Chapter 7

-----------

Hannah cleared her throat and said.

I listened and pondered for a while. After all, I just reached the fourth order of life after the sixth feast.

This means I must prepare in advance. So this wounded Earth Bear is obviously a good opportunity.

I knew chances of me dying battling against a beast who had crossed even the upper layer of 5th order were fairly high, especially a battle I could clearly avoid.

Was the intessment brought by a creature who had mastered an element was huge enough for this?

Being a Dragon now was an irrefutable fact that could not be changed, oncs I had my true Dragon name.

The first thing I had to do in an unknown environment, in an unknown world is to adapt to this transformation.

I must not get to know this world with my human thinking.

Otherwise I might die without knowing how I wasn't careful.

Only those who had died once would know how lucky it was to be reborn.

Who knew if I would be given another chance if I were to die again?

Therefore, whether as human or dragon, it was most important for me to treasure my own life.

Then again I haven't eaten anything above fourth order that was magical, as the dragon lady does not care about the quality of the prey her depends hunts.

But I also knew chances like this won't happen again, it was so enticing to me that my instincts and my hunger started to have a fight, as thousands of thoughts flooded my mind.

But I had advanced to the sixth level of the Sacred Feast. This means I must be prepared in advance. And I soon was living on my own so I had to face these situations like a dragon. There are many creatures who covet for Dragon blood, especially True Dragon Blood.

So this Earth Bear is obviously a good opportunity.

"Here, take this," I said, pulling out a dire wolf carcass and placing it in front of Hannah.

Her eyes widened in surprise, but her mouth moved almost on its own.

"Eat this. I don't want you dying on me," I insisted.

As she hesitated, her mouth stopping just centimeters above the wolf's flesh, she looked at me with wide, questioning eyes.

Sighing, I knew I had to reassure her. "Don't worry, you won't be hunting that bear with me. This is just in case we have to run. I don't want to drag you along because you don't have the energy to keep up. Plus, consider it a reward."

I then turned to Emilia and tossed a half-eaten carcass of the dire wolf I had already started on. "You eat some too," I said.

Emilia glanced at the half-eaten, saliva-covered meat with a look of disgust as she closed her eyes.

I knew she would do something like that, after all, living with her for the past few months I fairly knew my dragon sisters. She was what all cultured people would call a typical "Tsundere" as a dragoness.

I always thought it was a illness that spread from a girl to another but after seeing her like this when there was nobody in my was like this I knew girls are born with this and must be a 'phase' and I hope she will grow out of her 'Tsundere phase'

I shook my head as Hannah was done eating "Let's go"

I stood up. I stretched and flapped my wings. Hannah happily followed behind, while Emilia lay on the side with eyes closed not touching the half eaten wolf corpse.

Drooping her eyelids, she glanced at me. The two young dragons still fantasise about hunting monsters. "Don't get eaten by the monsters." Emilia said while glancing at our parting figures.

**

I calculated the perimeter of a forest, Hannah, quietly walked behind.

I walked up the hill. Nothing but trees. Occasionally, we would encounter some wild beasts.

"Are you sure it's here?"

"I met it around here"

I've been looking for so long. Hannah was getting a little impatient with my question.

Then I thought for a moment. Gazing at a distant beast that was similar to a moose just bigger.

Under my sudden attack, the moose didn't have any time to react and before it knew it, its neck was bitten off.

Hannah looks at my neat and bloody appearance, swallowing some saliva,

"Is this for us to eat? But I am already full?

"Wishful thinking, this is for the Earth Bear to eat"

I spoke while looking at her. Then I started to search around, after finding a nice place where we had a great chance to run just in case.

After placing the moose in the right place, I cut open the moose's belly, instantly, the strong smell of blood got even stronger and spread all around.

The Bear's  sense of smell is very sensitive, and if Hannah is right and the Bear is as wounded as Hannah suggests then I am sure it hasn't had any good meal in the last few days.

If it's nearby, it will definitely show up. Hunger alone should be enough motivation for it to come here. And just in case, I have an even better prey with me—one that no creature could resist.

"All right, you can eat here."

I granted permission for Hannah to eat here. After speaking, I concealed myself in the nearby bushes, trying to make my body as inconspicuous as possible.

Hannah suddenly understood what I meant.

"Are you asking me to be the bait?" I didn't say anything for a second then I spoke, "Fine, I'll be the bait. When the hunting bear arrives, you can swoop in and deal with it. My imposing figure will surely attract it!"

I said without looking back. Hearing this, Hannah shook her head like a tambourine.

"Let me do it" Then Hannah walked forward after relaxing her nerves and she began to eat heartily. She ate while keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings.

I observed her intently, considering the possibility of having this dragon sister around more frequently in the future.

