Survival ( Part 7 )

- I was thinking of myself and Svartur as the main attackers, and Skoni as support in key moments. Fahim is supposed to be good at spells, so I put him under it. I have a talent that helps me quite a bit in battle but as I said I have some low physical stats so after a while I have to stop and replenish energy.

The elf seemed interested in her fighting talent…

- What talent do you have?

- Can use any weapon at master level.

-Wow.

The elf overreacted a bit but the amazement in his eyes was real. Then he took out some kind of knife from his clothes. This knife had a bit of an odd blade but it looked very nice.

- Can you use this?

Anka reached out and took the knife and instantly made several complicated movements that could hardly be seen with the naked eye. The group from space stares at her intently like a magician.

'It's a bit embarrassing...'

Anka was a bit shy now but tried to hide it. She turned the dagger to the elf and asked , Skoni , to what extent she could use gravity now.

- One that doubles the current strength or that doubles the current strength.

- Good . It will be useful in battle to slow down the beasts. And to help escape in case of injury or unforeseen situations.

The group approves.

- I can also use some inscription runes that cause fog or create some meteorology phenomena related to water ... but it takes a while to activate ...

The elf looked in awe at the star woman, thinking she was so powerful. The star woman caught the elf's gaze and a trace of redness appeared on her cheeks.

'They are both cute.'

Anka thought from the sidelines , and then looked at Fahim. He was now writing down everyone's strengths and weaknesses on a piece of paper.

- What spells are you good at, Fahim?

- Those of healing and control.

This time Anka and Skoni were the ones who overreacted. The elf seemed already aware of this fact.

'Obviously. They're friends after all, but if he has black hair why does he have powers related to light attributes? '

Powers of healing and control are among the light or life characteristics, while destruction, erosion, law are attributes of darkness and death.

Well, she didn't think too much about it and quickly bought a large notebook where wrote on it a list of what the system asked for. The list was quite long.

Abka didn't know if she would be able to collect them all, but really wanted to try. Then she decided to study the strange water in the river first. The group gathered together and looked for anyone who could cause any danger.

Anka noticed that the beast bodies in the viscous black water were all wolf-like, only larger in size and with fur a bit too long. Their bodies seemed to be torn apart by large claws, and in places large tufts of hair were missing, leaving teeth marks instead.

'Was it a pack fight?'

- Did you hear anything like the screams last night?

Anka asked Skoni and Fahim.

- Not .

Both answered with certainty.

'So they came from very far away.'

The girl looked up at the waterfall that continued to pour black water and decided to put the next course of action to a vote.

- The water probably has this color because of something upstream. Do you want to follow the course of the river and find the source?

The group thought for a moment and approved the investigation. So they packed their bags and climbed the high rock. This was around 27 meters but it was very uneven so it was not too difficult to climb.

To her surprise, Anka was the slowest in the ascent, so much so that the others had to wait for her at the top for 10 minutes.

'How embarrassing ... I will quickly raise these shameful statistics ...'

With resentment for her human body that was too small the girl continued with the group upriver. They walked for a long time and the forest became more and more dense. On the way they tried to fight smaller animals to see how they fight together.

To be honest, Anka thought they made a pretty good team. Even their personalities complemented each other beautifully.

Svartur was the one who acted before thinking, Anka took care of the details, Skoni with a serious but quiet personality intervened at the most suitable moments, and Fahim was the one who silently supported the team...

Even if at first they fought with small animals, gradually they had to fight with large breasts. The lucky thing was that they didn't encounter groups though that would have caught them off guard.

When they got hungry they sat down and ate from the provisions saved from the ship.

What Anka was looking for now is also the development of her fighting talent. She needed a few more wins and will evolve.

From the downed beasts they took some more common components and handed them over to the system earning 8000 coins. However they decided that the payment should be made at the end of the mission.

After they finished eating and rested a bit they continued forward. Suddenly they heard violent cries of beasts which made them on their guard. They slowly approached the source of the sound.

On the bank of the river a huge wolf lay wounded and howling fiercely. Black liquid was oozing from his fur and entering the water turning it instantly black.

Around the wolf were creatures like crows. They attacked the wolf from time to time tearing the flesh and hair ... The wolf looked very pitiful in that state, and the group didn't know what to do for now.

After watching for a while they decided to defeat the crows and save the wolf. The reason was simple - the feathers of these crows could be sold more expensively to the system for some reason.

So they briefly talked about a strategy and acted quickly. The elf was busy distracting them and drawing the attack while Anka and Skoni one-hit-killed them with team fighting.

From this morning until now Anka got two more points to her physical stats which was helping her a lot right now because these crows were really hard to kill. They had hard feathers and so did their skin. If it wasn't for her weapon and good skills, she wouldn't be able to kill them in one hit.

No matter how good the elf was at attracting attention, the crows also attacked Anka along the way, even though most were killed first, some succeeded.

'The sensation of having your skin and flesh ripped from you is terrible.'

Fahim cast healing spells for Anka but she didn't have time to heal, the fight continues and the system prompt for low energy annoys her but she doesn't say anything.

She quickly took out a potion and drank it. The fight continues. Anka had lost track of the number of crows but she knew they were getting fewer and fewer.

When the sky suddenly darkens due to a cloud, the crows suddenly leave. The group was caught off guard and looked at each other in confusion. Then, guessing something, they looked at the sky.

Black clouds were getting bigger and bigger and the wind was blowing strangely up and down.
