Chapter 15:Secret Admirer
Alexis needed to clear up the mess in his life, so he thought, "Let's go for a drink with Rei. Everything will be cleared." But Rei didn't pick up the phone, and he couldn't find him in the office. Instead, he found Usami and casually suggested going for a drink with Kunishima-san. He agreed, but Kunishima-san asked, "Why?" "Relax, Kunishima-san, it's just a chill hangout." said Alexis. Kunishima was full of excuses, but after Alexis playfully teased him into submission, he finally caved. Usami inquired, "Where are we meeting?" to which Alexis replied, "Same old spot, as always." Alexis finally caught a glimpse of the message from Rei, declaring his absence until dinner time. Frustrated by not seeing his brother for two whole days, Alexis's irritation only grew upon reading the text. With a hint of sass, he shot back, "Won't be back until 11:00, so make your own dinner," fully aware that poor Rei couldn't even boil an egg.
The trio arrived at the designated meeting spot, catching sight of each other and exchanging friendly waves. Alexis took a seat and casually inquired, "What's everyone in the mood for to drink?" Usami responded with a nonchalant "Anything is fine," while Kunishima-san confidently declared, "Beer." After placing their orders, they engaged in conversation. Usami couldn't help but ask, "So, what's the real reason you wanted to meet up for drinks? I know you never do this without a purpose." Alexis retorted, "Do I need a reason to have a drink with my colleagues?" attempting to sound convincing, but no one was buying it. Usami prodded further, "Is it Rei-kun causing trouble again, or is there someone new in the picture that we don't know about?" His eyes held a mischievous glint, as if to say, "I know who your secret lover is." Alexis dismissed it with a wave, claiming, "Nah, no one. I'm too young for that kind of stuff." Kunishima snorted, "Too young, my foot! You were 20 when you flirted with me in front of everyone." Usami chuckled, "Oh, come on, Kuni-san. Relax." Kunishima couldn't help but let it slide, finding it amusing despite his anger. The beverages made their grand entrance, and Alexis couldn't help but think, "At last, the elixir to all my troubles." Without hesitation, he downed the entire concoction in one swift gulp. Usami's voice pierced the air, "Alexis, are you alright?!" Kunishima chimed in, clearly taken aback, "Are you seriously trying to convince us that nobody shattered your heart?" Alexis had reached the point of no return, completely sloshed. With a boisterous declaration, he exclaimed, "What's this bloke blabbering about? Is he pulling my leg?" before demanding another bottle. Kunishima, at last grasping the situation, inquired, "And who might this 'bloke' be?" Usami, in a drunken stupor, was also eagerly paying attention. Alexis exclaimed, "Is he under the impression that being the CEO gives him the right to toy with people's feelings?" Kunishima San inquired, "Toy with people's feelings? What are you talking about?" Alexis raised his voice, "He kissed me at the party and then again in his office. He claims he likes me, but I have my doubts." Usami glanced at his watch, a subtle hint that it was time to depart. He graciously assisted Alexis to his feet, bid farewell to Kunishima, settled the tab for their beverages, and gracefully exited the establishment. Kunishima followed suit, settling his own bill before making his exit.
It was the dead of night, and Rei was already beyond exhausted. Spending the evening with Koji engaging in bizarre activities like midnight bungee jumping, watching kinky films, and indulging in a lavish dinner had left him feeling utterly drained. Just as he finally settled into bed, the doorbell rudely interrupted his much-needed rest. Opening the door, he was greeted by Usami and Alexis. "Sam, what a delightful surprise," Rei exclaimed as he ushered Alexis to bed with a helping hand. After a brief exchange of pleasantries and a mention of the bar incident, Usami bid Rei goodnight, leaving him to finally catch up on his beauty sleep.