Before long, I noticed a massive Black Giant Bear approaching from the distance. However, something was clearly wrong with her. Her fur was matted with blood, and her body was covered in numerous knife wounds. Most distressingly, a broken black sword was lodged halfway into her neck, causing her to move with evident pain and difficulty.

Carefully, I extended my senses to assess her condition more accurately. The injuries were severe, and she seemed to be in considerable distress. It was likely that this fierce earth bear had recently encountered a human mercenary team, resulting in the brutal confrontation that left her in such a dire state.

As she saw Hannah it's eyes widened as the Earth Bear was now staring fiercely at Hannah's figure with clear greed in its eyes.

Omni: POV

It's very instinct told her that eating the little dragon not only can heal his injuries, But also greatly increase her strength.

Finally, she couldn't resist. She crouched down and charged forward like a tank. Hannah, who had just taken a few bites, was suddenly frightened.

She didn't even have time to swallow what was in her mouth. She ran away in an instant. Only then did she realise she wasn't prepared to retreat just now. Consequently, she found herself against a big stone while running.

The earth beat stood up directly, its massive body stood over 5 meters tall, it looked very imposing.

"Big Brother, hurry and save me." At this moment Hannah felt so small and helpless. While the Earth splitter bear looked excited.

Attacked by humans along the way, she's been holding in for a long time. Now it's all coming out.

Just then, I totally used the fact that she was completely focused on Hannah and not paying attention to anything else, I leaped directly onto the Earth Bear's back with my wings. And bit down on one of Earth Bear's eyes.

The intense pain made the earth bear growl loudly. She tried to pull me off with her massive bear paw. But my sharp claws were already firmly embedded in her body.

No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't pull me off. Seeing this, Hannah, Hastily moved away from the battlefield.

If she accidentally gets hit, I am afraid it'll be over.

The Earth Bear's violent swings couldn't shake me off. So it directly slammed into the stone wall, I then took the opportunity to jump down before it happened. The earth Bear's strong blood flowed out.

With a ferocious look on her face, and in my mouth, I still held one of her eyeballs, I chewed it for a moment and swallowed it in front of the Beast which made it even angrier.

This scene in the Earth Bear's one eye, Almost made her lose her sanity.

A wicked grin spread across my face as I had done this to provoke her even more, consumed by rage, she wouldn't attempt to flee. Her anger would cloud his judgment, rendering her hunting experience useless in this fight. Anger blinds all creatures.

The flesh of the Beast is the same, I don't know if it's influenced by the dragon nature, I feel like my personality is becoming more and more 'brutal'

'Roar,'

Some earthly yellow magic energy appeared around her. Suddenly, the earthy yellow spikes rolled rapidly from the ground beneath me.

I couldn't dodge all of them in time. And got stabbed by a ground bear spike. A yellow halo flashed over the surface of my body.

I felt my body become heavy after being stabbed. Then my movement slows down as well.

I suddenly realized. This bear can actually use the earth holding technique.

But I didn't panic. Just didn't expect its magic level to be so high. It can even use this kind of magic.

Seeing me being restricted, the ground bear applied a full covering spell on itself. Then it charged straight at me…

Seeing it approach, I allowed it to draw nearer, then employed one of the oldest tricks in the book. My tail flicked, scattering dirt all over its face.

Enraged or driven by instinct, it raised its hands to shield it's only remaining eye, momentarily forgetting about the protective Earth armor encasing its body, and losing sight briefly.

The fierce bear roared with its mouth wide open as I used some cheap move. Now seeing the opening, I spat venom directly into Bear's mouth.

The acid instantly corroded its throat. She fell to the ground with even a whimper.

"Don't blame me; it's the law of this multiverse, survival of the fittest. As the saying goes, 'All's fair in love and war.'"

I sighed. And ended it's suffering, around the Earth Bear's death, my natural healing factor did it's work, as my wounds started to heal at a visible speed.

Hannah ran over from somewhere, all existed with stars in her eyes.

"Big brother, you're incredible! You killed the fierce bear."

"Brother, does the sight of a nearly sixth-order earth bear's corpse make you happy?"

I didn't respond. Instead, I reached into the cracked skull of the bear with my claws and extracted a crystal.

'As expected! Such a powerful monster must have a magic crystal inside.' At this moment, Hannah gently squeezed my hand.

'Sure enough! Such a powerful monster must have a magic crystal inside.' At this moment, Hannah slowly shakes my hand.

"I glanced at her. After I am finished eating the rest is all yours and all the creatures that will remain at the end of the month."

It alone won't be enough for my seventh feast. Looking at the huge earth bear in front of us, Hannah's heart was filled with joy, especially knowing every time I am done feasting a lot of monster corpses remains.

Such a grand feast! Even if I were to only receive a leg, I doubt I could finish even half of it. And that's not to mention all the magnificent magical creatures my brother would hunt for his monthly banquet.
