyes to rest.

After another cigarette's time, the glass door was pushed open again.

  "Brother, you're a little slow."

Moore stood up, but was stunned when he saw the person coming. It was not Daryl, but T.

"Shit, why is it you? Where is my brother?"

T-boy was surprised, "I saw Daryl go downstairs before me. Isn't he here?"

"Damn it!" Moore was anxious, "I have to go find my brother."

"Hey, wait a minute, More." Sean stopped More, "Daryl might just be delayed by something. There are still a few minutes until the time we agreed on."

"Shit, it's not you, brother. You say that easily." Moore broke free from Sean's arms and became angry.

"Moir, we should wait. If Daryl doesn't come when the time comes, we will go with you to find him. If you go out now, it will be too chaotic outside and you might get separated from him."

"Shit." Moore slammed his fist on the bar, but he finally heard what Sean said.

After finishing a cigarette, without taking a breath, Moore lit up another one, becoming more and more anxious.

"The time is up. Whether you can help me or not, don't stop me." Moore threw the half-smoked cigarette heavily on the ground and walked straight out the door.

Sean and T-boy quickly followed, "Of course we will help you, we are together, right?"

  The door opened.

It wasn't Maul who pushed him away, it was Daryl who pushed him away from the outside.

"Hurry up and find a place to hide. There are zombies following me."

"Shit!" Moore hugged Daryl excitedly, "Brother, you are late."

"It's not too late." Daryl said lightly.

"Come in first, there are zombies." Sean moved a table to block the door, and T also hurried to help.

Several people worked together to pile tables and chairs in front of the back door.

The zombies were already outside the door, one by one, pressing their rotten faces against the glass.

The rotten meat was rubbed off by the glass, making the already dirty glass door even more blurry.

"Hey, this way!" Sean shouted from the corridor.

The layout of the cafe, apart from the hall outside, is a corridor with small private rooms on both sides, and at the end of the corridor are the toilets and warehouse.

Daryl, More and T-boy quickly followed Sean.

  "Uh uh…"

There were also some zombies growling faintly in the corridor.

Everyone was on high alert and walked through the corridor, but they did not encounter any zombies. The zombies must be trapped in the box.

The zombies can't open the door, and one or two zombies can't break the door open, so naturally they can only be trapped inside.

Until some unlucky guy opened the door.

"There's a back door. Let's take a rest first." Sean breathed a sigh of relief.

Everyone stopped and sat down. Daryl took out a cigarette box, threw a cigarette to each of the three people, and then lit one for himself.

Moore took the cigarette and cursed, "Damn it, I smoked too much. My mouth feels uncomfortable. I really want a cup of iced Coke."

Sean smiled and said, "This is a cafe. If you want, you might be able to find some instant coffee."

"Shit, coffee is shit, even a dog would shake his head when seeing it, did anyone of you bring water?"

No one answered. I did bring some things with me when I came, but it was so tense at that time that no one cared about those things. I didn't take anything except the weapons and the backpack.

  "Shit." Moore cursed.

T-boy stood up and said, "I'll go look for it. I should be able to find it. Everyone should be thirsty too."

Sean thought for a moment and nodded, "Be careful, we need to rest for a while."

"Of course, after all, you have done a lot of things, so I can do this kind of small thing."

T-boy was carrying a shotgun and holding a boning knife.

Moore patted Daryl on the shoulder and said, "Brother, why are you so slow this time? This is not like you."

Daryl blew out a smoke ring and said lightly, "Solved a small problem."

Moore suddenly stood up, "Brother, are you hurt?"

"It's just a minor injury, no big deal." Daryl said lightly.

There was a bloodstain on Daryl's left arm. The light in the cafe was too dim, and Moore didn't notice it until he touched the bloodstain.

"Is it okay?" Sean also came over.

"I told you, it's just a minor injury, nothing serious. That grown man didn't even get a scratch. Is it necessary to make such a fuss?"

More had checked Daryl's wound and breathed a sigh of relief. It was indeed not serious. It was probably cut by a dagger and did not penetrate deep into the flesh.

Moore took out a dagger, cut his clothes, took out the cloth strips, and bandaged Daryl.

"I told you it's just a minor injury, no need to bandage it."

"Hey, buddy, you better behave yourself."

"Shit, Moore, if you talk to me in that tone again, I will beat you to a pulp."

  Still, Daryl didn't struggle.

Moore bandaged Daryl's wound and tied a bow on it, then nodded with satisfaction.

  "Nice, that's good."
