Survival ( Part 1 )

From now on I will refer to 'alien' stars as 'people' from space because they look like people anyway.

Just now there was a little commotion among them upon hearing the news. People, however, calmed down quickly. Some even believed that they might survive because the 'people from space' are very powerful in their opinion.

However, Anka shattered their illusion of safety very quickly.

- Since there is not much time, I will speak quickly.

"I really don't want to stand out now, but to survive in the red scenarios, as many people as possible are recommended.

- First of all, I inform you that 'people on earth' do not know much about society in space...

'So you'd better not suspect that a human initiated this situation...'

- Second, right now you who would normally be quite strong still have your soul shackles on when you crossed the space boundary. Because of them you can't use your powers...

'So you're basically helpless and you need people so don't make things difficult...'

- The vessel is big and there are only 20 of us. Everyone will be responsible for an area and we will meet again as soon as possible here in an hour. Remember that we don't have much time so be practical.

'So don't think about the reasons behind the new scenario or Lan's death...'

Although Anka was quite clever, but that not make her a genius. She knew well that she had limits so for the moment she wanted to divert the attention of the crowd to someone while she found a plausible story.

"Don't forget the negotiation with the system."

Then while the people from space and earth quickly discussed where they were looking, Anka assigned the restaurant and kitchen to her and Fahim. No one had any objections. Honestly, some people didn't really like Fahim who was still drinking tea and didn't say anything.

Anka is glad that she was able to temporarily manage the group. She knew that this feat was only possible because they were still worried about survival otherwise the words of a woman on earth would not even make them to turn they head.

Now Anka knew that the situation was bad. Regardless of the point of view taken, it reached a dead end. Sirens were very vengeful and the value of these stars was not necessarily high for their races...

And the words about 'treasure' mentioned by the system worry her. She tried to remember if she had read any similar plot in the book... but there was nothing useful.

She already knew every corner of the restaurant and the kitchen so there was no need to look for the teleportation matrix around here...

- What are you thinking about ?

The sudden question took her by surprise. She turned her head and saw that Fahim , was still sitting at the table and enjoying the cake made last night.

'I could use some opinions from a second person.'

- What do you think the system refers to when it says mermaids' treasure'?

Anka asked using the most polite and soft tone she thought she could use.

The dragon picked up a piece of cake and pointed to a painting on the opposite wall. Anka followed the sign and saw the painting depicting the 'legend of the birth' of the mermaids.

Well, the birth of mermaids and elves more precisely. The painting shows a fight between a white-haired woman and a black-haired man. The facial features were covered with various colored spots.

The painting was as long as a film. Showing the scene of the two fighting on a rocky beach, then the scene of the black haired man being pierced through the chest by the white haired woman's scythe as he pierced her heart with a sword, the next shot showed the two embracing in the light in the sunset their blood mixing and falling on the stones...

In the next painting the stones crack and some elves and mermaids appear in the world. Legend says that elves come from the blood of the two gods and mermaids from their tears, but no one knows for sure.

Anka was a little confused.

'What does the legend of the birth of the mermaids have to do with the 'treasure'? '

Then her eyes widened.

- It could be...

- Yes .

'Damn it ...'

Now she knew why the situation was so messed up. She was able to relate to several situations in the book and now understood the situation which was even more dire now.

In the novel it was said that a group of elves kidnapped the egg of the future prince of mermaids. They wanted the 'birthstone' instead. The worst part is that they claimed to come from the second prince who happens to be Svartur...

Now with the Confirmation that the treasure was the 'birthstone', Anka was able to make the association, but she didn't know if Svartur was behind this incident or if it was another eleven staging this for him.

Anyway, they had to escape first, otherwise no one will intercede for them.

- Thank you for help .

Anka thanked Fahim with a sincere smile and then headed towards the table.

Anka even if she wasn't looking for the teleportation matrix was still doing something important. She was preparing supplies. If they manage to get off this planet the system will probably direct them to an unpopulated planet, so supplies would be essential for survival.

She quickly packed the necessities she remembered and used 100 gold coins each to buy a 10 square meter space backpack . Prepared one for everyone on the ship which was a bit expensive but she was confident she would get them back.

'If those 'people from space' survive they will surely reward me even if they hate me. They care a lot about the principle of duty after all ...'

[Ding!]

Then she hears voices in the restaurant.

'Looks like they're back.'

She wiped her hand and took the sandwiches with her to the restaurant.

'They probably didn't get to eat properly this morning.'

Although she had made a large tray of sandwiches, she made a separate one for Fahim. She didn't know exactly why she was still serving him, but it wasn't important. She loved doing it so it didn't matter.

While they were eating they presented the situation.

The pegasus Ewyn had luckily found the matrix and the elf Svartur even found a map of the planets they could go to. Most of them were, as Anka had suspected, unpopuled planet .

So she gave each of them the prepared backpack. Now after some time they all got over the shock of the situation and were much calmer.

'We must escape before any unforeseen event occurs...'

With that they quickly set off towards the teleportation matrix...

- Why are you in such a hurry? The system has been up for 2 hours, we are safe.

Felix asked Anka with a furrowed brow. Honestly, Anka would not have wanted to stand out like that for many reasons, but now she had nothing to do...

- Because the specified time is primarily relative. The system was probably referring to the time we can activate the teleporter not how long we have until the sirens come or anything else that can kill us.

-Oh.

Many people who had doubts about Anka relaxed a little. Anka knew that her situation was not rosy. She and that Lan were alone without an agency behind them, yet now she was the only one left.

The rest are practically acquaintances and friends of each other ... As for Anka ... she was a person without a background, with a rather tarnished reputation ...

If she does not hurry, it will become a scene in which everyone will doubt each other and the possibility of survival would simply be very small. It was only a few meters to the hall on the 5th floor where the matrix was located, but the vessel shook violently out of nowhere.

Anka quickly held on to the stair railing to keep from falling, and the rest did the same. They all quickly looked out the nearest window only to see huge waves heading their way. Now they were hurrying hard towards the teleporter.

In just three seconds they were all on the matrix. It was good that the mermaids didn't skimp when they made it, they could have finished 19 on it. The matrix was a rune circle that actually had some sort of system-made power and locator underneath. Now they were going to be teleported to one of the planets on the map randomly.

Anka was really excited. She's always liked wilderness survival scenarios even though she's never tried them...

While the light enveloped everyone, the voice of the system was heard in the ears of the people.

[ Red scenario - Escape the Mermaid Planet passed successfully.]
